Outside of the boss stages, Diver Boy really looks like it was heavily inspired by "Bomb Jack". If you flipped the screen upside-down, then you basically have the mechanics of jumping up - floating back down - and trying to collect the bombs in a specific order for maximum points. Meanwhile, Steel Force reminds me a lot of the 80's computer title "Into the Eagle's Nest" (but maybe that's just me).
No matter how awful, people will buy it for the number on the spine: a significant percentage of Evercade owners want to have every single game in order, arranged on a shelf, and the manufacturer knows it.
I did think it was awful, but I did expect more. I understand what you mean.
Diver Boy is my favorite game on the collection, even if the bosses are ridiculous.
Good video and review of this Piko Arcade 1. Some interesting games, in this collection!
Was just thinking of a recent Evercade video you just did
I think I have seen Fancy World: Earth of Crisis on a bootleg plug and play I have been watching for last few weeks
Looking foward to the next live steam!
just massaging your algorithm, great channel
Ampiko!
The Silkroad Game looks nice, the Rest seems too bland.
Edit: Oh and that Steel something !
They're really scraping the bottom of the barrel for this lot.
That's Piko in a nutshell, eh? (btw, I do like Piko and appreciate what they do)
