Saddle Row Review is a special episode for me. It was the last episode to air while I was 19, and thus the last episode I watched before entering the cruelest phase of life: adulthood!! Also, that episode is the first episode I felt compelled to re-watch since Brotherhooves Social, thus bringing the grand total up to about 15.
I hadn't thought of it before, but yeah, it is odd that Spike was absent from Saddle Row Review. It could easily be that he had duties at the castle to attend to (or maybe he was petsitting again while the ponies were in Manehattan), but it does seem like he would want to be there to help.
I found her brother a bit frustrating at first but realized it was just the message I needed. I don't live with my mom but I have been in a rut lately and taking my mother's concern and help for granted somewhat. Seeing this moral put to me in a way that was relatable but also over the top helped me. If he can bounce back then so can I! :) Also the humor in this was nice. Though I do think they went a little to far with how he destroyed his parents, and didn't even seem to care about it...
I AM SO GLAD I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE UPSET ABOUT SPIKE NOT BEING IN "SADDLE ROW REVIEW." Also, I was very happy to see Shy's characterization in "Flutter Brutter," as well! It was a good episode for Shy!
For me, A Hearths Warming Eve was an OMG episode :D The visuals, animation, songs and acting were all just spectacular. You make a very good point of how the story was weakened as it didn't explain the importance of balance in life. But for the run time given, and fitting 5 amazing songs in, MLP did an amazing job nevertheless!
What I didn't like about it was the future. It was basically "Windigos are real, deal with it". In the original, Scrooge is brought face-to-face with his own mortality - that he can't take his wealth with him -, and the preventable tragedy of Tiny Tim. While Snowfall Frost was shown that for all her "good" intentions her actions would cause pain and misery for future Equestria, it could've been done in a less extreme fashion. Luna's song was a perfect contrast to Pinkie's, though.
And this matter how? Each one was based on the story itself, and the Windigoes make more sense for this story, so what is the issue? It's Snowfall realizing how actions she thinks will help ponies, can end up dooming them, as well as realizing, they weren't stories, Friendship really is magic in and of itself and not some silly tale to be scoffed at.
Because it invokes the supernatural where it wouldn't have had to. Yes, I know the supernatural does exist in Equestria and age-old myths tend to turn out to be true - with the Mare in the Moon as the best example. But in this case, I think it would've made a more meaningful impact if they had shown how the lack of love would turn pony against pony - like how in Magical Mystery Cure all ponies turned grumpy without Pinkie. But maybe I'm biased against Deus Ex Machina by my burning hatrad against Chick Tracts.
Smilley MLK Except nothing in there WAS a "Deus ex Machina" And... the whole thing is about ghosts taking Him/her through time. It's pretty supernatural from the start. And yes, this IS Equestria, the story should fit the setting, which this does beautifully. "Ponies squabbling a lot" "The end of Equestria due to Windigoes being that litterly feed off of and create hatred and fighting among ponies." Pretty clear which is the more powerful point of the two.
Flutter Brutter was probably my favorite episode in the whole show. I'm actually surprised by how many people dislike Zephyr. Sure he's got a big ego, but I think he struggles with something a lot of people my age struggle with; not knowing what is in store for the future and being too scared to put yourself out there in case you screw up. I guess another reason that I like his character is that he reminds me of a family member of mine. Heck, it was pretty startling every time Zephyr was called "Zeph" since it sounds like "Jeff", the name of my smart and talented (arrogant and selfish) cousin. So while I identified with Zephyr's struggle, I also identified with Fluttershy. Sometimes your family can behave obnoxiously, but you don't want them to fail. You know they've got good in them and you want them to just get up and try. So maybe this episode is my favorite because it feels so personal. I also really enjoyed the humor though, and thought it had the perfect moral for college aged viewers.
