Robyn is not ignorant. She is purposely lobbing Kody softball questions so he can try to clarify and make himself look better. She knows what makes him look bad and is giving him a chance to do damage control.

She doesn't realize actions speak louder than words. Asking kody if he wants to be an engaged father and him saying yes does NOT make him an engaged father. He has to actually...engage! Lol
How much you wana bet they went over questions they should ask eachother cause they knew which clips theyd be watching so robin probably thought time to do damage cotrol, hence her constant odd questions in part 1 and part 2 of the talk backs.

Christine said she DID involve Robyn's kids in earlier times. Then Robyn started separating herself and her kids from the family. Christine was always having family functions at her house involving all of the family. Christine wanted to be involved with Robyn's kids. She wanted to babysit them. Robyn said NO.
Wasn’t it like a whole thing in an earlier season that Robyn got a nanny instead?
Edit to clarify: Like Christine had offered but Robyn chose to get a nanny instead.
Christine did reach out and invite Robin's kids to her wedding and to something else. Robin's kids did not respond.

There was a scene where Robyn goes to Meri's house and asked Meri if she was going to invite everyone to her house for Christmas Eve. Meri says "I don't know." Robyn then says "That sounds scary." So, when Robyn tries to make it seem that she's confused why Janelle says Kody says the boys can't come to Christmas, she's a damn liar.

The Christmas thing was ridiculous as Meri offered her house for Christmas Eve as a neutral zone. Kody was starting to sound amiable to it when Robyn piped up that having Kody and the boys together sounded "scary". Kody asked what she meant and she explained that tensions would be high and something might happen. Kody then quickly changed his mind and said no.
On Christmas Eve there would be a scary event. It's Christmas Eve - do not buy that Robyn.
Kody always goes back to Robyn, and then changes his mind... Christine and moving back to Utah, Janelle and the trailer. On and on
Right..how will they ever resolve anything if they can't get together? What is so scary? She thinks there'll be a fist fight? Not with the whole family around.

It’s scary to sobby because kooty could reconnect and remember life before Sobby. He could start to want things that she doesn’t.

Meri had to go because he actually did love her at one point. Sobby doesn’t share like that. She needs total control
Janelle’s boys had to go because they are close to Kody. She needs total control over him.
Christine had to go because she made demands. She needs total control and “his” money is hers.
Sobby is a lot like kooty. She’s out manipulated the original family manipulator. Manipulators that just want their needs met and others needs don’t matter unless they benefit some how. It’s like karmic justice for kooty lol

Should these two go down in flames the way they will turn on each other is worth keeping them at least on the radar.
If you look back at season 18 Meri offered to have everyone come to her house on Christmas Eve- which was the norm pre covid. But both Robyn and Kody said no to that
I wish she had done it anyway. The control and manipulation in this family is so toxic and disgusting. It distracts and derails everyone from growing and living their own God-given personal path.
Meri was a pretty good number one.
She did make sure all were welcome for holidays and the Fridays they used to have. She would get the kids sleepwear for Christmas and other things to make a fun family tradition. Even with her big hurts she opened her heart. None are a saint but I’m tired of them trying to make Meri look like the bad one out of their jealousy. Both OG haven’t let it go.
Anyway, Meri is too fun and “shocking” for them anyway. Apparently. Out of the OG3 I would hang with her and laugh.
I think Kody said, "Would you do that?" Or something like that. Then Robem did her thing.
I wish the other wives had called his bluff in a way, all show up at Robyn’s and take over the house and live how they did in Utah. See how Robyn would react to the full sister wives experience!

I think Robyn would struggle trying to fit into a sister wife situation. She doesn't play well with others.

Christine actually says in one of these episodes that she has reached out to Robyn's kids and they have not responded. What she said when she announced the divorce was that she needed space FOR NOW with the people she did not have a relationship with. Meaning Robyn, Kody, and Meri. She did not say she didn't want anything to do with them. Just that she needed space. Probably to find her footing and reflect on what kind of relationship she wanted. She had actually said she could see them getting together for family reunions and things like that.
I think that it's in the second look back. I hope that they circle back to this point!
Robyn actually repeats it and Christine says, “for now I need space”. It was clear.
Robyn alternatively uses playing stupid and playing smart to manipulate Kody into saying what she wants the audience to hear to further her narrative. She's ACTING!

