All good points you made. I am an astro-lanscape, portrait, and travel photographer. And occasionally dabble in the video side. I still think the a7RIII is a BEAST of a camera and provide image quality, lower ISO, and responsiveness that can compete with newer sony cams. I skipped the r7IV and the 7IV because my 7RIII still meets my needs and I don't see the value in upgrading to a newer Sony a7 series. I like it so much, I bought a slightly used 2nd body (a7RIII/A) as a backup.
Hello Stevo. Thanks for the feedback. Always good to hear other content creators opinions on gear! 😉. Yes, the a7r3 is still a beast. Stay tuned. Ciao!
The minute you said, "We are just talking about cameras, not trying to save the world" you had me. Great Content. Just ordered this camera as my first full frame after playing with a bridge camera for a few months. I was originally going to try and get the A7 IV but when I found this for only $1400 in like new condition I determined that it would certainly meet the needs of my fledgling landscape photography aspirations.
Hi Robert. Thanks for the kind words, glad you enjoyed my content. The a7r3 is still my only photocamera and I am not even thinking to change it for now, it is great! And I also use it as second video camera for all my vlogs. Hope you will have fun with it. Stay tuned. Ciao
thank you for the effort and the sharing. and i agree with your thinking. in fact, i just bought the A7R3a. now i need a few weeks to get comfortable with this very capable tool. thumbs up.
Hi there. For portrait photography usually it is good to use an aperture at around F8, so you will not have much depth of field. Hope this helps. Subscribe and join my community. Ciao!
Thanks! Very helpful review. I’m trying to decide between and r2 and and r3. There’s about £700 difference between a used r2 and a new r3. I’m not a sports or wildlife photographer. This will be used as an all purpose camera (travel, and landscape mostly).
Thanks for the message. I used to have the a7r2 too. I cannot remember how many megapixels it had but I think less than the mark iii. It also had some different video settings. But if you don't care about videos, you should be fine with the mark ii. I now travel with the sony fx3 which has 12 mega pixels and all the photos are great. Hope it helps. The Sony A7RIII are a very good Camera, though I have just sold mine because now I only use mine Sony A7RIV and A7RIVA. I can recommend the Sony A7RIII !
No negative comments here, don't worry!!! I really liked your video! I'm not a videographer actually, just a photographer. I own A7 III and I was thinking to upgrade to A7 IV. But...I went to a Sony Day here in Rome for the presentation of the A7 IV. It was almost impossible to get a 7IV so in order to spend some time I got an A7R III with an 85 1.8 (there was a wonderful model and Profoto lights). Wow, I felt in love with it...42 megapixel for portraits? Never tried before and are amazing!!! I'm a cropper...The focus seemed to me on pair of 7III (much less focus point, but equally fast and reliable). Finally I grabbed the A7 IV but after the A7R III in my hands I was almost uninterested to the new "entry level" and now I want to buy an A7R III... Thank you so much for your video!
Ciao Andrea, grazie del commento. It is always good to hear another feedback. I am still in love with my a7r3. Portraits, yes, are great. Iscriviti per nuovi video ogni settimana! Ciao
Cancelled my a7iv order yesterday and ordered the a7riiia while its currently $500 off. I primarily shoot nature and landscape and i wanted the additional resolution that I don't get with my a7iii. Wish they'd have just put all the features of the iv into the riii...minus the 4k 60 crop of course. Would have been thrilled. I feel good about my decision. The iv just seems like too many things fell a little short for me.

A7r3a im getting brand new for $1718 worth it? Was using a7r2 but sold it, good upgrade for sure but should i buy or go with eos r6 or z6ii. Mainly do wedding, events and portraits photography and some video very little
Hello! The quick answer is...if you already own sony lenses, go for the Sony a7r3. It is a beast for photography. Not worth to change system. Consider to subscribe to the channel for more reviews
Just got it on Black Friday 2000.00 US version A. Hope will be this time I will keep sony. Had A7III and sold it despite I had nice photos viewfinder was terrible
Hello Vitor. I hope you will like the a7r3. I still enjoy using it. It is a beast of a photocamera. Consider to subscribe for more videos and join my community here
I currently own a Nikon d750, but I recently seen I could buy the Sony a7r3a for 1,720 brand new! You think that’s the right choice to make even though it’s an older camera? Or should I get a Nikon z6ii? I’m a event photographer, family portraits, and single portraits. Thanks In advance! Love your channel!
Hello Juan, thanks for the comment. I ave to say I never used any of the Nikon cameras you mentioned. One thing I would advice is also to keep in mind the lenses you already have. If you buy Sony you might need to change the whole system. But I had a quick look at the Nikon z6ii and it only has 24.5 Million Pixels, while the Sony a7r3 has 42! I used the a7r3 for any type of photography and you will not be disappointed if you go with it. Do not think about the launch date of a product. If it is a good camera, it will be for a few years. That's why I re-bought mine in 2021.
Hi there. Thanks for the comment. You will not regret the choice for photography work. It is a great camera. Consider to subscribe for more videos. Ciao
Oh I see. I was not aware of the "A" version. It seems to only have an updated LCD screen, if I am not wrong, compared to the a7rIII.. I would honestly go for a good second-hand Sony a7rIII. I bought mine in the U.K. for £1600 and the owner also included a canon lens adapter, a Manfrotto tripod, a pelican case, 5 batteries and a 24-300mm lens. Still a great photocamera. 😉
Excellent review of your tool that you use every day. May I ask how is your intermediate course on video editing in Premiere going? Love your teaching style with humor and detailed exercises!
Thanks a lot. About the intermediate course, is very slow. I am working on a photography course at the moment. I think the Intermediate video editing one will be a bit different anyway and shorter than then Beginners. Stay tuned on my website as they will come out there at www.mamoair.com/courses

Thanks for the suggestion. From my professional experience as video editor, using a track or music for the whole video is going to annoy the viewer, that is why I learned to use a few tracks or smaller parts of a track. But thanks for the comment

I think I am going to do the same. Thought about the a7riv, but the a7riii still looks good and you guys are convincing of that. Thanks!
