I listened to and compared both. X500 sound better in terms of sound quality (Clarity, Dynamic, and tonality). Maybe just to my ear. I am an audiophile and owning a high end system or headphone at home
I find it a smidge strange that detail, instrument separation, openness and volume were all mentioned. But there wasn’t a single word about which has better bass. Which is something folks that watch your videos really care about imo
Wow...i was really disappointed in the sound quality of the x500. It supposed to be "Hi Res" sound, but it sounds muffled in comparison. The bass is nice, but I'll skip this one and opt for the x600 it's WELL worth the cost, and crushes the Charge 5.
The X500 doesn’t have true spacial audio. So there’s that elephant in the room. No disrespect but it’s funny how folks get all mesmerized and manipulated by these advertising buzzwords.
@@waynedexter what amazes me is how no matter the amount of times marketers burn customers they believe the next buzzword. If the charge 5 marketed itself with special audio everyone would start saying that they can hear it lol😂

To be very frank, X500 sounds sure better, costs much less and looks way better. There is no competition here, unless you are a JBL fanboy (The Channel is one) who is hell bent on defending JBL. At the moment of commenting, X500 is CAD100 in Amazon and Charge5 is CAD200. I don't know what you guys are smoking.
To be honest i don't like any of them... Jbl decided to go with a super bright sound signature on this speaker just like the boombox 3 as well, that as a 700hz peak, and overall highs are too bright, it's hear piercing and fatiguing.
@@waynedexter I don't like being dependent on eq. I like a flat line sound. Also on JBL the eq. is not a true eq. it's a sound adjustment, they play with your perceived sound, i really don't like it.
@@nvc. I don’t have the charge 5 but it sounds to me like JBL may have to tuned it to be used outdoors Because outdoors is where a brighter sound signature would be preferred imo I have the Soundcore Motion Boom Plus and it’s virtually unusable indoors. Brightness being one of its main issues. Even EQ’d I can’t get it to sound good indoors. Outdoors though the speaker sings
@@waynedexter Yes i have that idea as well. Even the boombox 3 is tunned like that for more a outdoor usage, but for me i allways prefer a more warmer sound. I use the Harman Kardon Studio Onyx 6 and its the perfect speaker for me indor or outdoor.
5:05 - This speaker looks like a robot head, I'll never look at my x500 the same again.
Sound core bt speakers are super surprising for the money. Can't go wrong with them
The new ones r trash imo
Hey bro, when are you introducing the jbl Extreme 4?
when will you do a review on JBL xtreme 4?
It isn't out in the US I think because no one in the US did a review on it
It's out only in germany right now

Nice comparison video!!
Will you please test out the new Sennheiser Momentum TWS 4 and compare them to the 3's??

Bass isn’t everything man.
@@d.g.o4410 who said it was everything?
Bro just blows hard on jbl
@@waynedexter Nobody, I just wanted to state a fact. That’s all :)
Its only 2 majoritys mind, bass and clarity.
How can you compare two speakers without making emphatic statement on Bass
which deep bass?
Am trying to enjoy your vids but the merch pop ups are so distracting
i hate cheezy pop

The fact that he said the charge 5 sounded more open blew my dam mind so I guess so charge 5 got spacial Audio

He should of said it sounded clearer or brighter but a mono speaker sounding “open” makes no dam sense
@@687donny but two speakers that are 3 inches apart having surround sound does🤨?
For me the x500 sounded better, fuller and cleaner, the build quality shines as well compared to the JBL which looks like a kids toy
the jbl sounded inferior to the soundcore- but that is just my ears .
x500 sounds better
Jbl all the way 💃 🕺

I would buy it in a heartbeat if it's available here in India at Canadian price..
Stop saying “frontward firing woofer” it always sounds odd when you say it lol
Totally disagree re the sound. I thought that the X500 had better articulation and bass. I didn't like the JBL at all.

You can’t tame the brightness by adjusting the EQ?
