The episode reminded me a lot of the movie The Hundred Foot Journey. It’s a film about a family that fled India due to political persecution and moved to France, where they set up a Indian cuisine restaurant a hundred feet across from a well established French restaurant with a Michelin Star. It’s a very touching film and I honestly find it incredibly hard to watch without craving some French or Indian cuisine.
I would have to agree with you there on the moral. It's FAAARR too common to be the "Be yoself, mo matta WHAT!" A dear friend of mine took this to heart and created a habit of wearing an Alice in Wonderland child's Halloween costume with fairy wings... To university classes. The way we described it to her was, "Be yourself in the CONTEXT of where you are."
I think the message should be tweaked as well. Rather than "be yourself" rephrase it to "Don't change just to make someone happy" there's a difference in changing yourself because you think it'll please someone and conforming to society. A good example is in the practice of music. Many criticized the film Amadeus for depicting Mozart as a childish, drunken, and perverse individual but, the reality is that's who he was. His music was deemed to have too many notes, and his behavior was considered low class and rude, and yet later it would be his music that lasted because people remembered it, however if you look at rock music and its history, it's similar but different trends. Instead of conforming to society around it instead music has evolved with our cultures and in turn we evolve around that culture. So while you should never change to please someone who's hurting you like a toxic relationship, or in matters of faith or sometimes even morality you should be willing to adapt, compromise and understand that change is part of life.
You know, your review reminded me of something I thought of while watching this episode: it reminded me of my favorite reality show Bar Rescue, where a savvy business man with literally hundreds of bars under his name helps a failing bar to become successful by fixing its problems, training its staff, and updating its look and brand to fit its market. I don't know, the comment about changing the decor and going with the trends style-wise was rather fitting I thought.
Good review. I'll admit that looking at it a second time I can see what you mean about how there was no real compromise regarding the aesthetic. I think the reason I give it a pass is based on my own bias. To me, the established look was how an Indian restaurant was supposed to look. This colour scheme and design is what makes it feel like a genuinely Indian experience so changing would feel like they were cheapening it. But you are right that on principle it would have been better if they could have found a compromise.
looks grate silver, really enjoyed your pannel today a cmpc and it was neat to see you edit this episode then see it later that same day a real treat keep up the grate work
Haven't found too many reviews who went beyond the Integrity/individuality of the artist is obviously the most important aspect to the moral of this episode. So thank you for going beyond that and talking about the family's struggle!
I know people are going to hate me for saying this but plz stop using the plushie its has funny was when he actually did the animation its just not funny anymore
I think he's doing it this way for now (I emphasize "for now") because some of his subscribers spoke up about the long wait times between when an episode airs and when he gets his After The Fact video up. They expect a review up quickly and his previous way was slower. Now I also prefer his animated ATF but I understand why he's going with Silver Quilted for now. He hasn't finished last season's reviews yet so he's trying to stay up to date for the time being. I won't be surprised if we get an animated After The Fact video for any S5 episodes he didn't get around to when S6 started. I'm just choosing to be patient and taking what I can get as a subscriber.
It's so he can get the videos out in a timely and topical manner. I'm fairly sure Silver has said he'll go back and do them in proper 'After the Fact' videos at some point, these are just so he can get his immediate thoughts out to us quickly. Making a animated short is hard work and takes time. Doing one in less than a week with life taking up a good portion of that time is nearly impossible. So cut him some slack, we'll see more AtF videos soon hopefully.
Thank you for doing a thorough job of not only articulating what was wrong with the presentation of this episode's message, but suggesting constructive ways to improve on it as well.
There's an Indian restaurant in the city where I live. The food is authentic (and HOT) and the decorum conveys a typical "fancy restaurant" atmosphere while still retaining it's cultural identity. I see this tasteful melding of styles as a perfect example of Silver's point.
Nuance is tricky to convey and to grasp, especially in a twenty-two-minute timeframe. Given the episode's presentation, one could read the moral as "If you can't succeed given the current rules, undermine the existing system to your own benefit." Still, I quite enjoyed this one, especially the Bollywood-esque musical number.
