Flygon (gets outclassed by garchomp but as amazing speed and a lot of sets and ways to boost its already pretty okay defense)
Flareon (a lot say it’s the worst eeveloution but I like its design and not bad stats)
Probopass (made fun for its design but I like it)
Blastoise (most will disagree but it’s under rated since people make fun of it for having lower tier then charizard and venasaur in mega and a lot say it’s the worst out of the original 3 starters but it’s g nice stats and nice move set)
Zubat (annoying to a lot but I like battling them for levels)
Phione (a lot say it shouldn’t exists and I agree it’s just a worse manaphy but it’s got nice stats and I hi think good enough to get out of manaphys shadow)

QOTD: Magcargo, *especially* in Gen 4. It has 2 quad weaknesses, and in Gen 4 there's no such thing as Shell Smash or Z-Moves. It's got a great Base Defense of 120, but that won't help given that it's base HP stat is 50 and Earthquake is everywhere. Unlike Gen 3, whether a move is Physical or Special is no longer dependent on type, so Magcargo is expected to take hits from both ends of the spectrum. Flame Body has a 30% chance to burn, but the move has to make contact, so unless it gets hit by Aqua Jet (AND LIVES, given that it also has a quad weakness to Water moves) that burn ain't happening. Magma Armor prevents being frozen, but there's only a 10% chance of being frozen by most Ice moves (and WHO would use Ice moves on a FIRE TYPE?) so why bother? It's a Fire type which means it can't be burned, but it only has a base Attack stat of 50. You could run a generic set consisting of Earthquake, Stone Edge, some 3rd move (maybe Gyro Ball, given Magcargo's low Speed) and Explosion, but you're going to have a hard time taking anything out unless you have it hold a Choice Band (which locks Magcargo into one move per switch in, making it *even riskier* to use). It has a nice base Sp. Attack stat of 80, so you could run a Specs set, but that's assuming you survive taking a hit first given Magcargo's speed. It has defensive moves like Amnesia, Acid Armor, Light Screen, Reflect, and Recover (why does it have Recover?) but its 2 quad weaknesses WILL come back to bite you if you try to go that route. It has Rock Polish, but with a base Speed stat of 30 you won't be outspeeding much. I usually don't have a problem with using slow pokemon at all (such as Shuckle and Camerupt), but Magcargo has far too many weakneses to afford being slow since it can't learn Counter, Mirror Coat, or Metal Burst to make up for it; and it simply can't hit hard enough in return or stall out enemies due to its quad weaknesses being common.
*TLDR:* Magcargo is one of those pokemon I can't see myself using unless it's on a joke team, because no matter which route you take (whether offensive or defensive) you will have a hard time accomplishing anything with it, and if you do get something done it will be a Pyrrhic victory *at best*

But... but... Flareon is my favourite pokemon.
Nikell Jj is one of my favorites too, but its undeniable that it sucks. It has 65 hp, 60 def and 65 speed; its best stat is attack but its only usable moves are superpower, flare blitz, bite and quick attack; its hidden is useless and hinders it more than helps, its weak to the most common stuff online: Rock Slide, Earthquake, Surf and Stealth Rock. Its design is great and its so fluffy! But its awful competitively
Nikell Jj yeah of course you can win with Flareon I've won in OU with Infernape and base Charizard but from a stat standpoint Flareon isn't that good BUT it's still better than Simisear and Magcargo

Rapidash is pretty decent, torkoal is quite slow and doesn’t really hit that hard, Rapidash can stand its ground with some other good pokemon, torkoal will get washed away.
Kiki Doesn’t love you yeah but Torkoal is a good sun setter with stealth rock and rapid spin and in trick room his eruption ohkos almost everything

The worst fire type has to be Simisear
Kalvin Lum It is actually pretty good as a sweeper though. Choice specs set or nasty plot, fire blast/flame burst/flamethrower, grass knot, and any other special move.
It gets Focus Blast, too.

I think it just has to be Magcargo. The darn thing is 4 times weak to Ground and Water, and considering those types are extremely common in competitive, it doesn't have any opportunities to shine. At least others get cool moves and abilities and less weaknesses. Torkoal gets fricking Drought! Flareon FINALLY has Flare Blitz. Oricorio is just a gimmick but Revelation Dance still has decent power. Heatmor got Fire Lash. (I mean it's not the best move in the world but at least Game Freak cared about them enough to give them a signature move) And finally, Simisear at least has higher base stat total than Magcargo, and actually gets good STAB attacks. Magcargo's only special attacking Rock move is Ancient Power, which has 60 goddamn base power and a very unreliable secondary effect. Nuff said.

Simisear(Meh stats, Unusable abilities, and A limited movepool)
Heatmor(Merely meh stats)
Flareon(Unfortunately got screwed over so many times, unimpressed bulk and it took until gen 6 to get Flare Blitz)
Magcargo(Terrible defensive type, Abilities used for mainly breeding and Stalling, but it gets taken out in one hit)
Camerupt(Only the regular form can’t do much, Mega form Got Banned from NU)
And Lastly Talonflame (Was once great in Gen 6, but this generation fucked it over crippling the Ability that once made it difficult to deal with).