Hi Silver!! Thanks for making these videos. They have helped me keep my sanity as my little one is in her pony phase. Thanks for keeping your show kid friendly as I think she is your youngest fan. I was recently watching the new episode of Ponies with Pockets and I noticed that you had a cameo. Around the 10:30 mark. I thought it was so cool to see you in something else other than reviews. Keep being awesome Silver!!!
So your "little one" is in Hasbro's target age range? I have always wondered how young kids view this show. Does she understand many of the storylines and morals or does she mainly enjoy the pretty colors and characters?
+Willow Moonriser I can't say for sure if she understands the morals, but she loves the visual aspects of the show. She is barely considered a toddler.
HWT- Simply EPIC all around. Just everything you mentioned and more. The looks, the songs, the background gags, all of it! Don't see the issue with "group think" the cases of why they were acting the way they were were very clear and the reasons plainly not just a case of "Conform.. CONFORM!" And I'd hardly call Spike and Twilight "Horrified" as much as simply shocked. And in the end, Twilight did simply thank Starlight for letting her read her the story, and not even try to convince her to join the party. Leaving it entirely up to Starlight if she wanted to go or not. Saddle Row Review- Agree, just, on all of it. Though interesting bringing up Testing Testing, and I see your point, but never thought of that.. normally see people bringing up that the moral is a different take on Castle Sweet Castle instead. Applejack- Again agree. Though not with the comparison at the end, that... was not at all what Newbie Dash was about, at no point was it ever made out that what the Bolt's were doing was wrong.. and it wasn't really.. or that they did this "Just because" versus for actual, still valid reasons. So yeah not seeing it in the least. Flutter Brutter- And once again.. agree. It really would have helped to see some hints of Zephyr not being nothing but a lazy, useless, asshole before the end. But it does not matter overall compared to just how, purely, AWESOME Fluttershy was in this one.
TBH, the only real problem with Flutter Brutter is NOT that Zephyr doesn't have a moment to show off his potential before we see that he's full of fear, it's actually that you have to relate to Zephyr in order to understand it, and though later views can grant you more clarity and sympathy from outside the veil of being in a similar situation as him and not as compared to an episode like Newbie Dash which failed because you NEEDED to have a certain understanding to even come close to seeing it as being something worth watching (a mindset that, mind you, the TARGET AUDIENCE would not have,) it still doesn't mean it's done well, even though I love Zephyr and his character just because he's relatable to a lot of people in this day and age.
Uh... Silver, did we watch the same Flutter Brutter? Zephyr Breezr was *constantly* punished for acting like a douche. As soon as he started depending on Fluttershy, she really got on his case. He got fired from Rarity's on record time, he got scolded for making Spike do his job for him, and he got shot with *lightning* by Rainbow Dash. Not to mention his little stint as George, dork of the jungle. Karma was constant and swift throughout the whole thing.
I know! I tried to watch it again so I could see if it had any more potential on a return trip, but I had to stop halfway through because I almost fell asleep!
Hey a lightning round was a great way to catch up on season 6, and nice reviews! x3 Flutter brutter was a bit painful watching zephyr, but had a fantastic moral. ^^
This episode shows perfectly why I love you. You take so muck care and pour in so much effort. It really shows! The negative is that you can't produce episodes so rapidfire like for example KP. I hope an After the fact awaits us. Have a wonderful time my favorite Hypogryph. Kisses Shaker
Oh good, I was wondering when you were finally going to talk about these episodes! XD Good thinking on summing them all up in one vid. I too hope Zephyr makes a return (maybe he can get a job as a spa pony? They do do mane-jobs there; remember Twilight's "mane blowout" in "Castle Sweet Castle"?), and that he has an episode where he interacts with Shining Armor and Big Mac. :D
You actually brought this in just when I was starting to wonder where you've been all this time. Love the Lightning round idea. Maybe you do this some more often, just so you can find some more enjoyment in our every day life. I'm not saying anything bad about your everyday life - or that I want to see less of you - I'm just making a compliment on how much I enjoyed this new idea of yours - which is probably why you're my favorite Brony Analyst/Reviewer.
