I’ve said this on stream, but for the smoke area in the mothership, you can simply eat a sandwich, and the smoke will do no knockback, but sadly still damage you.
One more tip: when fighting the final boss, boss melting magic works extremely well as he is entering his second and final phases for some free and easy damage! In his final phase, as he stands there for a second, it will give you enough time to deal a good chunk of his health.
In the starting of the game, you could go onto the wooden bridge where the beefy Barbarian and the other barbarians holding the princess, When the box of 3 barbarians come out you can onto that bridge and then they won’t be able to do any damage to you, but they can use arrows it takes a few tries to make it perfect
You want tips? I got tips. 1. In the pipistrello boss, you can move to the top left corner and he won’t fly and just keep “licking” you until you get hit. 2. You don’t have to free the princess and kiss her to beat the level. You only have to beat the boss. 3. You can trade weapons with your friends that are worse than you by going to home castle and switching weapons with the pitchfork so they can get the weapon. 4. Holding and releasing the boomerang on a door where you have to hit it over and over again can wreck it! 5. (Callback) If you want items, you should go to tall grass fields, as it has the most swords and pets out of every level. 6. Elemental ice magic does less damage to iceskimos, elemental fire magic does less damage to lava demons and vice versa. Poison damage does less damage to skeletons. 7. You can freeze some bosses that are the normal enemy size. (Ex: Conehead Groom, Necro, Bear boss, etc.) 8. If you have the shovel on a different character and play as a new one, you can get the pet Mr. Buddy without even leaving the first room in home castle! 9. In flowery field, the king may sometimes get off his horse for you to ride! This horse doesn’t show up anywhere else in story mode. 10. If you reeeeally hate killing enemies (for some reason) you don’t have to kill the first wave of ninjas in pirate ship for the second wave to show up. BONUS TIPS: In the 34th level of Castle Crashers, Wizard Castle Takeoff, there’s a framerule of 42 frames where if you spam at the edge of the screen enough times you can fly off screen and skip the remainder of the level. To learn more about this (I can’t explain it all in this comment…) search up Castle Crashers 34th Rule! 12. Frongus is bad.
Thanks for the tips. This will help with my playthrough of insane mod. Also another tip is that you can "fly" through the air using the bow, extending forward jumps, zigzag and dodging.
I've been getting back into this game with my bf lately. It's nice to see new castle crashers videos since I last was super into it. Good stuff mate, lovin the content!
6. You can this one step further by eating a sandwich before you get hit in the ground, then instead of wiggling out, wait for the timer to end. This will cause you to glitch out of the ground and you will be invincible to the groom's attacks and cyclops stomp attack!
It tricks the game into thinking you're still in the ground. This works on barbarian boss's slam attack and sock puppet/dragon, but strangely doesn't seem to work on the ufo
some good tips, quite impressed honestly. i couple things i would like to point out though, painter is only the fastest if you have the drill combo unlocked or you have saws with a lot of magic upgraded. not any other magic. other than those two circumstances barbarian boss is still the fastest, and you should always use golden whale if you have it for money grinding either boss. the beefies grabbing you out of the air is a bit more complex than just them getting hit, and there are a couple ways they can break out of that state. ill put a more detailed explanation below this but the tldr of it is beefies can only enter the "flinched" state (able to grab you out of the air) after getting hit by an attack that would knock over a non beefy enemy, so things like ice magic, certain ground melee, pink knights rainbow or the boomerang wont cause them to be able to do that if they havent gotten hit by another attack other than those already. a beefy can reset their ability to grab you out of the air if they enter the idle animation and arent a zig zag neutral enemy. long explanation: alright, so a beefy gets "flinched" when they are hit by an attack that knocks over a normal enemy. if the attack doesnt knock over a normal enemy (like the boomerang, pink knights splash, ice, certain ground melee) it will still play the flinch animation but they wont be in a flinched state, unless its certain ground melee in which case they will just walk through it. during a flinched state beefies can grab you from any height, and if your on the ground they will grab you when your in range of a throw if they were a non beefy enemy. beefies can only be unflinched if they enter the idle animation or they throw you, but the idle animation they do if they move in diagonals doesnt count unless your in tek above them. the easiest ways to unflinch them are to fly above them in tek, make them an assist 1 enemy or use a sandwich above them and immediately start beefy cycling
the cyclops skip is something me and my brother figured out when we were like 9 and 10, but I was never patient enough to wait for the entire phase to end, so I don't think I ever successfully pulled it off
Bro really brought out the ladder strat and PP ground strat and thought we wouldn't know. kidding, but I'm actually surprised he didn't talk about the enhanced slowfall fly combo used in the floor is lava stream.
Idk if you've covered this one but beefy players don't suffer stun from certain environment damage such as the crushers in the mechanic castle and the vents in the space ship making it possible to just run through those and tank them with potions
Can I add, I find going up and down the ladder risky, when you try go up you can often get hit. Just go up a ladder do the DMG then start going down and go back up to make it super safe
My Castle Crashers 2 storyline: Necromancer brings back himself and the wizard causing the wizard to be his assistant. Causing the necromancer to have his own skeleton form. Which then makes the king send his best knights (the main 4) to defeat him. Since this is after the wizard was defeated, the 4 main knights have new, stronger forms to defeat all of the new creatures and enemies the Necromancer has created. They travel to the Necromancer’s kingdom and defeat many bosses and enemies along the way. During the adventure to the kingdom, they fight against the Necromancer but he is too powerful causing the knights to get defeated. The knights are determined to get stronger and fight more enemies to get on the level of the Necromancer. Before the final boss fight against the Necromancer they find 4 crystals in a cave. There is a blue, red, orange, and green crystal. Each knight touches their crystal and suddenly gets a bigger and stronger form that basically enhances all of their powers. Upgrading their defense, agility, strength, and magic stats dramatically. They also get new elemental abilities that do a lot of damage. Even though the crystals enhanced their powers the Necromancer knew that they got a power up because he has secretly been spying on them throughout the whole adventure. Once they get to the kingdom there are many new stronger enemies. Once they defeat the enemies they get to the Necromancer’s throne where he is sitting waiting for them. As they approach the Necromancer he orders the wizard to attack the knights first. Near the end of the fight with the wizard the Necromancer betrays him and takes his power. This then gives the Necromancer his new final boss form. He begins to fight the knights but through outsmarting the Necromancer they eventually defeat and kill him thus taking the kings crystal back. They head back to their home kingdom to give the crystal back and are seen as heroes once again. But before the game ends everyone hears rattling coming from inside the crystal. It rattles more and more before eventually cracking open. Everyone stares at it and wonders what will come out of it before being met with the big behemoth chicken inside. The game then cuts to the end and the credits.

