ThankZ man! It is a tricky effect to pull off. Quicksilver and candy r the hardest Createx paintZ to spray. When going for anodized look, try to remember that less is more. 3-4 super light coats of Quicksilver, then the same with candy. If u over saturate either one, it will take away from the anodized look. It’s really something u just have to keep trying until u find ur sweet spot with it. My gun is usually set to less than 1/2 out on the fluid when I do this effect, very little material each coat.
Hi Pablo. No, it is not discontinued, and probably will never be. It's used a lot by model builders and in cosplay/movie makeup applications. Wicked W351 Silver is a completely different look than Quicksilver. Quicksilver is now W357 in the Wicked line. Here's a link to the best/cheapest place to get it from: spraygunner.com/wicked-colors-quicksilver-w357/?aff=13.
@@pablofrancis5486 Yes, W357 is Quicksilver Chrome's new number. The Auto Air line is being discontinued/moved to the Wicked line. So some of the product numberZ are being changed to the W numberZ. So W357 is the same as 4104.
Hey bro let me ask you something. I've been airbrushing my RC bodies for about a year now and am wanting to start doing some Candy Jobs. Well with RC bodies you paint in reverse so I'll be laying the candy first and backing it with the Quicksilver. So my question is, about how many coats do you think I'd need to do to get the colors you have on the spoons at the end of your video? Also I heard I'd need to do a 6 parts 4050 and 1 part Candy. I don't have any 4050 yet but I do have 4030. Anyway any advice will be greatly appreciated!
I do 4 light coatZ of both candy and Quicksilver. I usually mix 2:1 UVLS to candy. You can use 4030 but 4050 is better with candy. You could try to find some clear spoons local or online and try it out.
ThankZ for subscribing! Let me know anytime u have a question or need help. I use strictly Tamco clear coats. Either their 9500 Hi Impact 30min Speed Clear or 2104 Euro Clear/High solids show style clear. Available at Spraygunner.com or TamcoPaint.com, linkZ in video description above 👆🏻
@@BrusHstroKeZ I haven’t picked up anything yet but have the airbrushes in my cart at spray gunner. I’m getting them mainly for painting models. What paints would you recommend? I was leaning toward the createx stuff.
@@Blade4127 Createx will work, but there may be other paint lines that work best for models. I’m not sure as I don’t or haven’t done any models yet. Devin I haven’t tried UVLS with the Quicksilver yet and not sure how well it would work. I saw Craig Fraser, Createx Tester, use 4040 for this technique. The 4040 helps to keep the candy from migrating and more uniform. Also will help prevent bleed if painting over it as well. UVLS might work. I will have to try it out one day.
@@BrusHstroKeZ in my experience the candy bleed was caused by the 4012 reducer reactivating the previous paint layer. With 4011 I don't have this problem anymore even without the 4040. The 4050 is a bit tougher than the 4040. Cheers.
LOL😂 Nothing here is fake. Maybe you’ll see some stuff ur eyeZ won’t believe though. Watch until the end, they’re in there, with the panels I did in the vid. Did them the candy over Quicksilver way in all the colors.

Very nice. Really liked the candy spoons. Keep up the great work.
