Nice! Another cool technique is to paint a solid dark-colored background and then mix a matching colored or silver glitter into a clear topcoat to paint over it for a more brilliant effect.
I did this on our accent wall in the living room and it looks gorgeous!!!! Very easy to do and way better than any glitter paint on the market. Thanks so much.
I‘ve seen this over a year ago and I think this is brilliant. Your wall turned out beautifully! I did this to my dressers and tv stand. I wouldn’t recommend doing this to furniture but I like how mine turned out, it just weakens it a little bit.
i really wanna do this glitter wall ! i’ve been looking at a few different methods and this one is by far my favorite. did you paint the wall before you did the glitter or can you go over old color? i’m re doing my paint color so i was wondering if it was easier not to paint the wall i’ll be doing
The rubber rim part you're referring to is called "cove base" and unless that surface is clean, dry, and dull using an adhesive bonding primer, it will peel right off . Even if you do all of the steps listed above, you'll probably still have issues with wear and tear due to the base trim being ran into from furniture and foot traffic :/ maybe if you top coat with a clear polycrylic sealer?
For that whole wall (one only) did you only need that one tub of modge podge to do the entire wall? Or was more used? I have a 128 oz and was wondering if that’s enough. Also about how many ounces or pounds of glitter did you use?
taty13graham I can’t remember it was awhile ago. I think I got 2 tubs of modge podge and maybe 3 of each glitter (fine and regular). Our store is a little bit of a drive so I Would rather get more and just return what I don’t use. Sorry hope that’s a little helpful
@@camore5422 yeah of course it would be harmful, a lot of toxic chemicals in glues. I was more concerned about heavy metal poisoning which can cause tons of different issues for the child. Aluminium toxicity from all the glitter can cause Alzheimers and has been linked with infertility. Please get the child tested for aluminium asap 😯
Oh mah gawdddd ❤️ this looks so good!! last night I covered a glass cup with glitter using this method & I thought I messed up so bad but I just need a second coat 🙌🏻 ***my mod podge turned purple & I’m still debating on doing it another way.. we shall see lol
Jessica diaz nope not at all once it’s dried. Towards the end of my video you can see that I ran my hand across the wall showing that. Good luck with your wall 😁

I'm also planning to paint a bedroom in that method as well
I will mix the glitter in a clear coat and add to the painted walls

Amazing no mess, love this video
Did you paint your wall that lavender color before you put the glitter paint on top of it or was the wall white before the glitter paint
Omg, followed ur video ! Results are amazing 😍😍❤️😍😍 love it. Best thing I Eva done. Thank you
Do you think I could do this around my fireplace then spray a heat resistant clear coating over it??
Thanks for the tips
Thank you for the tip. Painting styrofoam smooth balls and your technique is much easier
So how many coats did you do? And how many gallons of mod podge did you use? How many glitters?
This makes me want to do my room wall, but I'm a renter so I'm sure it's not allowed. I'll have to live vicariously through you. Beautiful wall!
I remt as well i was told i just have to paint the wall back white before i move
Beautiful😍 💝💝💝💝💕💕💗💗
So beautiful
Looks awesome!! If you paint that wood trim around the window and the wood paneling below it white, your room would look even better. Great job tho!
Her voice reminds me of Courtney Kardashian. And also great video

Good night type of glitter did u use to mix into the paint
Very helpful video 👍👌👌👌👍👍👌👍👌👍👌👍👌👍👌👍👌👍. Thanks
Did this ever shed or chip away? My 4 year old daughter is finally getting her own room and we wanna have a pink glitter wall...
You’re brilliant!!!!
Can I paint the wall back white, when I move put my home?
Can i ask if its okay to paint the mix glitters paint on the next day?
Could this be used on the rubber rim part that connects the wall to floor like the part where he stopped painting

Hi 👋 I was wondering how much glitter would I need for one wall times two coats please ?
How did you wash the paint roller?
Does it matter what kind of mod podge you use?
will it peel? thtas my only fear
Excellent
How much money did you spend for everything? And how many bottles glitter did you buy?
Can I mix glitters on a paint?.
I want to paint my wall a gold color, can I mix the glitter with the paint, will it last longer?
So for the one coat you used a half of bottle of glue?
how many layers of it did u have to do x
What kind of mod podge did you use?

Iteacha Robertson the glitter wall was just modge podge, silver glitter and fine silver glitter

Please I want a reply, can i put normal glitter in the painting? Please answer and thanks
The white liquid is it paint or glue??
Where did you find that big tub of Modge podge?
Astavy08 I found them on amazon or Walmart
It's hard to tell on my screen. Does the wall color come through any or is it all silver from glitter?
Christiew22 all silver from the glitter
Lo blanco q mezcla con la purpurina es pegamento ?
Now that it’s been a year how well do you feel it held up? I’m thinking of doing this for my main wall in my bedroom
Ashley Imbt it looks perfect still! No glitter has fallen off
Do you remember...did you use half the mod podge per coat or a full one for each coat?
Did you use a primer before? And what was the color of the wall?
Evelyn Lewis we didn’t use a primer. The wall was a light tan before but the glitter is so thick you can’t see the wall color
@@Longlive1989 where did you buy your glitters please
But this isnt waterproof right ? Since mod podge is water based
So when it dry you see the glitter not the modge
Normal pent me use kr skte h
That's awesome

Do u think this will work as good with pink glitter. I want to do one side of my daughter's room pink glitter paint
G G yes for sure! It should work for any color. The mod podge should dry clear. Good luck!
If you run your hand through the wall will the glitter fall? Thinking about doing it for my daughters walk but not trying to deal with he mess
Jessica diaz nope not at all once it’s dried. Towards the end of my video you can see that I ran my hand across the wall showing that. Good luck with your wall 😁
You can also do an extra coat of plain mod podge just to be safe

Is that wall curved in?😃
caro namala it’s not! It might look that way from the camera

I’ve seen this ! This is actually how I’ve done this as well
Is the wall rough to touch? And also does the glitter come off when touched?
Rosaslinawati Asnawi it is rough. The glitter doesn’t come off at all
@@Longlive1989 alright thank u.. then i might reconsider as i have small kids that are always running around
Can i just mix the glitter with a normal paint? Will this still working?
No you have to mix it with a transparent glue what dries clear so you see the glitter
@@christinesunshine5398 how do you achieve your desired colour if you use transparent glue?
Es pintura o pegamento?
Very nais
I tried this and it did not come out nice or even ,idk what went wrong
