@@GrandProtectorDark I’m running way more mods than Matt is on a less powerful Pc and yeah loading time is like 15mins but performance never seems to be too much of an issue but good point I guess especially when you’re recording your screen and stuff too
It also makes it so that it can disable all external views so you can see, well, through the eyes of a Kerbal. (DE_IVAExtension required if you want to actually go anywhere)
Matt you send a Mun base to the mun without even exploring the tarrain befor hand. You need to go back even further where you landed a rover or a small mun mission so you know where the best place is.
I'd personally love a revival of Expedition Eve in the style of Life on Laythe. Venus IRL is my favorite planet, and naturally Eve is then also my favorite in the Kerbol system. I'd especially love seeing you work with rotor blades for atmospheric flight. Maybe even quad-copter skycranes to deploy surface base modules!
if you're gonna have multiple mods that you might confuse with each other, download janitors closet. it's includes mod filters to exclude specific parts from the part list
Expedition Eve sounds great. I’d love to see a fully developed space infrastructure too with proper relay networks, stations, etc. But you do what you want, and I’ll watch
So as someone who has delivered refrigerators before, you only don't turn them on right away if you have tilted them past 45 degrees. It's for the argon to settle back down if I remember right.
AIUI it's so the oil that lubricates the pump can drain back to where it's supposed to be. Argon isn't used in the refrigeration cycle AFAIK, it's boiling point of -185°C would be rather impractical as it's the phase change between liquid and gas (triggered by pressure changes but still) that's used to absorb and dump heat energy, tho I suppose that whatever refrigerant is used may need to settle; Freon is a the name of a family of chemicals that were commonly used for a long time, maybe you were thinking of that?
I would just like to mention how good Matt's segways have gotten, he really owns them now and doesn't say things like "wink wink" or "Hint Hint," which makes his adds so much more convincing. Props Matt, And great video!
My favorite part is that the story that Matt tells about why he didn't notice that the rocket launch didn't have sound took so long that it ended with the crew landing on the Mun.
Can you imagine if that actually happened in a space mission. Nixon's speech would have been fascinating "Well, the mission worked perfectly, but he was then distracted by a pretty cloud, and that's why we're all here at Arlington"
Yes do expedition eve that would be soooo cool with the station parts and base mods and also eve looks so amazing with the volumetric clouds mod and the paralax mod ads really cool plants to eve

One thing i really love about Matt is listenibg talking about his personal stuff hahaha no but seriously, you help some of us when you talk about personal experiences, for example the fridge exp. please dont stop haha
I haven't been paying much attention to the KSP1 stuff lately (between KSP2 and its subsequent implosion...) so imagine my surprise to see there's now an IVA first person mod with full interactables. Holy smokes.
Heres an idea, a combination of all the previous releplay esk series youve done, building a minmus hotell to generate funding for interplanetary missions to fund bases on other planets
The fridge story reminds me of when I was trying to cancel my phone service. It's hugely popular carrier, Verizon, and I walked into the nearest of like 12 stores by me and I was told I needed to call some number, no one in the store could help me, they were all salesmen. They gladly gave me the number, to dial on my own phone, to cancel their service.. by a call center worker.. So I sat on hold inside their brick and mortar store, on hold with a call center employee... Glad I'm no longer a paying customer.
Hey Matt - have you considered a hand-camera view showing you working the controls of your KSP console on launches and landings? Also, there are numerous planetary system mods adding planets, how about some of those too? Your tales of Curry’s are legendary btw, we enjoy them!
Your fridge story is crazy as I'd never do business with anyone that tries to pass off physical responsibility to a faceless section on their online business. Glad to hear you got a proper unit and reliable brand to work with.
Using the mod Through The Eyes of a Kerbal you could continue the "first person view" theme through Bob's capsule exit and trip to the station. Excellent video, by the way. :)
This series youve made with adding a few mods every episode is really cool. I also just think the missions have been really interesting. Doing stuff you normally dont do (like planes)

14:00 Just want to say that the Reliant and Swivel are my go-to engines in career mode due to their high thrust to cost ratio. They can be attached to the bottom of fuel tanks with the octagonal struts
Hey just want to say that I really enjoy your videos, I don't really think there are much other creators making videos of the same quality as yours. Atleast if they are I can't find then. Keep it up !!!👍👍👍
This is waaaay better than ksp2 lol. That free interiors mod is sick, a lot of potential for doing super immersive missions completely in first person.
I would have used two different satellites for the polar orbit, but both in Molniya orbits but one north and one south. That gives you really good coverage of the object most of the time.
Yo Matt - if you're still having issues with your rocket sounds, consider looking into the Rocket Sound Enhancement mod. I've had similar issues when recording KSP videos with mods (waterfall seems to play a part in it, possibly due to a loading error for new launches) but since I've added the replacement sound mod I've not had any engine drop outs! Hope that helps :)
Firstly - Do all three ideas, Duna, Laythe and Eve Secondly - Should be in carrier mode Thirdly - add USi Supplies and USI MKS to add supplies and habitation times for your Kerbals. Love your work regardless mate, cheers
You could try a munar starlink deal. Just a bunch of micro communications satellites on the same orbit so that there's never a coverage blackout. There's probably a mod with small enough relay antennae.
I don't have problems with dead upper stages polluting space. They all have a small antenna and power to work as relais. And all my satellites have docking ports to refuel them, expand them, and perhaps even bring them back, similar to the MEV system.
I would suggest using Near Future Aeronautics to make an SSTO. The mod adds a bunch of engines for spaceplanes! Don't forget to also install the waterfall config.
You know if you built a moon base already, what if you build an Arecibo style radar station on the far side? It would make sense for the Kerbels to build a strong planetary radar before going out to other planets and it would be a thing that uniquely makes sense on the Mun just as fuel infrastructure is especially sensible on minmus.
Mod suggestion: Pathfinder. Portable inflatable habitats that can be carried (albeit clumsily) by kerbals! Based on an old concept NASA had for scouting out a moonbase location I believe. (Don't quote me on that ^^)
I would always include at least one swivel engine in my rockets for the extra control. I'd have the more powerful engines of course, but having even just one swivel made the rocket much more manuverable. At least from what I remember. It has been a long time since I played
If you’re going to go interplanetary, Nertea’s Near Future Launch Vehicles (and the other near future mods) are a must. (Also, for missions deeper into space, CryoEngines with Kerbal Atomics- also by nertea- is really useful.)