2 things I want to bring up here. A: Luna's song in A Hearths Warming Tail was awesome, and B: as much as I hate Zepher Breeze I can't help but keep rewatching Flutter Brutter. I was curious about this until I realized why on the 5th time. Fluttershy has been such a subdued character from the beginning but I don't blame her for it. Shy is a part of her name after all. The reason I like this episode so much is because we finally got to see ALOT more characterization out of her rather than her being her usual shy self. Like Silver says in the video she has several new traits showing on herself in one episode than we have in several seasons. Yea in the past she has taken steps towards more characterization but in this episode we see the flood gates open.
I really liked how Applejack went off her usual character of strong and steady. It's always fun to see characters step out of their comfort zone, or in this case, simply be on the wrong trail thinking it's the right. It's always good to get a little DISCORD into the situation muahahahaha end my suffering
I think Dr. Wolf made a good point in his review of Applejack's Day off, Applejack really is the only member of the Mane 6 that can be both the teacher and student of the same moral, everyone else can be a teacher and a student at the same time, but never of the same moral
yo I'm gonna be cosplay in tomorrow as a human princess luna from mlp fim, the best princess ever. and I need your input on something. do you think I should on Monday cosplay as Mable pines from gravity falls, or keep up the luna video logs. please let me know ASAP. thanks
I'm not great at cosplay. I've seen folks change their costumes day by day, which seems to add some diversity and energy. Plus, if this is a non-brony convention then the diversity will help connect with other groups.
There's something I think you should watch: SAO Abridged, Episode 4. Replace Silica with Fluttershy, and Kirito with some new character (probably someone fearless and violent to contrast for Fluttershy), make the story about her and this other pony going into the Everfree to save Angel Bunny from getting eaten, and you've got a great episode for Fluttershy where she's her best with other ponies. Also, you should watch SAO Abridged because it's FREAKING HILARIOUS!
There's something else, Twilight's story basically enforces the fact that if Starlight doesn't celebrate the holiday, her mood and her beliefs could infect others to do the same, and then all of the country would be under siege by Windigos. Kinda like how a good number of our neighbors just stopped putting out decorations and lights just to save on presents, or not coming to church that day solely to sleep in.
"A whole other 13 episode set ..." Actually, we've got a 14 episode set awaiting us (probably in the fall)! They left it off one episode away from the halfway mark for some reason.
Surprised there was no quick mention about the Pinkie Pie Clone. A love the humor and callbacks in the show, but this is the second time I nearly snorted a carbonated beverage over my computer (First being "APPLEJACK CRIES ON THE INSIDE!")
I can relate to AJ's day off: my father cannot sit still for five minutes if he knows there is still something to do somewhere and one of my friends seems to do nearly everything in the least efficient order or way possible.
how long will the break be, I'm going to have a major show hole with nothing to watch after I finish season 2 of Daredevil and MLP first half, oh wait Wayward Pines it is then
I actually recently said to a friend of mine that, in regards to the show's quality: Has the animation improved? Drastically. Has the voice work improved? Probably, but I'm not able to speak on that well. Has the sound and music improved? Maybe? It's likely though I haven't compared older seasons to now. Has the writing improved? Highly debatable. Personally, I still think that the first season had a lot less to criticize about it, if for nothing else than we were learning the characters and they could get away with more, but I've been growing quite cynical as of late.
Don't you mean 14 episodes after the break, since it's only episode 12 of 26 left to air before the break? Or are you just counting 25 & 26 together because of course they'll be another 2-parter? (Or have I literally forgot to tally an episode and it's been 13 instead of 12 so far?)
Apple Jacks day off: I feel like when Granny Smith is not there Apple Jack tends to take on the "we follow the traditional route" and random craziness. Apple Jack is either much more like Granny Smith than we are aware, or the writers are forgetting they have a character that is that traditional and cooky
No mention of the Link/Epona/Legend of Zelda reference in Flutter Brutter? That one made me scream! How could you not have at least nodded to the reference!?
