Great movie. Class touch of Bharathettan. Great performances from everyone. Striking similarity with Pranamam from the same team of Bharathettan-Mammookka. Both are hard hitting tales of two social evils and its sad consequences.

Except their first movie Ente Upasana, Bharathan-Mammootty team has always united for some real gems. Needless to say, Amaram is right there among the greatests of Malayalam cinema. An epitome of cinematic perfection. Padheyam and Kathodu Kathoram are also classics of their decades. The beautiful depiction of paternal bonds developed by the protagonists towards the children, one being a blood bond and the other written by destiny. Pranamam and Ithiripoove Chuvanna Poove are great for their beautiful adaptation of two socially relevant themes into cinematic form. Both movie would leave an impact with it's hard hitting message and the saddening destiny of characters. Ente Upasana is the only movie which might fail the test of time for the regressiveness of it's storyline in the changed mentality of society. But still the movie was good for it's time and the evergreen Mammootty-Suhasini pair was a delight.

80 കളിലെ പടങ്ങളുടെ ക്ലൈമാക്സ് കോമഡി ആണ്. നോർമൽ ആയ് പൊയ്ക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന പല പടങ്ങളുടെയും അവസാനം വമ്പൻ ട്രാജഡി ആക്കും. ചിലപ്പോൾ ഒക്കെ ചിന്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്, ഇപ്പോ എല്ലാം നോർമൽ ആയി ഇനി 5 മിനിട്ട് എ ബാക്കിയിള്ളൂ ഇവന്മാർ ഇത് ഇനി എങ്ങനെ കൊളം ആക്കും എന്ന്, പക്ഷേ ലാസ്റ് 5 മിനിട്ട് മതി ബോംബ് പൊട്ടും പോലെ ഒരു ബന്ധവും ഇല്ലാതെ ട്രാജഡി ആക്കും അവർ.
