Awesome video! I was able to come up with a temporary solution for a glitter wall by making my own removable wallpaper! I also used the blow method and it came out great! Thanks for sharing!
I think there is a visible difference in the bling factor when you blow the glitter versus adding it to paint or modge podge. This is the method I'm going with. Thanks for the help.
beautiful but I think I'd mess up using a blow dryer and blowing the glitter on the wall, I just watched a video where she mixed the glitter with mod podge and painted it on the walls and it came out pretty so I'll probably just try it that way because I know I'd mess up lol you did a great job gorgeous 😍😍😍
Breakup2Makeup i did this to a door, mixing the glitter with the mod podge. It turned out beautiful! BUT.....it was not as easy as it looks, and a very messy project. But as she said”it was worth it” !
Hi Materialgirl this is STUNNING. Do you mind sharing the name and size of the glitter you purchased from hobby lobby. The glitter sparkes so much so I would love to get the exact kind you used. Thanks so much!
So beautiful. What kind of glitter did you use? Also, how small of a section did you do? And did you try mixing the glitter with the paint or just paint and then blow it on to the paint. I'm just not exactly sure what you did.
I did a test run for this method. is very messy but she is right, adding the glitter on top makes it glow more than adding it to the paint or MOD podge. I'll do my wall this way. one question, do you have a lot of the glitter falling off being that you don't seal it in?
This is hands down the best wall on TH-cam I dream of this wall Im just nervous of how to remove it when I move? 😒 Ps place a big pretty body mirror over the messed up spot...you go girl🙋lol
I suggest you get a cheap wall paper not the vinyl but the paper and do the glitter on that because when you decide to change the wall its a gypsum job to replace
Is there something you can put on the wall if you don’t own the property and still glitter a wall. So if you move you can just peel off or strip. Then paint wall back to its original state/color?
I used the rustoleum glitter wall paint and it was just so blotchy so I had to go and get actual gold spray paint to fill in spots and now I’m just not very happy with it because it’s too mustard gold and not pretty light gold like I wanted- so at this point I’m not really sure what I’m going to do
How is this a DIY video when you didn't show to process? Anyway, it's pretty, I love glitter and am going to paint my ceiling white then do diamond dust glitter (finer, so it;s not too much, just a twinkle). They also sell glitter guns to do this, which would be a lot easier than a blow dryer. You can get glitter (all kinds) and a glitter gun at Home Depot.
thers a company called torganal that will sell u a huge box of glitter supper cheap then u can buy a 2 part epoxy that gives u time to put all glitter in small bucket then after u coat entire wall u have plenty of time to toss glitter all over and since thet sell u in bulk u can save left overs..and when it dries you should sand wall smooth then put a clear coat over and it will loom like a solid piece of glass glitter no seems
Danielle Baskerville she just put the grey paint in sections(online said do little sections like 4×4 or what not) but before the paint sets like right after the section of your paint then you need to use the blow dryer to blow the glitter onto the wall where the paint is. (Which is why she had a paper plate as her glitter pan while she blew the glitter on)
YES! that's what I always do when I paint people's houses and they want this type of wall. Dump it in the gallon or 5 gallon bucket and I use a drill to mix it then Cut and roll.
Why didn't you paint the wall, let it dry, THEN use a clear coat with glitter added and use a roller for the whole thing? Cleaner, easier, no loose glitter.
Iron mountain is not silver its more of a battleship gray. I work at Home Depot n been mixing paint for years. This looks like something you would see in a strip club bathrm.
Ok guys I seen all the beautiful glitter walls and decided to try it on one of my spare bedroom walls. Ok I decided I wanted a gold glitter wall so I went to Home Depot and got gallon of a yellowish gold paint More on the golden side. Called fools gold lol the base number is GLN6213N this is perfect for a gold glitter wall. I then went to Michaels craft store for my gold glitter. I bought loads of extra fine glitter came home and worked on my wall. I ran out of glitter so I went back to the craft store and unknowingly got a different type of gold glitter and when I put in on the wall I saw it was a darker glitter and not fine as far as texture and that was the one I needed. So all that being said do not get fine or extra fine glitter that will be too light for the wall the exact glitter to get is creatology glitter paillettes purpurina that’s the exact name and it’s in a 2 oz plastic jar so you will need a lot of them like 10 or so try 10 first because you can sweep up what’s falls on floor and reuse it. If you don’t have a michaels just get gold glitter remember not fine or extra fine. I learned the hard way and wasted a lot of money. Ok this you must do only do small square section at a time very tedious but if you don’t it won’t come out right I also learned that the hard way be doing large areas at a time then having to go back over it. I used a paper plate folded in my hand to guide the glitter on the wall and a blow dryer. Ok key here is to go close as you can with your paper-plate to the wall and put your blow dryer on low do not use high or your glitter will be everywhere. Major key for me I found it better to blow on the glitter on the outer edges of the square first then working my way into the square, it just gave me a better look and a more seamless look as I did each squared area. If you follow these steps then you will not waste glitter having to redo it. This is not a easy one day project at least for me it wasn’t the first day I got so frustrated I didn’t go back to do more for a week lol. I finally went back had the hang of it and wall came out great. Yes I would do it again I’m a pro at it now and I learned from my mistakes. It may be easier ways to do this I’m just telling what I did. Good luck and I’m sure your wall will come out great as well.
the video definitely captures the sparkle. I love it!!
This wall is sparkling I love itt it looks great compared to other glitter wall videos I watched. Your wall is really sparkling
The last 72 was hell but it was all worth it LOL
Great job girl! Wow I love it! one suggestion is I would seal this with polyurethane paint. So the glitter stays on.
What’s polyurethane paint