Silver, you aren't the only one who fell behind. I just marathoned the last six episodes, including today's. *Hearth's Warming Tail* - It's another musical. It's okay, but I find it weird that this was tale of someone who hated the holiday, being told to someone who is merely indifferent. It's like trying to force-feed your favorite food to a man who just filled up on lunch and couldn't eat another bite. There's no sense in sledgehammering the holiday spirit into Starlight; just help her get caught in it a little, and the holiday should do the rest. *Saddle Row* - Definitely one of the better episodes. Though, I don't think the spoon clothing thing was ever meant to grab in the first place. Despite how into it Applejack was, it was not a good idea. It was only meant to serve the point that any idea can be useful, depending on its utilization. *Applejack's "Day" Off* - Chicken Applejack? Really? Just...cluck while you're a head, Silver...That made more sense in my head. Anyway, I agree; it's weird that someone as practical as Applejack would suddenly go to such convoluted measures, especially since she was the one who brought the point forward. The issue is doubled when you realize how Applejack arrived at the cause of the spa's problem, because it was a solid showing of logical reasoning on her part, as it shows she can look at things from a very objective standpoint. *Flutter Brutter* - Is it odd that I found myself making a comparison between myself and Zephyr Breeze in terms of circumstances? I'm stuck living with my parents, and the common belief may parents share is that I am unmotivated, much like how Zephyr was. Yet, I can't equate myself to him in that regard, because there have been times were I've found myself face-to-face with something that cowed me, only for me to push myself enough to move past it and try regardless. And it ranges from simply ducking myself completely into a salt water river, to jumping from top of a set stairs straight down to the bottom (it's more dangerous than you might think; I have a scar to prove it), to, like Zephyr, trying something new. I'm not sure if this is really comment section worthy, but it's something that crept up in my mind as I watched the episode. All the same, though, I did enjoy the episode.
I really don't like Fluttershy's brother but I do like what he brings out in Fluttershy. I still think the episodes message would have been stronger if he'd failed though. I just feel like it would've made that message stronger because to me the episode was more about trying than success.
I loved all of these episodes except for Applejack's Day Off which is a real shame; I like her character but she seems to get hit with the stupid stick or crazy stick a lot whenever a episode focuses on her. The best AJ episode that she's ever had was The Mane Attraction; that episode was an awesome Applejack episode. I actually liked Flutter Brutter right from the get go which is odd for me since Fluttershy is my least favorite of the mane six (Don't hate me please!) Fluttershy was at her absolute best, Zephyr wasn't suppose to be a pony that you liked; although him flirting with Rainbow and Rainbow's reactions to that was hilarious! XD. (At least to me, and therefore was a nice revenge when Rainbow hit him with a storm cloud, shame that we didn't see her do that). The rest of the episodes that you mentioned I really liked/enjoyed/loved. XD.
Well, I actually didn't like both Newbie Dash and Applejack's Day Off, and The Last Roundup will always be my favorite Applejack episode, but otherwise I agree on all points! I had high expectations for Flutter Brutter and it exceeded them. It was nice to see Fluttershy show some true growth after 6 seasons of learning about believing in herself and speaking up (in the RIGHT way, Iron Will!). She has always been my favorite pony, but it was a bit disappointing that in one episode she'd gain great self-confidence and in the next she'd be scared of her own shadow again :P This time, she got to pass on what she learned to her brother who had his own issues with self-confidence. That right there shows great character development.