Since you brought up the Ghostbusters trailer thing, i have to put my two cents on that. Every artist has a bad day, and will one day make that movie or video, write that book, cook that meal, design that video game, write that song, or paint that picture that the critics will eviscerate, but it's how the artist responds to that bad day that defines them, in the eyes of society. Saffron and her father took Zesty's rejection in stride and tried again, and by doing so got others to realize that Zesty's three hoof rating was just a stamp, and she wasn't the one running their businesses, and if they hated cooking their food her way then they didn't have too. While the trailers for the Ghostbusters movie indicate that it will likely be a bad movie, it's how Paul and Company have responded to that criticism that has cemented the fact that I will not be seeing the movie. When the response to all criticism is stuff like "I hope you all find a friend like my Ben," and to essentially issue an ultimatum to the entire fan base: "see our movie, and love our movie, or you're all sexist," it doesn't make you look like an artist who truly believes they made a great movie, but that spoiled kid on the playground who takes advantage of their parent's money and position to always get what ever they want.
Totally agree with you. Also the fact that a trailer is supposed to be a sample of the movie to entice you to watch the rest, like how chili teriyaki chicken bits given as samples are supposed to let you taste to see if you want to buy the full thing. People who say "didn't taste, can't judge" don't seem to understand advertising.
i particularly liked this (mini-) review, Silver Quill. i dunno, i just think you tackled this really well. though i'm kind of surprised that people dislike Spike episodes _that_ much. i knew you had a few people who complained about them, but i dunno, i actually like them.
I'm so, SO happy to see more Rarity and Pinkie episodes. The only other Rarity/Pinkie-specific episode we got (besides the Gift of the Maud Pie, as you mentioned) was Putting Your Hoof Down, which I absolutely loved the dynamic of Fluttershy, Rarity, and Pinkie together, but it was a Fluttershy episode with Pinkie and Rarity as the supporting characters.
I actually agree totally. I can usually forgive almost anything in this show, but between my own experiences having to learn how to fit in with humanity (having Asperger's is not fun) and watching a lot of restaurant rescue type shows with my sister, this episode had me banging my head against my desk the first time I watched it. The pros outweigh the cons in the end, but it's not my favorite episode for exactly the reasons you pointed out. Funny thing, your review is the only one I've seen to point out that flaw. I've seen other supposed flaws pointed out, most of which I disagree with.
I wish I knew Silver Quill in real life. He speaks with greatness and Wisdom.... I wish he could talk to me and give me therpy because of my daily suicidal thoughts.
Why should they have to change anything? The issue wasn't the looks, wasn't the food, none of that was what was keeping ponies away, it was noting except the lack of a Three Hooves sign in front.
It's the Hundred-Foot Journey! Sort of. The Hundred-Foot Journey is a movie with the same sort of message but more towards what Silver said. It involves an Indian family moving to France to start a new restaurant after the lost of the old restaurant and the mother to a fire. They opened a restaurant 100 feet across from a one star french restaurant and much like how the restaurant in the episode was they're look drew people away, they did get business later but it was the middle son who succeeded the most when he was able to cook at the French restaurant where the style was more appealing and comfortable but it was because of his changes to recipes and his style of cooking that the restaurant was finally able to achieve it's second star after, if I remember correctly, 25 years of trying. Might have been less years but the episode reminds me of this movie.
Oh great. I just KNOW that image of fire coming out of plushie-Silvers arse is going to pop into my head during a test sometime in the next six months.
I really thought their first attempt was going to work until they brought out the food. The original decor is pretty, but terrible for a restaurant. Fabric everywhere is a really bad idea as it gathers dust, absorbs smell until they smell weird and can house insect nests. The new design could have been awesome if they just added their own color to it. Orange walls with colorful paintings, red chair cushions, etc. It would have been the best of both worlds, if they just merged the two and kept the food the way it was meant to be.
Despite the fact that I did enjoy this ep, I was sort of irked that the Tasty Treat didn't compromise with their design and presentation of their restaurant. I mean if you're going to open a restaurant in Canterlot, there's a certain style that is to be expected, like irl when you go to fancy areas in New York or Paris. They didn't need to have a complete overhaul and scrap their identity as a business, but it would have been nice to a combination of Tasty Treat's original design and a contemporary look.
