True. Not every game they've picked up is a gem but this collection definitely surprised me.
Really great selection of games on this cartridge. And I have not played or heard of any of them. This is another reason why I like the offerings from Piko and Gaelco in particular. They have such an obscure selection of games and most of them are fantastic. As much as I love modern day consoles. I just love that the evercade has been putting out mostly obscure games. They have certainly introduced me to a lot of games and studios I probably would never of heard of.
I totally agree there.. certainly would never have played these games without Blaze shedding new light on them.
This looks like a pretty cool cart. A lot of interesting and fun looking titles and Steel Force looks great to me! I need to give that one a shot.
From my understanding the sequel to the 2 fighters is actually worse than the original. I still can't wait to try them. 😮
Note to self: ONLY play these fighting games in 2-player mode on the VS...

I have so many questions about that first game. I really hope the manual gives us more detail beyond which button does what.

This collection looks great. Never played any of these games before. Really looking forward to playing these hidden gems. If we get a Piko Interactive Collection 4 (red label) then It would be great to see Street Racer which would be 4 player on Evercade VS and Top Racer 3000. Shame that they didn’t appear on the Piko Interactive Collection 3.

The high difficulty spikes on some of these games rememebered me one feature that Blaze needs to add to their arcade roms: the possibility to enter into the BIOS of the game to change difficulty and many other things. Some arcade games of that era are absolutely unplayable at the standard difficulty level and the logic about the need of coins isn't suitable anymore, so the team needs to add this option. Not just IMHO. 😃
It's the dip switches we need, they are being added but might be a while.
I'm playing Steel Force right now and this is a fun game! The timer keeps kicking my butt as I don't seem like I can go fast enough (or maybe the key is to not explore so much and stay more on the exit path) but the action is fun and this is my kind of arcade game. I'm playing using an arcade joystick and I can actually see this game playing better with a controller and D pad as I think its only flaw is there's no way to lock your shot and strafe.
It's great fun.. but yeah I don't think it's a game to fart about with lol
Really looking forward to this cartridge, I wasn’t aware PIKO did arcade games , do you emulate these via steam deck or Pi ?
So technically speaking Piko don't do Arcade games.. they've only purchased the licenses for old games. You can play these on anything really. Steam Deck is brilliant practically for most stuff. Though this video the games are running on the Super Console X3 Pro.

They definitely need to lower the difficulty on Body Blows for sure.
It's an ok cart if you plan on collecting. If you just want to play for fun, there are better options. I got it because love beat em ups I wanted to play Legend of Silk Road the game looks great but the game play could have been better, a little too repetitive and could use some better music. You are better off playing street fighter than any of the two fighting games on this cart.

The issue with fighting games outside of SF2, NO and the NEO GEO ones is that the balance can be really hard to get right. A good fighting game should ease you in with the first fight being pretty easy and get progressively harder. Arcade Alien Breed (whatever it was called) looks really good. Would you say it's a faster paced or more intense Alien Breed? Beat up looks good too. I'm glad you reviewed this as wasn't too sure about it but think I will get it now
Lol you mean Steel Force.. you it's more frantic and intense than Alien Breed. As much as they are similar.. they really are quite different.
Looking forward to this one,never heard of any of these games which is one of the great things about Evercade Can't wait to show my misses the farting game she'll love it ha.

@Crazy Burger hearing what you saying about beat em ups on this cart wether it's a age thing very well could be I beat original street fighter 2 on hardest level on my SNES in 90s I bought a SNES mini last year I struggle on easy level know
I honestly think it is. I completed SF2 on MD with every character. I just can't play Hyper Fighting. I can't beat the first fight. I've definitely got worse at certain game types over the years.

... Because in Dragon Master a character is named "Jedi Ryan", the most forum-alias name in history! I can definitely see myself having some fun with these. And Steel Force looks legitimately good! Like a more arcadey Alien Breed. Lots of intriguing stuff in here.
I was searching for the word to describe what I felt about the games on this cart. But you beat me too it: “Odd?!” Never played any of these games, or heard of them. But they do as a whole remind me of the GAELCO collections? 🤔. It’s true what your saying about how BLAZE collates these carts. With “hidden gems” that you never heard of. Which is part of the fun of the Evercade! 🙂. Not sure it’s quite up there though? I thought is may be quite good at first. But being let down by that Tennis game. AGAIN?! Still not quite there?! Really breaks the illusion of what ever appeal it may have had. I don’t know. Perhaps it’s an acquired taste thing? An odd one indeed?! 🤔
Lol not sure how high I'd rate the cart.. I'd sat it's certainly in the top half of the better carts. Some real odd weird games. I did enjoy them though. Ultimate Tennis isn't too bad. It's playable. You can't say that about Jimmy Connors or All star Tennis.

The difficulty level of many of the arcade really is problematic. They are set this way to guzzle coins and there is no need for it when you just want a fair, relaxing experience at home. The sooner they introduce dip switches the better.
I played a couple of these via emulation. BurglarX...wtf is all I can say. Dragon Master looks nice but played horribly, could be partially the emulation though. Fancyworld made me think poundland tumblepop. Diverboy seemed cool though.

Good video, but the gameplay for each title lasts waayyy too long. This would have been much better at 15-20 minutes.
Fine line.. I have plenty that want to see more. Chapters added so you can skip.

Awesome. I try to show the first couple of levels so folks can make their mind if they want to buy it or not. Blaze trailer is ridiculously short.. which is one of the reasons I started doing these vids plus I'm curious myself what the games play like. I do sometimes make the videos too long.
More games need aggressive farting!!!!
