You know they make caps for those quick connectors
Quick disconnects have a O-ring and back up ring (behind the O-ring) on the female side. You don't need to replace the entire female connector (although it's easier), you can just replace the O-ring and backup ring, a bit tricky to fish the old one out but doable.
If you go to an hydraulic shop and they realize than you're not into hydraulics, they might try to rip you off with a new set of quick disconnects... Probably the most expensive ones too. Just be aware of that.

Solvent on bare hands? I would recommend a box of nitrile gloves. Keep your hands clean and no toxic chemicals absorbed. I would agree with the other comments, change your o-rings, keep spares, protect the fittings from dirt when not connected.
Hydraulic connectors are dirt magnets, that's something I know from farm life. Starting fluid or brake cleaner for cleaning the connectors seems to be a good idea though. Protective caps are also useful for all connectors not in use, it protects them from rust but also from dents.
Hydraulic oil under pressure is also something you have to be careful with. The channel AvE has made a video on that - if that oil goes into your body then it's going to cause some serious harm. Just getting it on your skin is merely an irritation risk, but injected in a muscle it's bad news.
Perhaps they have a worn O ring in the connector?
Maybe bad O-rings?
Those are a pioneer coupling, use a 90 degree pick to hook o ring in female end and match and replace
There are different materials, varying hardness and compatibilty of materials to fluids to be considered for O ring selection.
They make these heavy duty black surgical gloves ,that mechanics use.
You should think about buying some for jobs like that.
You need to replace the o ring in the coupler. Any equipment dealer has them for a pioneer couple

I have a question. Pony motor versus PTO? Could you do a video about that. Also your personal experience on 3+3+1 versus 2+3+2 set ups. Which one is best to you?
I'm sure you can buy a plug and cap, for when you leave them out unused.

maybe give them screwed on connections a snug with the new adjustable wrench even though I couldn't exactly see where the leak was ..stay safe
If you had a gladhand connected to a air hose with a air gun you could save money on the cans of spray.
Those couplers are always causing problems. The leak looks like the o-ring in the female ends is damaged or missing. The o-rings as has already been pointed out can be changed. Some will also have a teflon back up ring, which can be changed as well but they are not that easy to change as getting them in the coupling usually damages them. In the mining industry we consider those coupling as throwaways. We always carried spares. (mind you we didn't have to pay for them.) I would suggest you invest in enough spares to carry in your truck and if they start to leak just replace them when you are on the road. Try and change the o-rings when you are done with the load. (A other good thing to do is when disconnected and not needed is as some one pointed out is join the ends together when not in use and you are not using the PTO. The other thing is take your used rubber gloves and save them and then use them to cover the connectors and tape them down so that dirt and moisture cannot get at the couplings. spray them with a good spray lube before covering. You have to make sure the lube won't eat the o-rings. Best to use some of your hyd. oil in a spray bottle.
+ Some fancy ones that have suficient backup ring and more sophisticated seals are SUPER hard to use. Like full strengh+ 1/3 bodyweight dificult.
Is it possible to have somebody flush out the hose? Is cleaning the connectors enough?
Next time hook the hydraulic hose together to keep them clean on the trailer when not using them.

Flat faced couplers..... That's all I have on my excavating equipment ..never an issue with dirt. If you do they are super easy to clean. Just my 2 cents.....like you need somebody else chiming in with their 2 cents. 🤣
Entirely curious only, I saw your weights are uneven quite a bit, it seems like you might be overweight on the trailer, assuming you can get 80k lbs on those 4 axles and 20k lbs on the jeep? Have you considered moving the excavator forwards on the trailer to even the weight out about to avoid overweight? Or are your permits issued to cover these weights already?
He needs to modify the neck of the trailer so the kingpin is closer to the deck, that way he will get more of the loaded weight onto the jeep and truck.
In my opinion it was a mistake to extend the jeep, that has only made the situation worse.

Maybe you should check on some FLAT FACE couplers. There can’t get dirt or trash in them, there used on construction and farm equipment. Just a thought, safe travels, like your channel