I love Minuette as a new favorite background pony, but I still can't believe she was acting snotty like the all the other ponies with no 'new' taste (at first). I figured she'd be better than that, but I guess the writers already forgot who she was from Amending Fences. Also, I still like this episode regardless, mainly because of more Pinkie and Rarity, and Saffron.
Good review, man. :) Now all that's left to do is the remainder of Season 5's After the Facts! I look forward to your take on Rarity Investigates. Hm, I wonder if you'll end up extracting punishment on the 3 Royal Guards? ;)
Sara Samaletdin In Canterlot, yes; there aren't many. But in Equestria as a whole, there are 4. My point being is I don't see what makes Canterlot or its unicorn populace so special? It's just like Ponyville, only "fancier"
It's the capital city and it's inhabitants are implied to be extremely rich by heritage, like nobility in the real world. That's enough for the city to build an exaggerated ego, even if it's not really deserved. Edit: to sadlobster1. I appear to have clicked the wrong reply button, heh.
Mobius Scribe Honest mistake and you're right, such a prestigious heritage would make them appear classy. But not to the lengths Rarity makes them out to be, right?
Only problem is sometimes it's really obvious something is going to be bad the moment you see it. Like when we saw the first footage from the Jem movie. Oh yeah and when the new Ghostbusters movie trailer came out.
Rarity is actually quite interessting in this episode, i can totaly see her "bow" to the "Rules of Canterlot Society", specialy in a terretory she is not versed in (as Gourment pointet out Raritys expertise is fashion not food). And Rarity want's to be the restaurant to be a success and at the moment that only works with the approval of Gourment, and the only way to get Groumont's approval is to be like every other restaurant. If it weren't for Rarity throwing in her standing in Canterlot Societie, Pinkie could bladder on for all eternety of how good and new the restaurant is, it would be still empty. Rarity has basicly to break the System of Canterlot Society to get a solution. She uses her standing, gaint by her expertise to recommend something she should by Canterlot standart have no saying in. Thats how a lot of High Societies work. You have the "lower" High Societies, that just follow in what ever direction it goes (Uppercrust for example), then you have the once that set the trend's in one area and follow in everything else (hoity Toity, Gourment, and yes Rarity until now) and then there are the upper echelons (Fancy Pants, the Princesses etc.) the one that are so high, that they can set trends in everything if they wish to. A illustral circle that Rarity just startet to join becaus she broke the Canterlot system and succeedet with it (if she faild it could probably have killed her standing for a long time).
One thing I found strange about this episode is the vilification of Zesty Gourmand. It struck me as odd that at the conclusion, she digs in her heels and refuses to join the other ponies in sampling the Tasty Treat's food. This show has a bad habit of redeeming even the most ardent of villains, yet the one that refuses to be swayed by members of the mane 6 is a food critic? Then Silver Quill mentioned the MLP Community, and that got me wondering: what if this is the writing staff projecting their own trouble with critics? Think of all the TV critics who wrote off Friendship Is Magic as "a little girls' show" despite its charm and quality. Those very same people who wouldn't even watch a single episode b/c of the MLP name are the same as Zesty's refusal to enjoy great food, at least, in the writers' minds.
I think it's on stubborn people in whole. I've come across so many bashing something despite not watching, reading or playing it while many others do this before the thing is even out. It's rude and annoying, not to mention hurtful as it makes those that like whatever is being bashed feel ashamed in liking it and in some cases this makes them not reveal they like it for fear of getting treated similarly to how the critic was treating all the ponies. I saw this first hand in high school where many anime fans (and even those that liked just one) were in the closet cause many other students were bashing anime as "a kids thing" despite never watching any of it or even bothering to listen to people like me who tried to explain anime series (like Cowboy Bebop) that are clearly not for kids. This stuff pisses me off big time and I want it to end.
