- Norfolk Southern Trains On CSX At Railroad Interchange. Train Depot Move Update. Long Trains In Hamilton, Ohio. Check out the Burlington Northern Santa Fe locomotive on a Norfolk Southern Train on CSX tracks! We also have a CSX locomotive leading a Norfolk Southern freight train. These trains are all in Hamilton, Ohio and filmed right after I got home from Florida. I still have a few videos of trains in Florida to post so stand by.
This video starts at the railroad wye in Hamilton, Ohio where the train station used to be. This is all CSX track with a Norfolk Southern train passing by. Look how different it looks without the train station. It is just a vacant gravel lot. We also see the new location of the train station.
Next we see an NS train with a CSX leader going by the new train station location. The station is in the distance but you can see it. Amtrak may use this station some day.
The last train is the CSX geometry train at the Norfolk Southern and CSX interchange. I also put in a shorts of a Norfolk Southern train with a DPU at the interchange. It is exiting CSX tracks and entering Norfolk Southern track on its way to Gest Street Yard in Cincinnati.

It was impressive to see all the freights moving along at almost 20 mph so no blocking Crossings today. I see Norfie was enjoying a new cardboard box showing that the fun toys can be free

I am with you, JT. That first train emptied at least one yard and probably should have had a DPU :) Two cool manifest trains and the bonus of the geometry train - very cool!
I guess that the first train still wasn’t long enough to meet their new rule regarding the use of DPUs?

Thankyou JT for all the local knowledge at Hamilton Ohio, looks like the paper 📃 mill has been abandoned for sometime, like the big crane on tracks down the far end.
The last train was long from when it knocked down the signal at 9'23" to 12'20", interesting at the wye where the signals & tracks split where the station once stood, wondered 🤔 what happens there next hope the old station 🚉 is fully restored 👍, thanks for showing the station shift all those months ago !😄👌👍👨👩👧👦💚🚦

I work in a paper mill but when the paper machines are in place they don't seem so big. Apparently the Chinese have a new mill over a kilometer long and half a kilometer wide but it's so hungry they can't get enough trees to grind into pulp to feed it for very long. It's said if they ran it 24/7 the whole island of New Guinea would be a barren wasteland in 5 years but according to the narrative the Chinese don't make any pollution at all, only the US does. Really surprising how the old depot site looks now. Thanks much for the great update!

Why didn't they return the Wye to its original status? Why? Well, I'll tell you the why about the wye. It was cheaper to put in gravel than a herd of wild buffalo, a pond with tall grasses and ducks, that's why. And, the city planners didn't wanna see buffalo wandering around Hamilton with graffiti painted all over themselves, marching aimlessly through the streets and hanging out at the 7/11. Hamilton prides itself as being a no-nonsence city. They're not just sitting around doin' nothing in the City Planning Room, don't cha know? That's why. Gracias por tu video, Señor Jaws. It was nice to see that all the trains that you caught in Hamilton, Ohio on this day were mixed freight trains. I like to see the variety of freight cars on mixed freight trains. That CSX inspection train did not appear to be inspecting the tracks through Hamilton, Ohio. They were going too fast to be inspecting the tracks and I did not see any lights from the bottom of any of the "passenger" cars shining on the tracks.

NS still refusing to use DPUs in long pulls. All the stress of the weight of the train pulling on the couplers.

I don't think so but in one of my Florida videos I was on a disc golf course. You could see the baskets and I was operating the broom lol

I don't think the railroad has any plans for that small lot. It will most likely stay vacant. It is too small