NOTE: You don't need to read this whole comment. I just did it because I wanted to say what I think. No matter how little I have to say. My thoughts on these episodes: 'A Hearths Warming Tale' OMG ASPHJFHFURH... I mainly loved it as much as I do because it's a Christmas episode and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE CHRISTMAS. But even if it's mainly because it's a Christmas episode, that doesn't change the fact that I really enjoyed it. Also I LOVED the songs. Also the jokes. (I did a review sort of on it, but it was terrible.) 'The Saddle Row Review' I really enjoyed this episode. At first I wasn't as big a fan of it. But after watching it the second time, I really enjoyed it. I liked the framing device. And also the interviews with the characters were really funny. Though the bit where AJ and Rainbow critisized Twilight's sweeping song thing, and then showed them doing it as well kind of confused me... But that might just be because I'm dumb and not a problem with the episode. 'Applejack's "Day" Off' This was a fun episode. It's not got much to it, and there are many better episodes. But I found it very entertaining. I liked the mission impossible reference. But I feel like AJ should have noticed at least some of the flaws in her work. Especially with the feeding the pigs. But idk. Also AJ enjoying the spa and Rarity and AJ going to the spa together often came completely out of nowhere. I guess it's nice for AJ to get an interest that you wouldn't assume she had, and an interest that she shared with Rarity. But it still feels a bit too out of the blue for me to like completely. In my initial viewing, I thought Applejack was actually avoiding going to the spa with Raritty. But nope. I still enjoyed it though. 'Flutter Brutter' I really like this episode. I'm glad they actually showed Fluttershy's family rather than leaving them unknown forever. But the family name confuses me... Since her parents are 'Mr & Mrs Shy', that means that 'Shy' is their Surname. But that confuses me because Fluttershy isn't called Flutter Shy, she's called Fluttershy. So, what, is her name Fluttershy Shy?? I know it doesn't matter, but it still annoys me. Anyway. I really enjoyed how Fluttershy and Zephyr Breeze interacted. It was nice seeing Fluttershy being the assertive one. (Sorry about not having much to say about that, but I'm not very good at going into depth with stuff.) Also I liked how Zephyr had a crush on Rainbow. I don't ship them. But I think it was funny. Also I like how they made another character that had an interest in love. Even if they're not very nice... Also. Zephyr strangely reminds me of Kuzco from 'The Emporer's New Groove'. Of course they are quite different in a lot of ways, but something about him reminds me of Kuzco... Especially (for some reason) the scene where he's crying and preparing to leave. Specifically the close up on him crying. IDK why though (mostly.)
My favorite part of A Hearth's Warming Tale was Luna's song My favorite part of Saddle Row Review was Pinkie's shoulder angels The only part that got my attention of AppleJack's Day Off was Raritys face at the beginning 0_0 Flutter Brutter had a Link cameo, so...... thats something
Ahh Fluttershy's brother. Gave me the vibe of Eddie Murphy meets Emperor Kuzco from Emperor's New Groove, ie. Extremely Annoying almost at kill-it-with-fire levels.
another nice video overall! though i don't really understand people's gripe with Applejack's "Day" Off, a lot of people seemed bored by it, but i don't know, i actually liked it for the most part. wasn't perfect, but overall i liked it.
I don't think so, but there might be. I know that they might be working on the MLP movie for 2017, but I dunno about an EQG movie coming out this year.
I heard it's about how Sunset Shimmer is homesick, and will take its cue from the elements that were cut from _Friendship Games_, like SciTwi's I Want song originally being a duet with Sunset.
Saddle Row and Flutter Brutter were highly enjoyable for me; Hearths Warming Eve and Applejack's Day Off less so. Quick reasons why. Applejack's episode felt boring and while it had some moments of comedy, the majority of it dragged. HWE suffered from the number of songs, particularly the first song and ending song, as it cut down on the time for character development. There was also no establishment of character or relationships inside the episode itself. MLP relied on other adaptions of A Christmas Carol to do it for them. Take Scrooge's (I'm calling them by Dickensian names) relationship with the Hearthswarming Eve itself. All we see of her opinions is that she doesn't like the bells and she doesn't want to take a break. She even offers the day off to Cratchet. The original had Scrooge interact with a variety of people and showed a variety of relationships to help flesh out his dislike for the season. MLP at best expressed a mild dislike, which made her transformation into the Grinch very jarring
I'm glad to see from silver in general but I miss your regular reviews. I miss the full heart of what your videos did to originally attract me, along with what you still do, but I miss the comedy. I still love your channel Silver but I cant wait for a review like the old ones.