In all honesty, I saw Zesty as another version of Suri Polomare. Although both were different (Zesty being a food critic and Suri being a fashion designer), they both received their just desserts at the end.
Definitely appreciative of your analysis on this one, especially when it comes to compromise and messaging. However, try as your flaming bird horse farts may, you will not sway my love of indian food nor how friggin hungry this episode made me!
I wish silverquil would be animated again because I liked watching that better even though I understand silverquilted is much easier to make videos with.
i have a question silver, can you give me any tips on being a youtuber/reviewer. and what if my parents wont let be do youtube, i mean i know their trying to protect me but i feel like they think i would actually be stupid enough to give out my personal info. im 13 and ready to look into working on what i want to be when i get older. i really like youtube and can see myself doing youtube.
Nice to see a bit of animation in one of your Silver Quilted vids. I still want to ask you one thing: What did you think of the song, It's Gonna Work? You didn't mention it in your analysis.
The ultimate fart joke. I think you are right, the ponies only needed to tone down the look of Tasty Treats. I my hometown we had a French Restaurant open up, but it almost went out of business. Until they came up with a 'kid' room. In the 'kid' room was the same menu but with out wine. So, high school student could take their date, with out breaking the minor law my county had. I think you see where my story is going.
its funny,i just watched this episode today and then my family had Indian food. that aside,i love the new chars, its a great pre father's day episode and shows the battle that can be a father daughter relationship,it isnt always dad's lil princess, she will grow up and have her own views that might rival his but in the end she still loves him and he loves her.
I kinda see zesty in a new light now at first I just thought she was a stereotypical blue collar food critic but she actually represents all those pretencious people that judge things prematurely
I already plan to review it. I got my script done for the review and just need a few days off work in order to record and edit the video. Though It's going to be uploaded on my cartoon watchers channel.
It's so easy for people to judge anything before experiencing it. Whether it's a new restaurant or a movie or even a children's cartoon show. But this episode was more about how people should think for themselves and NOT what's popular to hate or to like. A person can gush over MLP til the end of civilization but, of course, there will be some that will flat out refuse to watch the show based on the assumption that, "That show is for little girls!" or "the fan-base is toxic, that's why I don't watch it!" It's not fair to judge a show because of a fan-base. I like Steven Universe, but I felt HORRIBLE for it after the Zamii incident because of how toxic some "fans" were. Here's a wonderful show about love and understanding, and other great life lessons sewn into it and it just was tainted by some bullies who were happy at the notion of a teenager killing herself because they hated her for drawing a heftier character, thinner. But now with that still in my mind, I STILL watch Steven Universe because it _is_ a good show and so is MLP:FiM. And who cares if it's a little girl show? Fleshed-out archetypes with all relatable personalities, funny and heartwarming moments? Why _wouldn't_ you like this show?
+Ben N (BNuts) But on mobile, it's a distant acquaintance that we hear from every once in a while in the form of people griping at us to use it. (That is, it isn't available on mobile.)
And this, Dear Mister Quill, is why we do NOT order a Phal on our first time to an Indian Resteraunt. We start with the Korma and work our way up from there, usually through Balti and Rogan Josh. There is no shame in sticking to the mild choices as they are still delicious
so what about this funny little "glitch" of the map with twilight + twilight? I like to think of a reverse MLP EQ crossover, but that would mean a lot. So is there anything more realistic? and when r the next episodes supposed to come out?
I don't know what people are talking about when they say stuff is 'too hot' for them, I douse my tacos in hotsauce and sometimes even go out of my way to get extra hot
Can anyone recommend any Indian food that won't, uh, do THAT to my lower intestines? I've only had naan bread (which I LOVED!) and butter chicken over yellow rice, which didn't taste too good for me. I'm up for trying new things, but spicy foods kinda scare me.
I think I saw a new incarnation of Dr Hooves in the background near the beginning of the episode. grey hair, hourglass cutie mark... We might have the Capaldi Doctor
When I first saw this episode, I drew a parallel to How to Succeed at Business Without Really Trying. I posted my theory on this about three days after the episode's release so people won't complain about spoilers. I am just going to copy it from the Facebook group I posted it in to here so none of the text will change.