On the episode where Robyn asked Christine if she wanted to continue to have a relationship with her & the kids, Christine said she wanted to continue to have a relationship with ALL of the kids & she could see everyone getting together for reunions and get togethers, but that she wasn't interested in a one on one relationship with any of the adults except Janelle. 😢 Christine said that Robyn's kids were her kids' siblings, and she was all for them continuing to have a relationship.. she has always maintained that stance. Christine isn't lying, nor has she spoken with a forked tongue.
She also did say she tried to reach out to them, at the very least to invite them to her wedding.
Christine said for now. Not forever.
Christine also said “for right now” she didn’t want a relationship with Robyn and Meri.
That means it can be reassessed at a future time.
Christine also shared that she invited Robyn's kids to her wedding, but didn't hear back from them. And she said she understood, she wasn't upset about it. Robyn is the one who twisted Christine's words & lied to her own kids, telling them that Christine said she didn't want a relationship with them. In the "knife in the kidney" porch convo, Robyn asked Christine, "Do you want to try to work on a relationship with ME" & Christine replied, twice, "I need some space right now."

I ran across the term "word salad narcissism" today. It said it is "when a narcissist strings together a bunch of random words and phrases in an attempt to confuse and manipulate you." Totally Kody's responses to so many questions and situations! Just throws out phrases, words, nonsense and untruths.... to keep from owning any responsibility for anything!
Distracts. Then they all get confused and don’t know any to respond. But I’d be asking what? Make him explain. Probably get more gibberish.
Christine (before the knife in the kidney speech) said she wanted to take a break from Robyn and Kody. She never even mentioned the kids. That's why Kody got mad. She was disrespecting Robyn again in his eyes. Robyn inserted THE KIDS later to make Christine look bad.
Plus, I don't think Robin would ever allow her kids to spend time with the rest of the family on their own. She would have to be there to monitor and control the situation. So, if Christine doesn't want to be around Robin, then Robin's kids can't be around Christine either. I believe Robin only sees her kids as an extension of herself. Which is a common behavior narcissists exhibit. Just saying. I hate it so much when I see parents do this to their children. It's just so abusive and cruel.

Robyn has extreme control over her adult children's communications with the rest of the family. Even if Christine reached out they have been told that she hates them and she is "unsafe". She said that she would love to have had Robyn's kids at her birthday because she knew her kids would love to see them.
I think it's Kody's doing. He demands everything be his way, and I think he controls that too.
@@user-fh6uq6wt7p I agree. I think Kody & Robyn started out to take as much $$ from the OG3 estate. I think Kody decided that he wanted monogamy, but he knew Robyn would not stay without other minions to support her. I personally think he has been lying to both groups. He kept the families apart to keep the lies straight. He tells Robyn that he is reaching out and trying to reconcile; he perpetuates the facade by telling Robyn that the OG3 does not like her and her kids. He then goes to the ladies and tells them to get in line or get out. We was arrogant enough to think the OG3 were just playing games and acting like "princesses". Once the money is divided out, all the lies will eventually get weeded out.
At some point, Christine says she does reach out to Robyn's kids, but Robyn's kids know they will look disloyal if they stay engaged with that part of the family. It's sad. They never reach back out to her.
Absolutely!!! If Robin can’t be present to “watch over,” she isn’t allowing ANY visits to take place, can only hope this too comes back to bite her a$$…I feel so sad for ALLLL of the children!!
I feel SO bad for Robyns kids bc they wanted this family SO badly and these kids are in pain over losing it all and their lack of relationship with the other moms is dependant on Robyn and Kody even though 3 are legal adults. Its just sad! I even caught a clip of 1 of McKeltys vids and Tony says that the K and R and kids have all been invited to their house MANY times and never go and the kids wont go alone.
I don't think Robyn is failing to capture nuance. I think she's pretending that she's clueless. In past episodes, it's clear that she understands what the issue was for spending the holidays apart. She's just trying to absolve Kody and herself of any responsibility by asking the question, you didn't want separate holidays so why is Jenelle saying that.