Useless tip: So we all know the scene in the final level where you jump up and dodge rocks right? Now i don't know if people knew about this already but you can see little parts of a rock thats about to fall. I know this isn't useful at all the rocks don't do that much damage anyways.

idk what i am doing wrong in the fly combo but my character does the smack down attack instead of the spinning one, or sometimes, he just does nothing, like if i didnt pressed the heavy attack, even tho im spamming the heavy attack button, could someone tell me why?
Helo sr.pinguinito if you use the smack down attack this means you are not pressing the second heavy attack fast enough. The attack won't work sometimes if you are to close to the ground. To get better at this I recommend starting the combo with a magic jump or using sherbert. Also the combo is mostly muscle memory, so just keep practicing and will eventually master it. One more thing: if you use the double jump combo then start the levitation combo this will put you in slow fall which will help doing the combo. Good luck!
I got a great video idea There's probably a better place the comment section but still Can you beat Castle Crashers with only tornado The two characters who do that are the Bear and Saracen
The corn boss has a similar glitch as when level 256 was a thing and people wanted to level up fast. Get the corn boss in the right position in the bottom left of the screen (If youre familliar with the level 256 glitch you know what spot im talking about) and then simply run a little bit and hit heavy, puts you in a never ending roll constantly hitting the corn boss in the process, great way to kill him especially on insane mode where his health is MASSIVE.
This one is widely known, but standing under the owl at the start of thieves forrest dramatically increases your chance of defeating troll mother on insane mode.
I'm surprised with the tips that you gave, most of them are really useful for important parts of the game making the tips and the whole video really valuable.

Most castle crashers players know that the painter is the best money farm, it would be impossible to make tip videos that haven't already been mentioned by other people, i give credit when i truly did not know a tip such as the crystal tip! :)

It does to knockback if it hits you enough times, but this is rarely an issue unless you're particularly unfortunate.

Getting hit by the Cyclops's casket and staying down can make the Cyclops go out of bounds which is a problem and can sometimes lead to a softlock
That only happens if you sit there for too long just get out when he’s going off screen

you need to be level 8 to unlock the combo but timing is very important, and if you go to high, it will force you down