Ok so it is too big to copy. So I will summarize. Finch from H2$ like Rarity tried with the Tasty Treat to conform to the standard. It gets him very far in that he gets lots of promotions, but everyone is scared he might get them demoted, fired, or sent to Venezuela. Finch realized at the end that he shouldn't rely on the previous underhanded methods like Rarity realized using the methods made before her shouldn't really help. Finch then uses his own personality to get everything back to normal and he is promoted to Chairman of The Board. The Tasty Treat goes back to normal and Canterlot is stronger than ever.
Is Silver saying "Straw Mare" Arguement as a play on a "Straw Man" Argument at 3:40 ? Or am I hearing things (probably a side effect of witnessing Silver's Butt Flames)?
Who else is just waiting for silver quill to animate this but that fire fart though I have to call copyright since I already taught of that before you but ok that’s fine you killed me that was funny
Definitely, but it actually all depends on your taste. The spiciness in any Indian dish varies from region to region. There are also some food that aren't spicy too.
I look forward to your after-the-fact review of rarity investigates, there is one aspect of that episode nobody ever mentions. Sure we know wind Rider is going to be the villain, it's proving it that's the issue. The Phoenix Wright games are good example sometimes you can see who the villain is but you still have to prove it, Plus I never faulted the wonderbolts there being cautious in a very serious accusation and yes leave go with Rainbow Dash before but they've also dealt with with Wind rider.
i've seen people compare Zesty to Anton Ego from Ratatouille but they're different, Anton never shows he's against cooks, he's a harsh critic, but his rating never made people stop eating at Gusteau's and he has his own motto, he doesn't swallow food unless he likes it, he gets given an extremely simple dish while in a very popular and currently high society restaurant, but he sticks to his motto and tries it before saying 'no', Zesty would've said no and left saying it was an insult
It is worth to add that in the end, honesty in his opinion and good food where more important for Anton Ego. Even though he was very biased aginst Gusteaus when he came the second time, he still gave it a try and when it was truly great, he knowingly threw away his reputation to tell everyone how much he loved this food. Zesty on the other hand would never have done this.
I totally agree with Silver. This episode makes critics look really bad without thoroughly exploring why critics can't always be trusted. The critic's flaw was her overly specific tastes and scoring guide with didn't take the food's edibility into account which is odd/wrong for critiquing a restaurant. While a lot of people don't like the sheer number of redemptions that happen in the series, this episode could have been a little better if the critic in question realized her error in not being open to different things. It probably also could have been nice to see another not-well-known critic saying that they liked the Tasty Treat.
Not really, Zesty was in the wrong, entirely because of her rigid way of thinking, some random "Oh suddenly I'm not a total snob because this food is good" would just be to cliched and trite. The "Moral" is spot on "Don't let others tell you what you do or don't like" And it's not 'critics' as a whole, just stuck up snobbish plot-holes like Zesty that are the issue. The details are quite specific.
SILVER QUILL used FLAMETHROWER!!
It was super effective!!!
Audience fainted.....with laughter.
As a Grass type, I find this joke a LITTLE offensive... but VERY funny.
Typhlosion is best starter, you pleb lord.
as a death type I find this really funny XD
Potatoman I_I.... Are... are you some kind of rejected Mega Man boss?
he is silver quilted

Saffron is the best design look pony on the show now IMO.
She's so cute
She a qt3.14

0:06 - I have seen things that cannot be unseen. I might need therapy.

More letal than anyother presented so far....but i like it! Its like a fucking "Metal" flamethrower!
That sounds like a good idea. x-x
Me too
Could have been worse.
He could have eaten at Chipotle Mexican Grill.
After that intro Silver, I am reminded by a song by Johnny Cash...
"And it burns, burns, burns
The ring of fire, the ring of fire"

Er and you too you magnificient winged storyteller :D
I got to see this being edited at the Ponycon! It was awesome!
I wish I knew Silver Quill in real life. He speaks with greatness and Wisdom.... I wish he could talk to me and give me therpy because of my daily suicidal thoughts.

