1.9td fiat ducato engine rebuild

We bought Fiat ducato in February 2024 and have been doing normal maintenance and build on it. One day on our way to have a weekend away it died on us. We have had to do total engine rebuild because mechanic found that this engine has been running on 3 cylinders for a while and has had couple overheating problems. Engine block was done in Algeciras,cylinder head came from @mercaculata, diesel pump rebuild in cordoba, turbo rebuild in Algeciras, new water pump from eBay Italy, new alternator from repuestos Pedro, new thermostat from Autodoc, gearbox rebuild in Valencia. It has taken us 2 months to source parts and then just a day to put it together. Unfortunately we have had to take out the gearbox again because it has internal leak. We have contacted people in Valencia and we are on our way to Valencia. Monday we have appointment at 10🤞. Now time to relax and drive up to Valencia

Hola @leamartinez6960 ! Tengo un problema con exactamente con el mismo motor y modelo. Querría saber cómo te las apañaste para desmontar y montar todo el motor y caja de cambios tú. Eres mecánico? Has usado algún manual que me puedas recomendar? Quiero hacer lo mismo con mi motor, desmontarlo entero, limpiarlo, ver que está todo en orden y volverlo a montar, porque en el mecánico me va a salir por un ojo de la cara. Algún consejo? Muchas gracias de antemano!