Breakup2Makeup I try that on a section first but it did not give off the bright bling. It wasnt dramatic enough
Breakup2Makeup
I saw that but I thought the mod podge was soooo streaky
Breakup2Makeup i did this to a door, mixing the glitter with the mod podge. It turned out beautiful! BUT.....it was not as easy as it looks, and a very messy project. But as she said”it was worth it” !
Looks great
I love your reaction 🖤🖤 looks amazing
I’m glad they’ve made glitter wall paint now.... because that looks like a lot of work lol
I've only found bad reviews on glitter paint, any suggestions?
This is the best one I've seen so far Thank you so much for making this video . It's amazing 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 xx
Soooooooooo pretty!! I love it!!!!
Good video thx 4 sharing beautiful!
Wow!!! Gorgeous!
Good job girl I’m going to try this in my shop
This is gorgeous!!!
For all those that are asking the glitter sticks to the paint on the wall. You paint in squares then apply your glitter which sticks to the wet paint.
That's beautiful!!!
I love it 😍😍😍
Jazzmine Noland thank you 🤗
I wish my whole apt was like this!!!
I love 💕 it
I love your attitude! More DIY videos!
Stunning!
Chantel Manning thank you 🤗

Hi Materialgirl this is STUNNING. Do you mind sharing the name and size of the glitter you purchased from hobby lobby. The glitter sparkes so much so I would love to get the exact kind you used. Thanks so much!
And now it’s 2018 and they make glitter paint that drys this way lol they were watching lol
So beautiful. What kind of glitter did you use? Also, how small of a section did you do? And did you try mixing the glitter with the paint or just paint and then blow it on to the paint. I'm just not exactly sure what you did.
Hey! Please could you tell me what brand the glitter was please I live in the uk and don't have a hobby lobby so will try and search it on google :)
I bought polyester glitter (supposedly doesn't lose its color like craft glitter). Mix it in with paint glaze, which dries clear.
I did a test run for this method. is very messy but she is right, adding the glitter on top makes it glow more than adding it to the paint or MOD podge. I'll do my wall this way. one question, do you have a lot of the glitter falling off being that you don't seal it in?
MARIELENA3155 polyurethane paint will seal it and the glitter will deff stay on
Virginiah Love I used spray on sealant. please check out my video thanks
MARIELENA3155 where is your video
Is on my page please take a look❤️
i love your voice 😭‼️
This is hands down the best wall on TH-cam I dream of this wall Im just nervous of how to remove it when I move? 😒 Ps place a big pretty body mirror over the messed up spot...you go girl🙋lol
Alana Myeshia my issue too 🤷🏾♀️ don’t want to be charged for leaving a glitter wall .
Use wallpaper then paint over that. That’s what I did 😉
shell Monroe oh ok 👍🏾 thanks
You can just paint right over the glitter
So Beautiful!😣😍 What's the names of all the Glitter you use?
Beautiful
Would it look patchy ? If you don’t hurry before it dries and the glitter doesn’t get on even. If that makes sense
I suggest you get a cheap wall paper not the vinyl but the paper and do the glitter on that because when you decide to change the wall its a gypsum job to replace
Is there something you can put on the wall if you don’t own the property and still glitter a wall. So if you move you can just peel off or strip. Then paint wall back to its original state/color?
i would have like to see how u did it so i can see if its do able for me. but i get the idea thanx.
It's gorgeous but I completely missed how you go the glitter on the wall... cam someone explain?
Blew the glitter to wet paint...I couldn't find any one to hold the Camara while taping lol
how well did the glitter stick to the paint? does it shed a lot?
Loveeeeeee it ❤️️
Nice! But what kind of glitter and what did you get it from
LOVE IT
Mackinass Moriah 206 thank you 🤗

