    is a very popular upgrade. The thing is a lot of people who do this dont track their ST150 and so makes no sense to do, apart from the look of the larger disc behind the wheel, which onbviously looks cool.
    But due to i am not tracking mine, i am currently having fitted, along with Eibach Springs, is EBC Grooved Discs, same size as standard, EBC GreenStuff pads and HEL brake hoses. This will then give a much stronger braking for fast road use and due to not going for bigger brakes not adding extra weight to the car

      @RebelClassics  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sam's ST150 is a daily not primarily a track car. Though an engine swap/turbo build is next so the bigger brakes will have easier time dealing with extra weight. Also, they just look so good!

      @@RebelClassics ahhh well yeh if doing a turbo build that might help haha. Can not wait to go for a drive once my Springs, discs, pads and hoses are all fitted

    Why front ST170 calipers if ST220 calipers are cheaper and brake pads are bigger?

    • @adi21071
      @adi21071 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! We didn't use ST170 calipers, just the carriers. This is what makes this swap so affordable and accesible, all you need for it are the ST170 carriers and the larger discs & pads.

    Hi, do the front carriers need to be modified to fit? So to recap standard st150 callipers/st170 pads/st170 discs and that’s it? Thanks.

    Good content lads, st170 brake callipers are great to use on the st150 if you don’t have the funds but 4 pots! I have an st150 and I have installed k- sport 8 pot callipers with grooved discs on mine and got st170 for rears it’s great due to mine is running 300bhp

      @@boostedchris6120 We love rowdy cars and are simply curious! Is it still running the Ford engine? Sam's been playing with idea of an engine swap for his, how did you come about to doing it? Why ST150 in particular? We've got a Car Stories series where we showcase friends & viewers cars, would you be interested in taking part?

      Mine is still the factory 2.0l duratec engine just fitted with a rotrex supercharger running 300bhp still not opened as they can hold 300bhp if looked after correctly but I’m going to forged my engine as I have done everything myself! I would recommend doing an engine swap but personally doing an engine swap like buying the engine and gearbox, the wiring loom etc adds up it’s cheaper to just keep the factory engine and go boosted route as for engine swap you’ll be thinking why didn’t I just go boosted route it can be better/ cheaper. I choose the st150 to be different from the other track cars as I have set it up correctly to perform well and handle well without any issues but I have another track car aswell and I’m doing another 2 builds for my self which are coming soon. I would like to take part but I’m always busy doing builds for my customers and doing builds for my self but if I have any free time I’ll happily show

    Hi guys, from Spain. Nice video. Its been a long time searching Focus ST170 front brake carriers for my Fiesta S150 but i dont found it. Guys, you know the Focus ST170 Original Part Number for the brake carriers?
    I search in the Original Ford Parts Catalogue but the front brakes carriers does not appear.
    It help me a lot to found it if i knew.
    Thanks.
    Sorry for my english.

      We don't have part numbers but the easiest way to find them is .. a scrap yard, we had ours aquablasted after and painted in high temperature paint - like new :D