Robyn has turned her kids against the family. Savannah and Brianna go to school together and do not speak. Remember how Aurora and Brianna acted at Christine's goodbye ?
Also, Christine said she needed some time. She did not tell Robyn that she did not want anything to do with her and her kids.
He got a congratulations for going to Savannahs graduation and seemingly being involved.. however aurora graduated at the same time. That’s the reason he was there not Savannah. He treats ysabel, truly, and Savannah the same. But is heavily involved with the children in his “home”.

Also if you go back and watch the episode when Truly had a birthday party at Robyn's house, Breanna was ignoring Ysabel and standing almost with her back to her. It was very obvious Ysabel was uncomfortable

Came to agree- we love Allison but we also love you two together. One of my favourite things (I hope it isn’t weird) is the way you look at her when she’s talking. I can tell you find her very funny and smart, she charms you and it’s very sweet. Conversely, I can tell Allison adores you and your ideas, and I love how she playfully teases you. You’re such a great couple to watch because even when you disagree, you have so much mutual respect and clearly enjoy your debates.
I love that he sticks to his opinions despite ppl disagreeing with him. I almost always agree with him.

Yes, and the one daughter (forget name) and Tony had a good relationship with Robyn/kody and even they are not getting to see Robyns older kids which they said on a podcast that they invited them to come out to visit them many times and get nothing back.
Robyn “shtick” is a total put-on. This is a well rehearsed ACT between she & Kody. They have discussed every minuet detail of all of this, so her ridiculous questions to him are beyond obvious & manipulative to help him to follow her “script” & to stroke his ego at the same time. She’s a freaking piece of work.

This may sound random but Robyn and Cody’s relationship reminds me of Edward VII and Wallis Simpson. She pursued him and after he abdicated the throne to marry her, she essentially became trapped in a relationship she didn’t want. He was completely dependent on her and she was miserable.

Christine said she reached out to Robyn kids and they cut off all communication. Robyn is now the stepmother to ALL the kids, not Christine. You cant blame her for the kids siding with their mother
Christine did reach out to Robyn's kids but they didn't respond back. I think it was when she was planning her wedding and was invited the kids to attend. David must have missed that somehow for him to reach the conclusion he did

I think Robyn is trying to save face for Kody. Like she’s trying to organize his thoughts for him and have it come out a certain way so us the audience won’t keep going in on him and criticize the things he says.
True. Kody's thoughts are scattered. He often seems to have difficulty finishing one thought before he has a "squirrel " moment.
It seems like she does this with him and the rest of the family. I know she grew up in polygamy but I'm curious about her family dynamics when she was growing up and the role she or her mother played within that family.

@@jenpringle6402 This is the first time I've seen her like this. Her idgaf demeanor here is such a stark contrast to what we've seen in recent seasons. I still think a lot of the crying is fake, but I genuinely believe she has a lot of issues with stress and anxiety.

The million dollar question: Why didn’t Robyn invite EVERYONE to HER HOUSE for the holidays either 12/25 or some other date.
I think Suki should be fired and the the viewers can make the questions. If big man Kody has "his house" and he wants the kids to "come to him" and Robin is the best Sister wife ever, then yes that is the million dollar question! I think David is thoughtful and openminded. He is even self aware enough to change his mind. One of the first pop psych SW vids I saw, David disagreed with Alison about the term “abuse.” But he uses it now! You are a good egg, David!
I don’t like to watch a ton of couples on TH-cam but I miss Allison when she’s not there. She says everything I’m thinking. 😊
Christine has said that she’s reached out to Robyn’s kids and hasn’t received a response. I think she said in an interview that she texted them (maybe to invite them to her wedding?) Same with some of the OG13 kids trying to have a relationship with Robyn’s kids yet no response.

Christine was talking about her breakup convo when kody was stabbed in the kidneys. During that conversation Christine said she needed space from Robyn and Meri for right now. Robyn took that to mean Christine never wanted a relationship with Robyn or her kids ever again.
I loved your point about the lions. Kody used the lions as an analogy of polygamy in nature when he and Robin were at the zoom on their honeymoon. Guess he didn't know about the lion's domination over other males. He doesn't have that in him for sure. 😂

