I have made several of these currently working on my 6th one all have been given as gifts. First one was for my husband for him to use at dialysis. I love this pattern!
Absolutely fabulous!! Very clearly demonstrated. I always like to check where I am in my current row by taking note of the previous row. That is not always pointed out. So thank you xx
Suzanne... this happens to me all the time, when l start to crochet something l'm not sure of what I'm doing for the first time: Maybe l can help: Firstly l'm not listening properly to t he instructor.... l think l am, l find out later l misheard them... because l'm listening too hard and l'm tense and on edge worried l will miss something. * TIP:- When STARTING to watch the video instructor... FIRSTLY watch the VIDEO FROM STATE TO FINISH, NOT ONCE, BUT SEVERAL TIMES.... DO NOT CROCHET AT THIS TIME. ONLY CONCENTRATE. 2: TIP: You can slow down any video.... Tap onto your TABLET with yr finger, in the top right hand corner will appear 4 ICONS: TAP onto the last one, the wheel: Then 6 different selections will come up, tap onto THE PLAYBACK SPEED: NEXT, TAP TO CHOOSE THE SPEED YOU WANT: and go back to the video Check if you like the speed, or go back and choose a slower one, to whatever suits you. These are lifesavers for crocheting : TIP: When finished make sure to reverse back to normal speed. NOW: Go back to watching the video with this slowed down version: DO NOT CROCHET AT THIS TIME: With this TIP , YOU will be able to crochet those patterns that YOU do not understand... especially NEW projects: REWATCH your slowed down videos until YOU GAIN CONFIDENCE: Again this a life saver. ***** Another idea.... if you crochet with the instructor and you find you made a mistake eg.. you said, you had extra 9 stitches. TIP: Pull out your work.... START AGAIN.. NOW change to another colour wool: because by the time you crochet 4 5, 6, time the same piece one gets sick of the original colour wool: START with a different colour.. ALWAYS CHOOSE A LIGHTER COLOUR WOOL WHEN PRACTISING, you will be able to see the mistakes better. TIP: You must become familiar with the pattern, the more times you sample the crochet, the more you build YOUR CONFIDENCE: I mean by this, re-crochet your SAMPLE piece until YOU get it right, until YOUR STRESS is gone. ... very important. LEARNING TO CROCHET IS STRESEFUL: WE ARE NOT ALL BORN EXPERTS: When l conquer my stress, l feel like a winner. There will be a moment when you say "l got it now": "I understand what l'm supposed to do" !! Now choose your wool colours. God bless sweetheart !!
Another thing Suzanne... undoing your work 3 times isn't enough, TRY AGAIN & AGAIN! Unless, YOU find out the instructor isn't for your style of understanding. Move on to another video.
Thank you so much 💓. You are very kind to give me your hints. It's my first grand baby, and I really want to be able to make it happen. I've chosen an old pink color, very light, then a pearl gray and finally a light off white. Many thanks, I'll keep you posted 💓.
I’m making this blanket for my granddaughter is looking beautiful, thank you for sharing 😊

Please read your comments, l left some self help tips for you, see if they help !
I've been trying to make this pattern and have undone it 3 times 🫤. I always end up with 9 chains at the end. Gosh I just hope I can find my mistake.