I enjoyed Flutter Brutter, specialy for the showing of FS's development. It is kind of "Wonderbolts Academy" for RD, you see much better how much a character has changed if set beside his "older selfe". In this case her parents. Zephyr is a classical example of a "superiorety complex comming from a infiriority complex" and i don't think he was ment to be likebeal at this moment and he works fine for a foil for flutters, specialy becaus it is her brother, because that gives her a reason to actually confront him and not to shy away as she usually would.
Snowfall Frost might've had a "noble" goal. But it clouded her focus to a more balanced life. It's like families who force their children into studying all the time and shunning any moments of recreation. Sure, all that hard work and learning COULD provide a possible great future for you. But unless you balance it with fun, family and recreation. Instead of bettering the world, it would tarnish it
Well, he watches Dragon Ball Z Abridged, another popular web-series, so it makes sense. I'd prefer if he did Red vs. Blue, and did an episode for each of the Reds and Blues and how much they've developed over the past 14 seasons like he does with the ponies.
I loved all the humor this season, especially Twilight's sweep remix, the interviews, and Zephyr trying to hit on "Rainbows"

Applejack's "Day" Off...
More like "Writers' Day Off"
Seriously though, this episode lacked any substance to keep me engaged, IMO
I know! I tried to watch it again so I could see if it had any more potential on a return trip, but I had to stop halfway through because I almost fell asleep!
+Object Chaos Oh, well I didnt hear word of it
but the moral was good though.
+weegeeslayer123
Me too. For me it was shinning armor all over again
Worst episode since The Mysterious Mare Do Well.
Hey a lightning round was a great way to catch up on season 6, and nice reviews! x3
Flutter brutter was a bit painful watching zephyr, but had a fantastic moral.
Wow, you did this one very fast with these four episodes. Nice work
the techno chicken returns in the form of apple chicken
The Saddle Row is the funniest episode.
I'm not taking that back.
I loved the Christmas carol episode. I think it will be one of my top favorites.
Gauntlet of fire is still my all time favorite as of season six
Flutter Brutter has become my favorite Fluttershy episode, we really get to see her using what she's learned in past episodes.
Well congrats Silver Quill. I didn't think anything else could make me want to punch Zephyr Breeze.....yet you found a way.
Nice to see some new videos, good to know you hadn't dropped off the face of the Earth, Silver.
why one more episode, arent there 13 episode now and 13 episodes in oktober or november?
I was excited to see what you thought of rainbowdash and zephyr! Sweetie belle: "Oh COME ON!"
Great lightning round Silver ^^
I can't believe I spent a whole 10 minutes looking for an episode of mlp called "Lightning round"!
That would actually be an interesting title if they ever decide to bring back Lightning Dust
Thank you silver, I was worried you'd simply skip them because you were busy those weeks.
I really liked how Applejack went off her usual character of strong and steady. It's always fun to see characters step out of their comfort zone, or in this case, simply be on the wrong trail thinking it's the right. It's always good to get a little DISCORD into the situation muahahahaha
end my suffering
And I had the EXACT same reaction to Flutter Brutter
Flutter Brutter shows the best of fluttershy and that is why i love her so much and why she is my fav pony and why i think she is the best pony.
The biggest complaint that I have about "flutter brutter" is we didn't get to see RD blast Zepher. Man, I was waiting to see that.
Now we just need discord`s family
Apple Jacks day off all a lot of the humor it would normally show in an Apple Jack episode.
