The diagnostic challenge of General practice with limited investigations and the variety are indeed exciting. This analysis of your personal statement is a very insightful video for aspiring med students.
This video was amazing and so insightful! I’m Canadian applying to Irish medical schools, would you still recommend I use the same format for my personal statement, since North American med schools have a completely different approach! If you still offer services for personal statement reviewing, I would love to know more:)
Hi Tash! In one of your other videos I heard you mention about getting as many people to read your personal statement! When I come to write mine is there any way possible of sending it to you to read? Don’t worry if not. Great video - you are going to make an amazing doctor!
So sorry I have now stopped reading personal statements as I am really busy! Definitely ask teachers, your family or family friends to give it a read - even if they are not in the healthcare industry!
thank you sooo much this literally made it easier on me to start my ps letter , where do i send mine for you to read it ? also what advice do you give someone that didnt shadow a doc ?
Tysm for the video!! I have a question: do you think it is ok to say “ this reassured my passion to become a physician ...” after talking about an experience?
Haha I actually didn't! My UCAT score was around 570 so I believe just below average but I think it's got so much more competitive these days than when I applied in 2017 so I don't think I would get in with that score anymore to King's.
Farrer Jasmine Claire - It’s just my opinion but I think it’s very cliche and doesn’t come across genuine. I think it’s better to reflect and explain how you are passionate rather than just stating that you are passionate if that makes sense? But I’m no expert on the topic - just my opinion :)))
Lovely video! Just written myself a list of notes to help with writing my own personal statement. I'm so excited for med school! x
Aw I'm so glad it was helpful :)

How many drafts did you do, and how long did it take you to write the final statement (weeks/months)?
thank you sooo much this literally made it easier on me to start my ps letter , where do i send mine for you to read it ? also what advice do you give someone that didnt shadow a doc ?
So glad it helped! Unfortunately I am not longer reading personal statements :(

I think that statement is a given considering that you are applying for Medicine. So I would say that that sentence isn't needed :)))
@@DrTashBinnie thank you so much :)
Thanks, I learned a lot :)
So glad to hear it!
Amaizng , thank you 🌸🌸🌸
Wow! I believe you must have attained very high UCAT & BMAT marks besides your attractive personal statement. Would you mind telling me your marks?

Why shouldn't we use the word passion?

It has been 3 years since you posted this video. Are you still willing to read personal statements and give constructive criticism?
