You have omitted distant object enhancement, it's why the stars disappear when looking at a bright surface of the planet, scatterer doesn't do it on its own

Never before has Kerbin felt so much like home. Now we need some hand-crafted infrastructure and biuldings mods so that the planet feels more alive and, well, you can turn KSP into an entire story-driven experience set on Kerbin.
Parallax needs to fix the scale of it's vegetation. 10m+ rockets shouldn't be dwarfed by grass. And we have KSP2 graphics now, but we need some performance mods too. I cba to play half of the time because I don't want to wait 10 minutes for it to load.
Holy heck, that looks gorgeous! My peasant PC kitted out for games from 9 years ago chugs with just 2 of those mods installed, but still- it looks amazing!:)
As a car builder in ksp i once tried to use hyper realistic graphics turning my KSP into Forza Horizon with 10 fps. After a while some graphic mods broke but for anyway that was great experience

The biggest thing KSP needed was a less janky and more consistent physics engine. To what extent KSP2 can deliver on that remains to be seen. Personally, I think KSP2 shot themselves in the foot by planning for so many big features before laying a proper foundation. "KSP but less buggy" would be enough to sell the product. Mods, updates, and expansions can fill in any gaps later.
@@r3dp9 it wasn't that bad when it didn't come to surface interactions. but having conservation of energy, implulse and momentum in the fundamentals of the engine could be great. i don't think there's a good looking game engine that provides that out of the box.
Really wish the source code for the game leaked, so the community could work on patching all the bugs and performance issues so these mods can run perfectly smooth (and the game as a whole) :( what specs are you rocking?
Damn it! The modded ksp with star citizen ost in the background makes me sad 😢! Ksp2 couldve expanded onto become essentially a sandbox version of building star citizen type ships, if only it had not been cancelled! I hope modders make custom VTOL (nuclear) thruster engines paired with RCS so that we can make some spaceships seen in star citizen.
Volumetrics Clouds are actually the latest EVE version. The one from Blackrack's Patreon. Distant Object Enhancement, Waterfall, Restock and some more were also in used in the video.
The fact that it *actually* has Cumulonimbus clouds is crazy, compared to most other games and their mods where even if it's thundering they're nowhere to be seen. There are truly only a few gems like this (If you couldn't tell it's my favorite looking cloud).

KSP frame rate is tied to physics engine. if your FPS drops are tied to big crafts then note that fuel crossfeed seems to be really performance intensive... to solve that I recommend procedural parts.

Is it unrealistic to have such a clear view of the Kerbal galactic plane, whether on Kerbin at night or on the Mun, in orbit, or otherwise? It looks strange seeing it completely disappear in every instance here, since we can see it from our own planet's surface sometimes

you lose 40 fps, so during a mun landing its fine, but during a 250 part lift off your game will chunk a little or freeze up completely if you have a bad pc.
with r5 5500, 32gb 3200mhz and rtx2060s i have low framerate (~20fps) only on kerbin grasslands and ksc, in space always 60+ and on other bodies around 30 to 50 with all mods in the video +opm and their compability with graphics mods
Hi SWDennis, I doubt you will read this message, but I wanted to know what mod you use to make the motor noises, when your rover was driving on the ground.
The last time I tried it (over a year ago) you could choose with or without colision in the mod options. But it was only for rocks on the ground, not for trees and plants.
Kind of depends. Even with colissions on, some trees on Kerbin are without colliders. Also, if the rock density of some moons is too high, you can tune it down in the config. I play with collisions enabled and 30% density values.
Thats very cool, but am I the only one who really wants a mod that turns the re entry plasma into the one that was seen on ITF-3/4? If that exists, whats it called? Because I looked everywhere and all I saw was people asking the same thing

Kerbals are super short like 4 ft or something so the parts they make aren’t that big so natural grass based off of our grass is realistic.

its pretending to have light focusing. The simplest explanation is: You can't see stars during the day.
there was a comment that distant object enhacement mod is required for that, just add it and stars will reappear. didn't check that though