I think Dr. Wolf made a good point in his review of Applejack's Day off, Applejack really is the only member of the Mane 6 that can be both the teacher and student of the same moral, everyone else can be a teacher and a student at the same time, but never of the same moral
Con Crud, it can happen even to the best of plush toys.
new SQ? yay! seriously, if we had not gotten news from you by the next episode silver I would have formed a search party.
yo I'm gonna be cosplay in tomorrow as a human princess luna from mlp fim, the best princess ever. and I need your input on something. do you think I should on Monday cosplay as Mable pines from gravity falls, or keep up the luna video logs. please let me know ASAP. thanks
I'm not great at cosplay. I've seen folks change their costumes day by day, which seems to add some diversity and energy. Plus, if this is a non-brony convention then the diversity will help connect with other groups.
Not for a con but for my channel. Just because.
I SUGGEST DRESSING UP AS AN APPLE! *another me pushes me away* NUUUUUUUU!
that moment when you realize that if breeze stays with flutters either he would have been smoother in his sleep by angel or warp into oblivion
Your videos are amazing.
You forgot snape pony
And pinkie clone!
Snape pony is best pony. XD.
He really unnerved me
i felt very depressed
It's "LevioSAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU"
+DracoRogue1218 hahaha
So Gauntlet of Fire is your favorite season 6 episode so far.
uh this is season 6 and so is gauntlet of fire
***** Oh sorry. There are so many seasons now it's hard to keep track.
yep
I can't wait until Silver Quill gets through the backlog of Season 5: After the Facts and gets to the current episodes.
"Flutter Brutter"... I need Fluttershy's brother's theme song!! Link doesn't work, btw... I love how catchy it is. :)
We have 14 episodes left after the break, right? Not 13? Because today's episode is only episode 12 of season 6
First thing for Zepher to do LOSE THE MAN BUN!!
4:23 what is the song called I must know
"You've Gotta Love Millennials" by Micah Tyler
+Insula Lupescu thank you thank you. Every time I try to use soundhound to figure out what song was it keepped trying to give me a Beatles song
Nazo- kage I tried with shazam, but it couldn't make out the lyrics. Managed to find it though \o/
Johnrude cenastorm
Nice round up, and while I do enjoy Silver Quilted I do hope we get Silver Quill back soon.
Silver Quill are there any plans for anymore videos by IMATOON? I love them and they always make me happy after a bad day.
at the the beginning of flutter brutter I was like, then thousands of fanfics died that moment
I knew you were gonna do the techno chicken thing the second I saw AJ do it!
how long will the break be, I'm going to have a major show hole with nothing to watch after I finish season 2 of Daredevil and MLP first half, oh wait Wayward Pines it is then
I actually recently said to a friend of mine that, in regards to the show's quality:
Has the animation improved? Drastically.
Has the voice work improved? Probably, but I'm not able to speak on that well.
Has the sound and music improved? Maybe? It's likely though I haven't compared older seasons to now.
Has the writing improved? Highly debatable.
Personally, I still think that the first season had a lot less to criticize about it, if for nothing else than we were learning the characters and they could get away with more, but I've been growing quite cynical as of late.
Wait, one more episode before the break?! What break?!
Don't you mean 14 episodes after the break, since it's only episode 12 of 26 left to air before the break? Or are you just counting 25 & 26 together because of course they'll be another 2-parter? (Or have I literally forgot to tally an episode and it's been 13 instead of 12 so far?)
Victorian Era Canterlot... Well, that wasn't something I expected to see in MLP
He might mention it in his After the Fact reviews. XD.
2:40 Applejack's chicken dance sequence should be put on a 10 minute loop.
4:22 song
Hmm.
Silver Quill with a man bun!! :D DO IT!
I like the way you did this video. Maybe if you do more MLP comic books you could do them this way? Please.
NOTE: You don't need to read this whole comment. I just did it because I wanted to say what I think. No matter how little I have to say.
