I found the pencil exercise great!! I have started doing this during the day while doing other things just by activating those lip muscles without the pencil and I can feel the muscles moving underneath my lips. I can really feel I will get benefit from this. I also totally agree that the way we hold our faces during the day is a big contributor to our lines and wrinkles. Although it’s hard I am now consciously trying to be aware of the way I am holding my face during the day so that my mouth and also in my case my frown lines too are more relaxed. Thank you polina ❤
Wonderful feedback Amanda 🌸 that's one of the benefits of doing face yoga - to gain awareness of our face muscles so we know when we tense them and stop before we get to that point ! Awareness is everything 😀 and yes the pencil exercise is great as doesn't require using both hands and can be done even when driving, to help with toning the mouth and the lips, great work on fitting that into your daily routine !💆♀
Thank you for your feedback Emma-Jane 🌸 I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the massage 💆♀it's definitely good for boosting blood flow to the lips and mouth, hence all the tingling !😀
Hello Polina as usual thank you for this tutorial. My lips feel alive for the very first time. My lips are uneven. The left side is fuller than the right side. It is a family trait that becomes more noticeable as we age. Is there an exercise that can help to lift and balance the right side to match the left side.
Thank you for leaving your feedback, much appreciated and glad you enjoyed the video !💆♀🌸 this one does make the lips work 😅 In case of unevenness I would suggest working with both lips equally in the hope that overtime it will help to bring everything into balance 😀 massage is very good at boosting blood flow so massaging daily is going to be beneficial 💟
Thanks for your suggestion, I can definitely add that to my list !😀 what exactly would you like to see that would make a difference to your face and your morning routine?🌷
@ thank you Polina for the reply. I would love to have a 10-15 minutes morning routine from forehead to neck if possible. Thank you again. I really love your sharing. I can see the improvements on my face especially my lip volume.
Hello! Polina, I really struggled to make my lips connect without adding more wrinkles for the pencil exercise. My entire upper lip creases toward the center when applying the pencil image. So I released pressure all the way until there was almost no pressure at all - just intention. I suppose intention is a perfectly good place to begin, since my lips are "out of shape." 😄 Also- for some reason, after I figured out how to connect without more creases, a slip of paper seemed to come out rather than a pencil. Why a pencil, anyway? Maybe I should try an actual pencil to understand the sensation. This lesson is very challenging for me to do correctly, but I do feel that my lips are more plump afterward. ..... And speaking of plump, your skin is like my 2 year old niece's cheeks! Is that because you've been doing these exercises for a long time? Or is it because you're magical? 😇
Hi Laura, thank you for your comments🌸 and your wonderful suggestion for modifying the exercise to minimise the lip lines that might form as a result of that imaginary pencil holding! Intention is good too, as long as you feel the muscles around the mouth engaged - think less is more :) Slip of paper works just as well, again if you feel the lips and mouth engaged then it's working 😀 You can try hold a real pencil just to compare how it feels with the weight and shape. As for my skin, well thank you for your generous compliments🌷 as we know, the 2 years old skin is just gorgeous! I'm not sure I fully fit into that category 😅but definitely regular face yoga does help with the collagen in the skin🌼And I truly believe that we are ALL MAGICAL✨💚
Oh definitely Shelley 🌸 you're starting at a good time when you can still make positive changes 💆♀think more smoothing of wrinkles rather than getting rid of them - they are our signs of a well lived life! 😀 Combining massage and strengthening daily is the best formula 🌷 good luck and let me know how you get on !✨
