I enjoy it for the double meaning. Sure he might be upset with Silver, but Dr. Wolf is a peacemonger. So he's conflicted because while he believes Silver should get some comeuppance for 'Let it Go' he doesn't approve of the angry mob.
Well, personally, I think the tree sent Pinkie and Rainbow, because they are the element of Laughter and Loyalty. I think that's what the Griffins needed, the ability to laugh and being able to be loyal. There is a no singing sign and that one griffin left Rainbow when she had no more bits.

Even if not everyone loved this episode, I enjoyed the look into griffon society and history. The simple idea of giving them a Central Asian/Scythian 'style' works magnificently. And I was delighted to see the Arimaspi. I used to be a big Classical Mythology and still am a big monster fan, but even I thought that was a rare reference. Maybe they can work a Grootslang or Mo'o in before the end.

Hahahah stealing! Because "friendship" is thievery! While you're at it Silver Quill, steal Twilight's new castle before Spike eats it. The episode was pretty good and now I'm curious about good vs bad character redemption. I mean as far as Trixie, Discord, and Gilda go I felt Gilda's was executed a lot better because on her part as well as Pinkie and Rainbow Dash's part in forgiveness. Gilda now has a chance to spread friendship through her home and sure it won't be fixed in a day but the point is to take the initiative for a better future for Griffonstone.
Redcord CHN I think Gilda's redemption worked because we saw her state of mind and emotions a lot more. If we're just looking at 'Keep Calm and Flutter On,' then Discord's redemption is too fast to be believable, which is part of why his part in 'Twilight's Kingdom' makes it more so -- even though I still don't believe Discord would have trusted Tirek. Both of Trixie's Heel-Face Turns were magic-induced, so it probably feels like she didn't earn it to most people, not that she earned Ponyville's ire the first time because she was just putting on a show. Trixie was massively mistreated as a character by the show. And she's not the only one, because there's also Lightning Dust, who got put on a bus at the end of 'Wonderbolts Academy' without any apparent hope for redemption. How little did I like that? I turned 'Wonderbolts Academy' into four chapters to show much much I didn't like that. I believe a good redemption takes time, and that the process should give us a window into the character's mind and state of emotions before, during, and after the process so we can empathize more fully. We should be able to see the character slowly coming around and being redeemed, and forgiven, and _accepting_ that forgiveness. I think that it's important that characters who get redemption arcs be shown like this. And we got that, at least in part, with Discord, Gilda, and Sunset Shimmer.

I like to think that instead of MAKING them good, it's just separating the good from evil. In many cases, it is an evil that TAKES OVER the character, the evil sort of being a character within itself (ie. Nightmare moon is a separate character from Princess Luna). Either way, I'd be honored if you commented to this, or even said something about this view (even if you don't share it) in another video! Thank you!
I like the backstory for the Griffonstone. The idea of several petty kingdoms (the backstory showed several fighting griffons with crowns, I dare you to tell me that's not implied) united under a single ruler mirrors real life, namely my own homeland, Norway
To be honest, the monster being dead is not much of a surprise due to the fact it fell in that windy casusm generations ago with no food or water. More than likely starved to death before of old age. As for Rainbow Dash, I feel like the map/tree sent her to not only rekindle a friendship, but help being the one to bring friendship. As shown in further episodes that the main cast has often done what they thought they had to do but now why the map sent them? Uh, this became kinda hard to explain.
Silver if you saw how dorky I get with Pokemon or sailor moon you would be vary surprised that I can't remember my homework(my school gives every body even the high school kids 1 page) yet I can name almost every Pokemon off the top of my head and every character on sailor moon (btw I love how much of a jerk you are to the characters it's funny your vary funny to)
Y'know there's something that's always bothered me. Twilight is very excited at the mention of Griffonstone and would've liked to go but she didn't because the map didn't include her. But why? If she wanted to go, there was nothing stopping her from going as a tourist. She didn't have to get involved in the mission and could've explored the town or surrounding area. Just something that bothered me.
About the theory Silver Quill has about the tree knowing the future-well, I have another. What if Celestia was controlling the tree, or the map? where they go? Since she is the main ruler of equestria, it would make sense if she knew about almost everything that was going on. Also celestia has known the mane six for quite a long time, so she would know what they are good at, strategies for solving a problem, etcetc. She also has proven she can indeed predict the future before-like in season one. It may have been a coincidence, but I do not think celestia just put twilight in ponyville just to check for the summer sun celebration and had her run into any pony to become the other five elements of harmony. It wouldn't be hard for celestia to do all of this, and since she is an alicorn she has a lot of magic. This is only a theory, but I think it is a good one.

