Harley Davidson Pro Street Tuner Easy Fix

If you are having issues with the blue tooth disconnecting when you try to Smart tune (auto tune) your Harley Davidson motorcycle this video is for you.
In this video I will tell you what causes the disconnection and how to fix it.
I will also take you on a ride with me as we tune my Harley Davidson Road Glide special together.

I can't get past a error retrieving calibration.
All vin serial numbers work. I can read bike data. Just can't tune

are you running full Kromewerks exhaust? how is the performance with the se tuner? no lack of torque? Great video by the way, any other mods on the motor?

Yes I have the full khromewerks it worked great for that application. Since then I have done a star racing 3030 cam and I dyno tuned the bike. That tuner worked great for what I needed it for and to keep the warranty at the time

How many knock events should I expect using this tuner? Seems during herder acceleration I’m gettin a single knock event on each cylinder.. is that to be expected?

Sorry to report I did not experience this. I just looked into Harley forums and I did see some talk about it with the power-vision tuner (although not the same tuner, still has auto tune feature). Sounded like most were saying run a few more auto tune sessions and if it’s fuel related it should improve.

Dealership is quoting me $200 to install and set up the pro street tuner. Saying plugging it in and setting it up will take 2 hours. Is this right?

No way lol…just pop off the left side panel and plug it in. Then connect to your phone like any other blue tooth device!

Does the tuner require the ecm to be reflashed?

Does it stop recording if my phone screen locks?

I did not observe that. I took my screen lock off while auto tuning just to prevent any issues.

@@ATCJeremyrides ok thanks. I tried tuning my 2023 Ultra Limited last night and I had no recordings when I got back to the house. My phone locks automatically. I’m going to try to disconnect my radio and run it again.

@@keithbousquette6337 sounds good! Also make sure your phone Bluetooth is not connected to the boom GTS. I went and clicked forget device in the phone bluetooth menu so it didn’t try to reconnect.

@@keithbousquette6337 Harley may have fixed it, or maybe not since you’re still having the same issue. I created this video to show the work around when the auto tune would drop off. In my experience disconnecting the phones Bluetooth to the boom GTS was the simplest way to achieve my goal of auto tuning the bike. Also make sure you wam the bike up to I think it said 180 degrees or the tuner will not record values.
