Yuck Live In Concert: NPR Music At SXSW 2011

- Yuck doesn't worry much about first impressions: Short of calling a band "We're Terrible," it's hard to imagine a name riper for dismissal. On stage, though, this is a remarkably assured young riser. Standing out for reasons far greater than just drummer Jonny Rogoff's heroically gigantic Afro, Yuck captures the frayed noise and hooky, guitar-driven melodies of '90s rock, even though its members, at 20, are too young to have experienced it firsthand.
Recorded live from Stubb's in Austin, Texas on March 16, 2011. Follow all of NPR Music's SXSW 2011 coverage at www.npr.org/sxsw. - เพลง

I love yuck. There album helps me do the gardening properly. Awesome performance!
For those wondering what they were talking about with the band using Yu(c)k for a while, When a song is by Yuck it is this band, when it is by Yu(c)k it is their piano based side project, which later turned into Oupa.
this live version of "suck" is the most beautiful sound that ever graced my ears ...
Reminded me of the start of a smashing pumpkins song
hace 10 años me topé con esta banda, y ahora la vuelvo a encontrar :)
😭I miss this band, it's a shame it's over
simply great to see some young kids with so much input in these time and age.
"We are Yuck and this songs called "Suck." And they rhyme...together." Awesome performance. :)
Como se extraña el viejo yuck!!
un comentario en español en una cancion de yuck o:

Amazing set. Wish I was there
Oh man this makes me even more excited for their show I'm going to later this month!
I was standing front row for this show. Was a huge gem of a show. Went for James Blake, ended up falling in love with Yuck. Us @43:11.

Mehdi Hallouche 🚀
The Wall is an important song
explain why?
yeah true
Indeed
Here I am, 6 years later, about to bust out crying over this song.
altisimo reci
god, "suck" is heartbreaking every time and then you get the catharsis w/ "rubber"
Epic drummer 'fro

For sure.
Gaffer tape over the controls in contrasting colours so it shows up as much as possible bcz all the cool guitarist tape up their switches! ;)

"STEPHEN THOMPSON YEAH!!!!" cracked me up.
2020
very cool, I wish I could stand up like that infront of so many people and just do my stuff without negation and too much prorfility.
Operation/Shookdown epic
hearing a sonic youth influence maybe? (when they left noise and went pop!) I like them.
So simple, brilliantly executed. Still come back to this album. That copy however in the description is terrible, who wrote that? Ripe for dismissal??
I like how both guitarists covered their upper switches with tape.
kinda need to with jazzs and jags
i wish they still played suck live
starts at 4:30
Wow I've seen livelier crowds at a Mormon Tabernacle Choir concert
主唱挺帅的
KEANE for 2012!!
@SnazzyGoodTimes - "Gimme Shelter" by The Stones...
Yuck yeah!
WOW...I am truly impressed with what I just saw. To you people talking about stage presence and the audience...ya know. Nahhh, I'm not even gonna go there other than I will say that this band projects SO much true passion and humility. It's beautiful. PEACE!
I was underwhelmed by this band until this show. After watching this I am a fan.
21:50 MOTIVATION
Also, I don't think I've ever seen their lead singer without a denim jacket man.
Whats the song that plays before they perform?
Blumberg's voice
isso é muito shoegaze cara
XDDD
if you don't like the music, then don't watch it. you don't need to make rude immature comments
the guy is not with the band anymore? :c
search for cajun dance party there might be a video of him without a denim jacket
@TheStolenPanties I imagine he's a quirky fellow from his looks, but I assume his staring and weirdness is probably nerves. A lot of people attend sxsm, not to mention it's a huge festival in another country for them, and it was being videotaped and recorded for npr
This band Is me
You begin at 4:30.
its the style of music shoe gazer
They just weren’t Yuck without Daniel
what is the song of the minute 27 ?
suck
holy shit that singer looks like bob dylan.
21:33
Thanks 😊
great vid makes u feel like your actually there. top band, sucks that daniel left his new stuff is just as good. shame they had to play to a bunch of zombies who didn't get the music.
i went to sxsw, great experience. this guy is confused about smith wests being the most hyped artist at the festival....definetely not. people were way more psyched about odd future and james blake. not to mention antlers, dead milkmen reunion, and toro y moi. any way....great show
is that bobby d?
everybody here keeps complaining about the crowd.cant we audience just enjoy the music without saying something lol
中国噪音青年也爱你们
@SnagglePusMusic hahahah then i geuss everyone who went to south by is the same. nice name too
dude, it is MAX BLOOM, the guitarist i.e. The leadguy is Daniel Blumberg... just saying...
daniel is gone... that's fucked up...
more like "Pwn"
I think somebody is not in on the joke...
It's weird 'cos I feel agreeing. But then what would you have them be doing? Mosh? Rave? Hip hop? Break dance? These aren't exactly dance tunes, nor are they sing-along Free Bird-style, either.
...and the crowd goes mild.
looks like bob dylan!
As great as they are and as wonderful as the music is, I honestly think they need to learn how to use the power stance lol.
guitarist looks like james mercer but with puffier hair.
the band is mild
Sounds like Dinosaur Jr , pavement , Sonic Youth , Modest Mouse. Don't get all the hype.
No fun when the band breaks up.
Yuck!
They make good music but they have no stage presence, I really dig them though
Wow they have absolutely no charisma at all
guitars too quiet
