I absolutely love playing Fancy World and I have no idea why.

Bought it for Steel Force! Love the arcade high-speed-feeling with cool music.
Purple have a nice feeling to it...

I got the feeling steel force started out more alien breed like and was rejigged for arcades. The various things you mention sort of indicate cut aspects that would have slowed down the gameplay.
Totally agree about Silkroads visuals, it looks like GBA shovelware, but I was very surprised at how well it plays.

Haven’t bought this yet, but not sure it makes the basket - only the top two games grab me and they don’t look sufficiently good to justify the investment. That’s why these reviews are helpful, thanks Crow 🙏

Yeah... I believe this is my least favorite of the Arcade collections.

I would love a great tennis game. Oh well, there's always the gold standard of Virtua Tennis on the Dreamcast!

With two player simultaneous co-op, I would give _Fancy World_ a higher rating, but (surprise?) a much *lower* rating to _Magic Purple._ The diving game, also… I mean… it deserves to be mentioned that it's designed for two player co-op (whether or not that would add a point to its score). Silk Road is a clear case of "two players or none at all" -like so many games in that genre. Overall, I'd give the cartridge a higher rating because (1) so much of works well with two players (assuming you've got an Evercade VS, _not_ a handheld) and (2) these are games you *probably* can't already play on some other device in your household (whereas a collection of NES ROMs… well… you probably already have options). *Conflict of interest disclaimer:* I own this cartridge, but I have spent less time playing all of the games on it (combined) than I've spent watching this one video from Crow.

I really like Legend of Silk Road and the visuals are kinda weird but it doesn't ruin the experience for me. Thanks for the video!

Nice video. My 6 year old boy loves Steel Force. Also enjoyed Legend of Silk Road, Diver Boy, Magic Purple, and even Ultimate Tennis lol
Wish the fighting games were better though.

I bought this mostly because I have weird curiosity for Street Fighter II -clones, and Steel Force seemed fun. Even I have a hard time enjoying the fighting games, tried to make use of the spirit gauge but can´t beat a single opponent! I hope an easier setting can be accessed in the future... Still, Jedi Ryan may be the best name for a character ever.
I´m with you about the rest I´ve played, they are generally not great. I do find the graphics of Silk Road to have some outdated charm though!

I'll let you in on a little secret. I had to use several save states per match in order to play my way through Dragon Master. There was a lot of editing with that footage.

@@CrowContinuum I´m sort of okay at fighting games, so Dragon Master feels like an uphill battle! Save states makes sense to get the footage 👌

Hopefully the purchase of this cart can be justified by unlocking hidden games when it's combined with other carts. _HOPEFULLY._ ;-)

Yeah, Piko strikes again with another underwhelming cart and Piko4 doesn't look very different. I really did enjoy Steel Force and had the same thought in that it's Alien Breed with all the annoying parts taken out. But still, not a very good cart.

Hmmm... It looks a bit like a 32-bit Action 52.

Yeah, some of those obscure Japanese arcade games were just weird and quarter munchers. I feel some may have been rushed out to go make money. Thanks for the video, Crow.

The funny thing though is that none of these games are actually from Japan. Ultimate Tennis is from Belgium, Steel Force and Diver Boy are from Italy, and the rest are from South Korea.

Usual Evercade form as usual it would seem. One or two interesting games on each cart collection, bill filler for the rest. One of the least interesting releases so far so will be giving this a miss.
