This list includes some of my all-time favorites! Kiki Kaikai, Don Doko Don, New Zealand Story, Fairyland Story, Bubble Bobble, Puzzle Bobble, and Liquid Kids? That's an incredible lineup, I'm here all day for it. The Capcom lineup isn't *bad* by any means, but the Taito version is the obvious choice here.
Oh yeah agree, I'm definitely more interested in Taito.
Cadash is in English!? Damn, and we still didnt get a bloody English version for the Egret II Mini not even with the latest firmware update. Still I adore the Egret regardless :)
I preordered both. I don't have an Evercade. I see them as cheaper Evercades.
Nice, I think the target audience is most certainly those not on board with evercade.
Space Invaders 91 actually looks really cool, and it doesn't seem to be available anywhere else besides original hardware. I'm glad that they're including it and not just the original game.
Not going to lie Burger. I’m kind of annoyed as Taito was top of my wishlist for arcade carts. I’m guessing this is the same baked in only deal they had with the Capcom EXP games. That didn’t sit well with VS only owners (or OG handheld) I would much prefer carts for my EXP than keep buying yet another handheld if this model is the future for the trickier licenses going forward. Konami, sega, SNK super pocket anyone?!
I know, I agree..this was one I expected as a cart. Really surprised its not. It might still happen but I doubt it. Agree on the last parts too.. Konami, Sega might be looking at more super pockets. Could start to get a bit silly down the line having to purchase loads of these.
When dealing with some of these companies, this is just the way some of them will allow it
I agree. I didn't buy the Capcom system, not Duke Nukem and I won't buy these mini handhelds. If they never release any of these games on carts, so be it. They just won't get my money.
@@esperagobut Duke is carts tho
@@RT-bt5ql Yes, I had forgotten that it wasn't limited to the limited edition console release.
At the beach, but will watch when I get back. Excited!
Took you long enough. Haha
Lol.. sorry.. away anywhere nice?

Welcome back Crazy Burger! Looks like you had a great time! 😊. I think these are more for the collector in you?! But that TAITO one is very appealing! Due to the games on it that we haven’t got yet on Evercade. A mix of classic and new discovery?! I think it is personally not worth it though, if you are already an owner of an Evercade. We have the CAPCOM one already, with more besides! But like you say if we get that TAITO games as a cart. It will be a great cart! I’m definitely interested in buying it in that way! 👍. I think we might get it though, because if you can use Evercade carts on it. Then SURELY the door should swing the other way?! 🤔. But the way the player runs off the pitch in FOOTBALL CHAMP. To “Hi-five!” the ENTIRE crowd is simply HILARIOUS! LOL! 🤣
Lol cheers mate.. yeah capcom probably not worth it if you have an EXP but Taito definitely.. I'm just concerned how many of these I'll need to buy.. yeah Football Champ is a bit different. I love that you can kick and punch your opponents and the ref quite often ignores it.. or the ref can get flattened and lie out for a bit. Its a fun game. 20p well spent in the arcades!
I really hope Blaze's plan is to release refreshed Evercade EXP's with new colour schemes and new inbuilt games. I've been holding out for an EXP refresh because I still hear of old stock with the initial release issues still being sold and it's hard to tell if you're getting one with the fixes or not. I would be so up for an EXP with the Taito colour scheme and these games included but if that doesn't materialise I'll most likely pick up a Taito Edition Super Pocket. Although I think I already have a couple of those games on my Switch Taito Milestones cart and Milestones 2 collection is due out soon :-) Keep up the awesome work #LoveTaito
Yeah its difficult to say, maybe if you order from funstock you would get a newer unit. Mightve beeb a better idea for Blaze to bring out a different colour EXP with Taito included. Not sure how many super pockets are planned but it might get silly if there's lots.
I would rather have a Taito cart but since there is no chance of that at present I am really excited for this device. A smaller, cheaper, Evercade-compatible handheld sounds great to me for travel.
Also this is a killer lineup for $60. I would buy a Taito cart with this lineup for $60 easily.
Look at what the new MyArcade handhelds include for $40. It’s embarrassing.