The thing I like about you, Silver Quill, is that you're satirical AND informative, that you are able give information in your reviews while being able to mix comedy in well. I'm not saying that other reviewers can't do that, but you have that spark.
I am just a tiny bit saddened that you didn't note the lovely connections between this episode and the griffon book for Ponyfinder that you're proudly displayed in. The huge variety of griffon types was something we had for quite some time, and it was quite a giggle to see MLP follow after us. Good video beside this tiny niggle.
David Silver Sorry, but I was pushing the time limit as it was. My video is almost as long as the episode itself! I did notice the similarities but Ponyfinder presents a more unified griffon culture than in this episode, with a good deal more enlightened species. :)

Honestly I think the map sent Pinkie and Rainbow to Griffinstone because that place was lacking from their two elements specifically. Yes, Generosity and Kindness were also lacking, but the lack of Generosity stemmed from a lack of Loyalty, and a lack of Kindness was from a lack of Laughter, or joy. When everyone else is a pain in the rump, you kick their butt right back. And for Honesty and Magic, all of the griffins were brutilly honest, to the point that Pink-feather (I don't think she ever got a name but she was the one Silver tranquilized) SAID she ditched RD cause she had no more bits. No lies there. And Griffins either have magic in their wings that make them able to fly faster and farther (It would make sense to me for all creatures to be magic, Yaks with magical extra leg power and skull strength and griffins with extra speed because of ther huge wings) or no natural magic, which doesn't really matter. So I can see why the map sent Pinkie and RD and not Twilight.

I have a theory that while Discord is basically the God of Chaos he wanted the world to grow together. That's why he had the Aramaspe eye in the end. He found out that it had destroyed Griffin Stone and he took it out with chaos but it fell down the hole and even he couldn't get it out.

About the theory Silver Quill has about the tree knowing the future-well, I have another.
What if Celestia was controlling the tree, or the map? where they go? Since she is the main ruler of equestria, it would make sense if she knew about almost everything that was going on. Also celestia has known the mane six for quite a long time, so she would know what they are good at, strategies for solving a problem, etcetc. She also has proven she can indeed predict the future before-like in season one. It may have been a coincidence, but I do not think celestia just put twilight in ponyville just to check for the summer sun celebration and had her run into any pony to become the other five elements of harmony.
It wouldn't be hard for celestia to do all of this, and since she is an alicorn she has a lot of magic.
This is only a theory, but I think it is a good one.

The thing I like about you, Silver Quill, is that you're satirical AND informative, that you are able give information in your reviews while being able to mix comedy in well. I'm not saying that other reviewers can't do that, but you have that spark.
I am just a tiny bit saddened that you didn't note the lovely connections between this episode and the griffon book for Ponyfinder that you're proudly displayed in. The huge variety of griffon types was something we had for quite some time, and it was quite a giggle to see MLP follow after us.
Good video beside this tiny niggle.

I did notice the similarities but Ponyfinder presents a more unified griffon culture than in this episode, with a good deal more enlightened species. :)

Honestly I think the map sent Pinkie and Rainbow to Griffinstone because that place was lacking from their two elements specifically. Yes, Generosity and Kindness were also lacking, but the lack of Generosity stemmed from a lack of Loyalty, and a lack of Kindness was from a lack of Laughter, or joy. When everyone else is a pain in the rump, you kick their butt right back. And for Honesty and Magic, all of the griffins were brutilly honest, to the point that Pink-feather (I don't think she ever got a name but she was the one Silver tranquilized) SAID she ditched RD cause she had no more bits. No lies there. And Griffins either have magic in their wings that make them able to fly faster and farther (It would make sense to me for all creatures to be magic, Yaks with magical extra leg power and skull strength and griffins with extra speed because of ther huge wings) or no natural magic, which doesn't really matter. So I can see why the map sent Pinkie and RD and not Twilight.

I have a theory that while Discord is basically the God of Chaos he wanted the world to grow together. That's why he had the Aramaspe eye in the end. He found out that it had destroyed Griffin Stone and he took it out with chaos but it fell down the hole and even he couldn't get it out.

Screaming is annoying, but, a bit overplayed. Try droning it. No emotion. No tune, just imagine it the way Ben Stein would do it. Completely blank voice, like Maud Pie in slow motion. Trust me; quieter than screaming ,but the results are satisfying.
