He's not wrong. A lot of that work can be done by the company or fans, both of which indies will struggle with. But the interactive aspects, that is maintaining engagement (by being interesting or entertaining all the time for hours), handling attention, fan interactions, schedules (like any job), burnout, ideas for streams (although most livers have a general pattern of what they do) are not things the company can always deal with for you. I don't know enough about the management since that's always behind slightly closed doors and what I learn of it online is almost always heavily biased, but having a company behind you to take some of that load off your back and allow enjoy the community within it sounds nice