@@KeenRetroGames Agree it is a decent selection of games. Certainly looking forward to trying these out.
Taito version a no brainer purchase as some quality titles and it’s £50! Capcom not so much if your already invested in an exp.
Looks great but I already have an Evercade. A Taito carriage would be the obvious choice for me. I need to safe my money for food and clothes too....
No man forget that. Just buy these cool toys
Space Invaders ‘91 is awesome. Everyone should play it.
Any idea what was different to Space Invaders 90? I do recall around this time getting Super Space Invaders on c64 from Domark. Was pretty good.
@@CrazyBurger90 release in Japan, 91 elsewhere
@@KeenRetroGames ah right..makes sense. Looked like the same game to me.
Just picked mine up. The fact that they're arcade roms(Aside from SSI91) the attractive design and the lovely IPS screen made this a very attractive package. Love the fact that you can buy Evercade carts to add more games. How did you capture the footage 🤔MAME?
Yeah just played mainly on MAME
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. Would you say it’s worth playing yourself also?
Yeah definitely. I'm thinking this'll be an easier way to play Evercade carts on the go..
I do like Rastan mainly because I have nostalgia for the Sega Master System version, which was a fairly impressive port for the system. The Taito arcade game that would have made me a lot more likely to buy one of these should I see it in stores would be Chase H.Q. which never really got a good home port back in the day but perhaps superscalers are just too demanding for the hardware (or there could be licensing issue with some of the cars although they could just modify the sprites like Sega does with OutRun on modern consoles).
I can also have pipe dreams about there being Taito's arcade train simulator Densha de Go! (Let's Go By Train!) on Evercade but, if it was even technically possible for the Evercade to run it (with modified controls), it would probably have to be its own cartridge.
I don't yet have an Evercade, I would consider buying a Super Pocket as a low-cost "alternative" but I'd be more likely to get the Capcom version over the Taito version just based on the libraries on each unit. Of course, if they were to announce a Sega version with a few arcade superscalers on board, that would be the one I'd go for.
I'm actually surprised Chase HQ isn't there.. if I recall the Spectrum version was pretty good. I think the Super Pocket will certainly bring a few on board that dont own an Evercade. Its a good pr9ce point with the added ability of delving in Evercade carts if you desire any. I'm pretty sure there will be more Super Pockets. Perhaps Neo Geo, Sega.. Konami.. that would be my guess.
@@CrazyBurger I'm not saying the Chase H.Q. ports weren't fun but I want the fun with the arcade visuals. (I think Super Chase H.Q. on the SNES came closest to giving at least some of the arcade flash at home even if it's not a straight port.)
But it could just be that the Evercade (and its "Lite" version, the Super Pocket) simply can't emulate Superscalers properly, possibly the same reason Jaleco's Cisco Heat was missing from that collection.
@@SteveBrandon mmm maybe.. its definitely odd its missing.
Only missing here is Chase h.q.
I dont like this path of specific systems being the only way to play certain games, id rather they use that built in storage space to let us download games from any physical cart we own into the handheld; which would allow us to insert another cartridge and unlock bonus games if we match them correctly. THAT would make me want to get the handheld. For now Im not buying the handhelds because I cant support that path they are paving.
I've pre-ordered mine as it's almost throw away money. Been after a Taito collection for some time and it doesn't look like it's coming on a cart. But why no Chase HQ :(
Wow forgot about that one.. thats quite a big game to miss out isn't it. I was rubbish at Chase HQ in the arcade lol
@@CrazyBurger maybe there's some sort licensing issue with the cars. I don't believe they were at the time but manufacturers are more savvy about video games now. Would have also like to have seen Chase HQ 2: SCI too.
That's the one missing here chase hq
how to play don doko don on evercade system in multiplayer?
You can't.
It’s a shame the sequel to Elevator Action isn’t on there, it’s a bit of a corker.
Maybe that'll make the 2nd Taito Super Pocket! Lol who knows. Hard to tell what the plans are.
Pre orderd it because of new zealand story and space invaders
I forgot how tough New Zealand Story was..
@@CrazyBurger yeah. But so much fun
No Rainbow Islands?
Strangely no..
