how did you find playing on rainbow strings?

Hey, it was not as simple as I initially expected, mainly because my brain is used to spotting red and black strings as anchors for C and F, and all of a sudden it needs to identify new patterns (in the first few minutes I often hit the orange string instead of the red one for Cs)! So if you’re used to standard color coding it is a small habit change. But you end up figuring out new mental patterns pretty quickly to find your way through the rainbow layout, and ultimately I found it a very interesting exercise, connecting differently to the instrument! Also, Morwenna who is the inventor of this instrument was telling me that when you start with it without prior habits it’s actually very intuitive. The challenge is transitioning from regular Celtic harp to rainbow and not the contrary!
