When you started torturing it with the Nurofen cap and a wooden block I almost fainted😄... The back push press witch interchangeable rings can be bought for ten dollars! And I use it A LOT, especially with Timex watches - bought it many years ago, when trying to close the DataLink's case.
Your watch looks exactly like mine. Thank you for your video. I can't believe they use to sell for $300 Canadian. I bought mine used for $60 from a friend. All that was wrong with it was the band was splitting. So, I bought a genuine, hand made leather watch band for $40. Not a bad deal for a total of $100 Canadian. One more thing. I took my watch to a watch specialist that I have known for 25 years now. He confirmed it is a genuine $300 Watch.
Timex aren't made in China, surprisingly. They're made in the Philippines. These Intelligent Quartz chronos come new with a "made in Philippines" sticker on the back.

A little tip as a watchmaker, please put on protective finger cots. You should not touch or pick up a watch movement with your fingers. Kind regards