I just added glitter to a clear coat and painted that over top of paint much, much, much easier than all this
Heather Mancini have you any photos plz
@@adarealestyouknow8020 I wanna see👀
Can we used anything different paint color and different glitter

Very cool. So did you ever fix that part of the wall at the end? Good thing I watched this before I did the same thing lol
This won't work for my ceiling. I'd have to use the modge podge method. If I blow glitter on my ceiling, it'll be all over me. D:
I Loooovvvvvve it
do you have a light on to make it glisten like little stars
COME TO DETROIT AND DO MINE!!!! :-)
thers a company called torganal that will sell u a huge box of glitter supper cheap then u can buy a 2 part epoxy that gives u time to put all glitter in small bucket then after u coat entire wall u have plenty of time to toss glitter all over and since thet sell u in bulk u can save left overs..and when it dries you should sand wall smooth then put a clear coat over and it will loom like a solid piece of glass glitter no seems
Gorgeous!! I just wish you actually showed how you did it , I'm a visual learner lol
hey plzz can u tell to me tht the glitter which u used is of which company product or from where
Can you put the glitter in the paint, then paint it?
Hey what was it that you put on the wall for the glitter to stick if i didnt hear right ? Its beautiful by the way.
Danielle Baskerville i think mod podge

the last 72 hours were hell😂😂I'm in 24 hours of painting hell
Louise love to see a pic
I would end up glittery myself trying to put that on.
Did you use silver and gold glitter
i would like to do this but if one day i dont want it anymore how will i be able to remove it?
yarely jimenez Great question....I dont know. Maybe scrub it off? I dont think I would ever not want glitter lol
Sanding the walls ,very time consuming tho.
Holy shit this is so beautiful this is so nice, I can't do it I know it but damn u r good!
can you mix the glitter into the paint?
YES! that's what I always do when I paint people's houses and they want this type of wall. Dump it in the gallon or 5 gallon bucket and I use a drill to mix it then Cut and roll.
Mr. E. Awesome
It can be cleaned?
I'm a coupon queen too!
How do you blow the glitter on the wall while holding the paper plate and the cardboard to catch the excess glitter???
Sunny M you put the cardboard on the floor.....omfg
How to do it? What’s the process? 😞 someone please reply
What Zit Tooya watch the video
Beautiful but you could have just mixed glitter in. It works too. It is gorgeous though
Nossa eu amei! 😱
❤❤❤😍😍😍😍😍
nice wall.. but vertical video???
Why didn't you paint the wall, let it dry, THEN use a clear coat with glitter added and use a roller for the whole thing? Cleaner, easier, no loose glitter.
But you did this in 2016 so I don't understand WHY this isn't in LANDSCAPE MODE GAHHHH
Hey Jamie dont know what that means lol
Hey Jamie lol it's the way she held her phone.
Did it ever come off ?
Tink Tries It No I had it forva month..mit stays put. I dont know how to remove it permanently. I am in love and will have it forever lol
lol I'm in love with it - I'm getting my dream room done 👑 but thank you so much for replying ❤️
Can you do my wall 😩😩😩😩
This would look better if you didn't shoot the video vertically.
Rachael Ferguson I didn't shoot vertically...TH-cam uploaded that way