My thoughts on these episodes:
'A Hearths Warming Tale'
OMG ASPHJFHFURH... (I did a review sort of on it, but it was terrible.)
'The Saddle Row Review'
I really enjoyed this episode.
'Applejack's "Day" Off'
This was a fun episode.
'Flutter Brutter'
I really like this episode.
That Link cameo in Flutter Brutter though.
My favorite part of A Hearth's Warming Tale was Luna's song
My favorite part of Saddle Row Review was Pinkie's shoulder angels
The only part that got my attention of AppleJack's Day Off was Raritys face at the beginning 0_0
Flutter Brutter had a Link cameo, so...... thats something
Isn't there gonna be another EQG movie in between the break?
I don't think so, but there might be. I know that they might be working on the MLP movie for 2017, but I dunno about an EQG movie coming out this year.
I heard that EQG 4 was confirmed but don't know anything else.
I heard it's about how Sunset Shimmer is homesick, and will take its cue from the elements that were cut from _Friendship Games_, like SciTwi's I Want song originally being a duet with Sunset.
"Legends of the Everfree, likely late Sept, early Oct like the other ones have been, if that's during the break will depend on how long the break is.
The song the link led to is gone. What's the name of the song used for Zephyr?
solidmario64 The song is called Gotta love millennials
Silver you show the link pony was it so cool.
I was focused on the silver quill toy lol
MLP at best expressed a mild dislike, which made her transformation into the Grinch very jarring
yay youre back!
Yay your back, how was life at everfree northwest or wherever you went
There's going to be a break?!?
yup, and a fairly decent size one, too.
What. but... no...
okay that Chicken dance was an insult to me @_@
Does anyone know "RarityDash?" I feel like she would do a nice collab with silver quill.
that's actually a good idea
While I do think that's an AWESOME idea, I do have to correct you on one thing: RarityDash is a guy.
Cynder Blaze true true
Yeah, when there was enough Flutterdryness to risk drought conditions in "Flutter Brutter," I knew you'd get a kick out of its character work.
What song was played during flutter brutter? that one about a millionair?
"You've Gotta Love Millennials" by Micah Tyler
sarude danstorm
I'm glad to see from silver in general but I miss your regular reviews. I miss the full heart of what your videos did to originally attract me, along with what you still do, but I miss the comedy. I still love your channel Silver but I cant wait for a review like the old ones.
actually we still have two episodes before the break. flutterbrruter (ot however you spell it) was episode 11.
The hiatus starts after this next episode.
Wait, really? So episode 13 is only comming in the fall?
LostInNumbers Yeah
awwwwwwwwwww, did you not notice Link from Zelda in Flutter Butter
Hi silver quill. I just wanted to tell you that I saw your OC in the latest Doctor Whooves and Assistant episode. Around 10:18. Just so you know.
Actually, we have FOURTEEN episodes in the second half, not thirteen. Tomorrow's Spice Up Your Life is #12 in the season.
What was that song you used for Zephyr Breeze?
it's in the description
Snowfall Frost might've had a "noble" goal. But it clouded her focus to a more balanced life.
It's like families who force their children into studying all the time and shunning any moments of recreation. Sure, all that hard work and learning COULD provide a possible great future for you.
But unless you balance it with fun, family and recreation. Instead of bettering the world, it would tarnish it
Silver
Rwby after the facts
PLZ!!!
Oh dear lord that' be amazing. Haven't watched RWBY but knowing he'd be reviewing it might kick my butt into gear. Doubt he'd have time for it though.
+Ballyogan thanks for liking my idea and
love the actsent :)
RWBY? Would Silver watch that?
Well, he watches Dragon Ball Z Abridged, another popular web-series, so it makes sense.
I'd prefer if he did Red vs. Blue, and did an episode for each of the Reds and Blues and how much they've developed over the past 14 seasons like he does with the ponies.
you know that is a much better idea than mine