How long will it be till Capcom and Taito release an evercade cart ☹️☹️☹️
Ah probably never.
What's the build quality like, does it feel cheap and tacky. I'm annoyed to be honest. I bought the vs and exp with the intention of buying arcade carts. I was hoping for a Taito cartridge to play the likes of Rastan on it.
It seems lately the Evercade cartridges seem to be loads of obscure licences with some games being utter garbage. Where is Data East Arcade cartridge 2 for example. Apparently the last few cartridges will be indie games, which you can play on superior consoles anyway (Indie exclusives would be good).
Overall I have been pretty disappointed with Evercade lately and annoyed I have had to buy another console to play Taito games, if this is a trend going forward I will be disappointed.
Thanks for the video, all the best
Dunno what the super pocket is like, not released until Oct. Games in the video are running on emulation but won't differ too much. Be interesting to see how this Super Pocket will do.. as much as its not targeted at Evercade users.. I reckon a lot of folks will pick it up. But as you say, if this is the trend going forward.. I dont want to pay £50 everytime we can't get a publishers games on cart.
Not worth buying if you already have the games on the various collections or on other platforms.
The games are well known but how will they play on the actual kit? This is the big question.....
Yep, going to be interesting to see if this devices are worth it..
@CrazyBurger you know I'll be waiting on your usual top quality review!
@@simonpophale1250 lol 😆 cheers
It is decent value but I won't be buying it or any of these devices. I bought the Evercade already and expect them to support that not release another competing set of FOMO numbered handhelds. This is not a direction I am keen to support (similar to how I feel about NSO over the Virtual Console model with Nintendo) and so I won't be buying into it.
I'd also have concerns over the quality control on these things given how many issues there have been with the high end expensive devices like the EXP.
An EXP for £120 with capcom games built in or a smaller version for less than half price?.It's the end for the EXP and that's terrible business sense from Blaze. These new handhelds are a slap in the face for every EXP owner
They've certainly divided opinion. I'm honestly not sure what to make of them.
I’m an EXP owner and don’t see it as a slap in the face. Products constantly evolve and it doesn’t make my EXP worth any less to me. I was also happy to Pre-Order the Taito one for fifty quid.
@@DavidFalconer-np4boSo to have a Taito collection means to buy another handheld device at £50 instead of a -£20 cart and your happy? Then that's absolutely fine and I'm pleased for you. Most EXP customers would feel cheated let alone VS owners that WONT get a Taito or Capcom cart
@@davidgray1863 Based on recent carts it would be released across 2, meaning it’s effectively £14 for a smaller form, more limited device. Bearing in mind Evercades main market is people of a certain age with money to spend, I think there will be plenty takers. Some EXP owners will no doubt have pre-orders in for both.
To me the EXP was always surplus to market and audience requirement.
It looks great, but its lacking... Its a shame someone cant make it play any ROMS.
So it's lacking being able to play other roms? That's not what these products are all about.
@@CrazyBurger they could've included more is what I meant. I totally get the idea of the device and it looks great. Maybe they'll make an Evercade flash cartridge with an SD slot or something.
@@curtis8516 ah no.. they won't. But there's a company out there that does it..
great video , lame games
Lol cheers.. though I quite like a few of these.
Anyone watching getting absolutely bombarded with Temu amd Domino's pizza ads? There's no logic to ir as advertising the same ad over and isn't going to change people's minds beyond the first few dozen ads.
I thought the ads were bad over the last few months but this week has been beyond belief.
Not everyone is going to sign up for TH-cam Premium and will just turn off or use a third party workaround.
TH-cam have been making some incredibly dumb decisions lately. A bit like Blaze, Evercade have.
Not buying unless it’s on a cart. I’d rather play on the exp or the vs. These are the types of games I bought an evercade for, while the latest cart releases suck imo.
This is depressing I don’t like the look or sound of these games I think I’m going to cancel.
Arcade games on a 2 inch screen, no thanks! 😢
It's actually a 4" Screen.
@@CrazyBurger Actually 2.8 inch screen according to specs published so far
@@Chuesypa so it is. Where the heck did I get 4" from?! Lol