I was reminded of the movie 'The Hundred Foot Journey' with this episode.
does anyone else see a pony version of gorden ramseze
yes everyone see's him it's not a very obscure cameo
i was surprised silver didn't mention him
Emily Holderman maybe he will in his after the fact review
Silver did, but he did not mention Gordon in particular, as there are several chefs in the seats in the restaurant near the end, not just Gordon.
i meant from our world
It's the Hundred-Foot Journey!
0:07 4:45 Hippogriff Flamethrower
I really thought their first attempt was going to work until they brought out the food. The original decor is pretty, but terrible for a restaurant. Fabric everywhere is a really bad idea as it gathers dust, absorbs smell until they smell weird and can house insect nests.
The new design could have been awesome if they just added their own color to it. Orange walls with colorful paintings, red chair cushions, etc. It would have been the best of both worlds, if they just merged the two and kept the food the way it was meant to be.
I don't know what to think. Except that I might need to schedule an appointment with Dr. Wolf.
Ah! We Indians love our spice!
When i hear the next episode is a spike episode, i look upon it with curiosity. Wondering what they'll throw at us.
wait what 😆
"My Little Pony: The Flamethrower - 2.0!"
Anyone else notice the Chef Gordon Ramsay pony at 3:30? Blond slightly messy mane and wearing the chef shirt thing?
the fire is now stuck inside my brain forever...
I had the same experience with Indian/hymalanian food. So I feel you bro
This episode makes me order Indian Food.
Good review, man. :) Now all that's left to do is the remainder of Season 5's After the Facts! I look forward to your take on Rarity Investigates. Hm, I wonder if you'll end up extracting punishment on the 3 Royal Guards? ;)
I blame Canterlot elitism of ponies for the Tasty Treat almost failing; Zesty is just another product of that elitism
What makes the unicorns of Canterlot seem so "superior" anyway?
Their magic and looks are nowhere near as elegant or powerful as the alicorns
But there are barely any alicorns so that is not an issue.
Sara Samaletdin
In Canterlot, yes; there aren't many.
Mobius Scribe
Honest mistake and you're right, such a prestigious heritage would make them appear classy.
As I've commented before, this season is about change
I would say it was a pretty good episode of kitchen nightmares.
Have we had an Applejack/Fluttershy episode yet? I don't recall seeing one...
Silver Quill must have become very strong from having to shake that plush toy throughout every video.
i have a question silver, can you give me any tips on being a youtuber/reviewer. and what if my parents wont let be do youtube, i mean i know their trying to protect me but i feel like they think i would actually be stupid enough to give out my personal info. im 13 and ready to look into working on what i want to be when i get older. i really like youtube and can see myself doing youtube.
same
Nice to see a bit of animation in one of your Silver Quilted vids.
I still want to ask you one thing: What did you think of the song, It's Gonna Work? You didn't mention it in your analysis.
Did you knit your oc your self it looks very well built ❣🍀
Rarity didn't go all out because it's not her own business or her money
The ultimate fart joke. I think you are right, the ponies only needed to tone down the look of Tasty Treats. I my hometown we had a French Restaurant open up, but it almost went out of business. Until they came up with a 'kid' room. In the 'kid' room was the same menu but with out wine. So, high school student could take their date, with out breaking the minor law my county had.
I think you see where my story is going.
WUBALUBADUBDUBS!!! We definitely got the wublins now.
its funny,i just watched this episode today and then my family had Indian food. that aside,i love the new chars, its a great pre father's day episode and shows the battle that can be a father daughter relationship,it isnt always dad's lil princess, she will grow up and have her own views that might rival his but in the end she still loves him and he loves her.
And I thought Firebrand was the hot-tempered one. Ka _BOOM!_
I've only just noticed Gordon Ramspony at 4:07. Totally missed that in the episode
I kinda see zesty in a new light now at first I just thought she was a stereotypical blue collar food critic but she actually represents all those pretencious people that judge things prematurely
Well, I'm off Indian food forever now. Anyone want pizza?
michael gerald
Me or Silver?
+Joe Habana That will be either extremely disgusting, or kinda' good.
