The Polonaise in F-sharp minor, Op. 44, is a piece for solo piano written by Frédéric Chopin in 1841. It is often referred to as the "tragic" polonaise, due to its dark nature. The polonaise is dedicated to Princess Ludmilla de Beauveau, a prominent member of the Polish émigré community in Paris.
Despite its title, the polonaise is a composite work in ternary form. The piece opens with a short menacing passage, and soon develops into a dark and often furious polonaise theme. The central section of the piece is a mazurka in A major that provides a romantic contrast. The mazurka soon gives in to darker harmonies and the polonaise returns after two isolated torrents of notes. At length, the reprise seems to lose force and momentum, and Chopin concludes the work with a surprising fortissimo double octave on F#.
The piece is often considered the first of three "grand polonaises", (the other two being the Polonaise Op. 53 'Heroic', and the Polonaise-Fantaisie Op. 61) in which Chopin largely abandoned the old formula derived directly from dance practice. The time had come for polonaises subjected to free fantasy, for more heroic dance poems. In fact, Chopin was known to have said to the publisher, ‘I have a manuscript for your disposal. It is a kind of fantasy in polonaise form. But I call it a Polonaise’

Synthesia makes every piece look easy because we dont see realise how hard it is to press some keys sometimes as it makes everything smaller
I prefer learning from synthesia. Maybe not pieces this hard but smaller slower pieces. It is defininitely more preferable to some ultra small dots on a soundless paper. Plus, you actually know when you play it wrong.

Pero tardarás poco en encontrarte con obras cuya dificultad no sea muy grande y sea imposible de entender por medio de synthesia, ya que la misma solo aporta información absoluta de las notas específicas, además de eso existen ritmos, adornos, marcas de metronomo u otros elementos que son propios del papel. Idealmente, usa métodos híbridos.
@@goktugblackI recommend you change that habit. It’s not a good one. You should learn to stick to reading music. Synthesia only shows the piano roll without volume or tempo markings. It can't show musical notation like trills. Synthesia doesn't teach how to play the piano, how to read music, sitting posture, hand position, or finger/wrist/arm movements. It also doesn't teach how to play musically with phrasing, articulation, dynamics, or rubato. It can be hard to make sense of the bigger shapes like what key it's in, what the harmonic progressions are, what articulations, and it misses speed and dynamic indications.

Let us be honest here, Chopin used the word 'polonaise' just because he did not want to call them 'marches'! (of course, I am joking, I know the characteristics of a polonaise, I just think it is interesting how Chopin makes them very military and march-like)
I think what's more interesting is that he keeps it both a dance and a march at the same time, but that may be what a Polonaise is