Didn’t Meri want to invite everyone over to her house for Christmas Eve (because it was neutral territory) and ROBYN is the one who said that it wouldn’t be “safe”? And during the fight between Janelle & Kody, Janelle mentioned that the boys wanted to know if they were going to see Kody over Christmas and he said “No” and that “He had a house” - both those instances would lead a normal person to think that he (& Robyn) have no interest in seeing anyone outside of Robyn’s immediate family. 🤔
Robbin does capture nuance. She LEADS Kody with questions and badgers him until she gets the answer she wants. Look at 9:05 as an example and you’ll start seeing it in their interactions.
I think Kody does a lot to put the blame on Robyn. I think if he was a really loving husband he would be trying to show Robyn how HE is to blame, not her. But he’s often saying, “See Robyn? When we stopped the weekly prayer circle they are trying to blame you for that!” He is responsible for the changes in the family. Robyn could not institute those changes without Kody insisting that everyone goes along.
Christine has said she reached out to Robyn's kids. Not on this episode but i think during one those press junkets. Also, I didn't hear Christine say she was cutting off contact with the kids. She said for now she needs a break from their momma and daddy.

I do think he is on something. His eyes look like one of those cat clocks that look back and forth. You can see the white completely around his pupil. When you look at other pics of him you can tell he looks high af. If he isnt....he should seek medical treatment because that is not normal.

@@gennc7293 Not necessarily, a psychologist that speaks to abuse victims for 20 years would have pretty great insight. They would know what it takes to process the abuse and get to the other side of it whereas a victim might only know what it feels like to be in it/PTSD after.

David, you're adorable and your analyses make sense. I watched my (X) husband change similar to Kody's changes. Twice! It happened every time he found new supply and was in limerence. Same craZy behavior. Eyes bugged out, appear to be on drugs, illogical, constant contradictions. Kody is in a downward spiral from narcissistic injury. It's doubtful Robyn is educated past the 6th grade, LOL
I think when Robyn said "you see" she was referring to having Meri hang on with her because Kody occasionally said something nice about Meri. Sometimes Kody thought about Meri or maybe even wondered about her. Her saying you see is justifying her selfishness in having Meri hopeful about a reconciliation that was never going to happen.

When Kody is talking about Meri & the pressure of the marriage & Robyn is saying “See” I think she is pointing to Kody and saying that as why she encouraged Meri to hold on. Remember that Robyn would tell Meri that Kody thinks about her & talks about her still and from that Robyn felt like Kody could come back around to wanting to have a relationship with Meri again.
Also, on one of these 4 bonus episodes Christine states that since leaving Kody she has reached out to Robyn’s children but never heard back from any of them. I do think she’d like to have a relationship with the children.
When Robyn was saying "See... see..." when Kody said that he sort of missed Meri, I think that Robyn was saying that this is why she always said that it wasn't over between Kody and Meri, all the while ignoring the fact that it's very different being a friend with someone and being in an intimate relationship with someone. I believe that Kody resented the expectations that Meri had of Kody because they were in an intimate relationship. The acceptable level of expectations is much lower in a friendship. Kody thought that he could handle that kind of relationship with Meri. (Just my take...)
When Robyn said “See? See?” When discussing Kody’s comments about Meri and him being great friends if she doesn’t turn bitter, it was Robyn referencing how all along she believed that there “was more there” with regard to Kody’s feelings for Meri and the hope she had for their marriage. She always used these instances to keep Meri hanging on for Kody. Robyn has made a few references like this where she thinks Kody feels more for Meri than he says, so here she felt there was more proof.
I think Kody would do that to confuse Robyn and Meri. That’s one reason why Meri held on and couldn’t figure out where their relationship was as Jen said. He would say things that would suggest the marriage is over but oh wait I’d like to work together and move to a better place, go on dates as friends and see where it goes. It’s incredibly manipulative and insensitive.
Christine did reach out to Robyn's kids...I think she said that in one of the tell alls. They didn't respond to her.
I feel that when Robyn says "See - see!" she is meaning I knew it. I insisted Meri not leave because Kody cares about her. AFTER the divorce he wants to be friends. He doesn't mean it. He says what he thinks will make him look good.
Robyn is leading the conversation to help spin the narrative that nothing is kody's fault. She's manipulating him, I'm no psychologist but even I can see that.

I’ve been waiting for this! I love watching you both reacting to this dumpster fire of a man and the always confused manipulative Sobyn and his finally free ex-wives! My hope is once Meri and Janelle are financially situated, and outside of his clutches, that they will come out and be even more upfront and vocal about what was going on in the family.
