Don't confuse Jews and Zionists. Many Jews do not support Zionism. There are even Jewish peace groups IN ISRAEL who oppose the oppression of the Palestinians. In the USA it's AIPAC specifically, not all or even most jews.

Israel would love to conflate all Jewish people with Zionism because it makes their accusations of anti-Semitism easier - if I'm anti-Semitic, why would I want Jewish people to stay living next to me in the UK?!
