- Best viewed in 60 fps. I'm player 1 and Mark is player 2. The intro is at the end of the video. 24:43 Continues were used at stages 4 and 5. An overclock setting was used to prevent slowdown. While I did know about the jump glitch, I chose not to use it.

As a kid I use to think that slowing down was a feature among these games 😂

That's exactly what I thought.
lol same, I have no clue that it was actually lag.
I faced one lag at the beginning when the players jump to shoot the grenadier. And i thought it was some cinematic slow-motion. But it was lag at the correct time.

finally someone could solve the issue with the slowdown.
When 1 player: So tough!
When 2 player + no lag: Total carnage!
While jumping if you pause the game and keep on pressing the jump button while resuming play, the characters continue jumping higher without falling down. That's how we used to clear the third level without losing a life.
Thanks, but I was aware of the trick. I mainly didn't do it because it can be considered a bit cheap.

@@HateMachine103190 I mean contra series in general, I didn't see any in depth lore in that franchise, yes I played the Japanese version of the game too as well but that also isn't enough, they didn't tell who actually is red falcon and what are their motives, no bill rizer or lance bean character story, what kind of person they are outside of the military etc.etc. none, all I know is shoot the bad guys, kill the final boss, that's it, done

Using the emulator FCEUX, you would go to config>timing and check "overclocking (old PPU only)". I set post-render and vblank scanlines to 500, although that isn't necessarily the best setting. I haven't checked the latest version of FCEUX, but I think any recent version of that emulator has this option.

I only know for sure that it works with FCEUX on Windows. I believe there may also be options for Android, but I'm not familiar with that.

I would be surprised if it didn't also work for that game. Overclocking has worked for almost every game I've tried it with.
@@arronmunroeIt definitely made it better, but I still had some minor slowdowns.
You did have config>ppu>old ppu? Did you have it set to 480 VBlank scanlines? I can't say if that number should be higher, or if post render scanlines should be used instead. I haven't played through Street Fighter 2010, so I can't say for sure it's 100% perfect with overclock.

This is the setting in FCEUX. I don't recall what number I used, but 480 like in this picture probably would be good enough. You would also need to use the option config>PPU>old PPU.

How fast is the cpu running to get it smooth???
The NES overclock thing is a little weird and I don't know offhand what percentage overclock it could be compared to. It was set to around 400 extra scanlines.

I could have sworn I played this video game on my Sega Genesis back in 1993 or 1994.
The Genesis does have Contra Hard Corps, not that it's too similar to this one.

I remember playing this video game and I always wondered what it was called as I was too young 5 or 6 years old to read and remember the title. I looked for it before and never could find it. I just remember it played like contra and had characters to choose from. I can clearly remember the first level because it was Soo tough and had those moving belts and I remember one character had bazookas. This is the first time I saw this contra title with gameplay online. I saw and played almost all the other contra titles.

Hey do to play online multiplayer?
There are multiple ways to do it, such as with Retroarch, Nestopia, Jnes, Parsec and Mednafen. My choice for netplay is with the emulator Mednafen, although it's not the easiest emulator to set up, and is easier to use with a GUI, such as Mednaffe.