I already plan to review it. I got my script done for the review and just need a few days off work in order to record and edit the video. Though It's going to be uploaded on my cartoon watchers channel.
michael gerald
No problem.
This episode instead made me want to try indian food, and Silver's experience did not deter me. ^_^
Are going to bring back After the Fact during the hiatus Silver-Quill?
Dang it Sliver.... it's not only bad enough I still have Manga shaking his rear end in my head.... now you got that in my head, thanks. lop
lol*
The edit button is your friend.
[edited once] Yup
+Ben N (BNuts)
But on mobile, it's a distant acquaintance that we hear from every once in a while in the form of people griping at us to use it.
(That is, it isn't available on mobile.)
Cheetos Hutchens Sure it is
If you click on your comment it's one of the options.
EDIT: I demonstrate thusly.
+Ben N (BNuts) I'm using the tablet, it doesn't have an edit button.
And this, Dear Mister Quill, is why we do NOT order a Phal on our first time to an Indian Resteraunt. We start with the Korma and work our way up from there, usually through Balti and Rogan Josh. There is no shame in sticking to the mild choices as they are still delicious
4:07 crap only NOW did I notice Gordon Rumpsy.
Well… the fire thing…?? Ok. Not that hard to get outta my mind, but still…… WOW.
so what about this funny little "glitch" of the map with twilight + twilight? I like to think of a reverse MLP EQ crossover, but that would mean a lot. So is there anything more realistic? and when r the next episodes supposed to come out?
I don't know what people are talking about when they say stuff is 'too hot' for them, I douse my tacos in hotsauce and sometimes even go out of my way to get extra hot
That episode still makes me want some Tika Chicken Masala and Naan bread. Nom nom nom
Can anyone recommend any Indian food that won't, uh, do THAT to my lower intestines? I've only had naan bread (which I LOVED!) and butter chicken over yellow rice, which didn't taste too good for me. I'm up for trying new things, but spicy foods kinda scare me.
+Philippe Gabriel I figured as much. Well, I suppose I could take baby steps and just work my way up the spice food chain
I think I saw a new incarnation of Dr Hooves in the background near the beginning of the episode. grey hair, hourglass cutie mark... We might have the Capaldi Doctor
Where's the video for Flutter Butter?
What time did you upload this it's like 10:00 pm, I want to sleep but I love your videos. Great review though.
I knew Hippogriffs were a mix of birds and lions. But it seems your butt must be a dragon part
How do you know that's not part of Devil Quill?
A Hippogriff is half griffon half horse.... Or in Silver's case pony.
He also has a Demon Mode. With flames.
I don't go in to Spike episodes biased, because having expectations will leave you overwhelmed or disappointed with what you get
Never noticed Gordon Ramsay among the other clients.
So, have these replaced After The Fact? I'm okay if that's the case, just wondering.
0:07 Great, now I need to see Doctor Wolf!
Who else is just waiting for silver quill to animate this but that fire fart though I have to call copyright since I already taught of that before you but ok that’s fine you killed me that was funny
Getting the jokes out of the way early. Well done.
Is the food worth the fireworks?
Oddly enough, sometimes it is.
Definitely, but it actually all depends on your taste. The spiciness in any Indian dish varies from region to region. There are also some food that aren't spicy too.
20 days later and its still not coming out
I look forward to your after-the-fact review of rarity investigates, there is one aspect of that episode nobody ever mentions.
That's way there should have been another critic to compare with Zesty.
woo Silver, i can smell that all the way here xD totally agree with you though :P does bring back painful memories
hmmmmm i wonder what silver quill would say knowing some plush imposter took his gig. lol
Can you do one on the episode filli vanilla
He already reviewed that episode.
FORGET!!! Why I now have something to scar others with.👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹
So, dose this mean Indian food for Dinner Thursday?
I kind of know what you mean I watch every episode expecting it to be awesome and it usually is
Zesty Gourmand does not like spicy food, and does not eat much. He measures up to neither his first name, nor his last.
2:00 AM I'm questioning my sleeping habits
0:08- I can never see that again
