I appreciate how before every major action taken by the Enterprise, Kirk would always address the whole crew, notifying them of what was about to happen and often offering reassurance and encouragement. It's one thing I really miss from the later captains.
In the 23rd and 24th centuries they create inertial dampers which are futuristic "seatbelts". Presumably this is so there were no straps hanging down from the chairs.

Because Picard didn’t think much of Kirk’s experiences. Remember, in “The Naked Now”, when Crusher told Picard about Kirk’s experience at Psi 2000, Picard scoffed “decades ago, light years away”.
At a convention in Boston I'd heard Mr. Doohan speaking in his natural voice free of the Scots accent. It was quite a revelation. He also did the voice of Sargon in the episode "Return to Tomorrow."
I suppose if microscopic tardigrades can exist in the vacuum of space this thing can. No water, extreme cold, massive x-ray radiation, gamma radiation, etc., but hey why not?
