My mountain biking watch is a DW5600E same 1545 module... I bought it for $5 in about the same condition as that... I spent maybe $30 for a new OEM bezel and some bull bars and JaysAndKays NATO adapters this watch for $35 has served me quite well for 8~yrs out on the trails .. Mine does have some scratches on the crystal that I'm pretty sure I put their in some mtb incident or other. I really like mine as I kinda rescued it and it is custom~ for less than the price of a new DW5600E. Just last week I did have to buy new $10 NATO adapters cause I broke one of them riding a trail... luckily the other held and I didn't lose my watch, and I had to put a new battery in while I was at it, as mine was still running but if you tried the backlight the screen would blank out temporarily (low batt).

You don't know what nasty is. Thats pristine. You don't even know what ruff is. All that needs is an interior bath and maybe a paint job. That's all. Thats a diamond that needs virtually nothing. I would love to find something that nice.

Can you please give me a watch. i honestly have not budget to buy a watch. i want to wear a watch on my wrist. Please give me watch. I will always support you.

Of course it still works, but at the same time it's not even worth it. By the time you've cleaned it up and bought a new battery and strap, you've pretty much spent more time and money than it's worth over just getting a new one.

Interesting. I noticed the description in the book says "day in English for the morning hours and in Spanish for the afternoon hours." My 7548-700 F (blue dial, 1981) stays in English or Spanish morning and afternoon, unless I manually switch the language from Spanish to English.

Yes they are brilliant watches. I still have my GM 5600B 3er from new, bought it as a spare. Never worn it, modified it with black metal strap components from the States. Should get at least 8 years out of the battery but they are so easy to change.

Tip no tweezers on battery and no fingers only a tip use plastic tweezers to grab the battery if you use steak tweezers you short the battery

Hey I bought one of these from you! The second 700F you showed from March of 1981, I purchased it on Ebay in November of 2022. I thought it looked familiar, sure enough its the same serial number!

In the 90's, I would buy a new G-Shock about every two years and throw the old watch in the trash. Always the black square model. The plastic band would get squeaky and brittle and then break.

I bought a pilot pioneer but I wish Hamilton would have kept the text and the font the same as on the W-10.

A little tip as a watchmaker, please put on protective finger cots. You should not touch or pick up a watch movement with your fingers. Kind regards

Folks who work on the watches they collect will often purchase "related" watches...which is to say models in a given line that share a significant percentage of parts. The 940/946 pairing share about 85% of the parts in common, giving the collector an "edge" should something ontoward happen from an accident or mishap. Hamiltons and Illinois are huge go-to-s for collectors, just like they were for the Railroad industry 100 years ago. Beautiful pieces. Oh......did I mention I have two 940-s? Good thing I don't have a bias, right? 😂😂😂

My DW-5600 has 25 years and counting.

Rule of thumb. When it comes to changing a 3volt lithium battery you never touch the battery with your fingers. It drains the power dramatically. Always use tweezers.

Poor g-shock doesn’t deserve that, I wouldn’t throw it out

You cannot kill a DW G-Shock, it`s as simple as that.

Beautiful, l love the VU meters. I have a SX636, and 1250 (which are now being refurbished for 450 USD/1000USD respectively, but are complete refurbishments). Pioneer were producing these quality receivers, which had so much quality. Forty plus years later they still hold up well.

Have the 780 and I love it. Nice warm sounds, even the Pioneer DX 563 dvd player sounds nice and rounded on it. Much more power for my little bedroom than I need…oh well.

I must confess that i have thrown them in the trash when the battery died! Just went out and got a new one as they USED to be cheap and amazing value for money! Its a timeless classic ,no pun intended! I still have the 5600c and somehow that escaped the rubbish bin ,thankfully-

That car sat outside for much of its time . They just now pushed it inside . I hope you didn’t overpay for what is a parts car .
