Jack, I sure felt your pain a couple times in this video. Your patience is exemplary! In the early 70's when I started driving truck, you would have been known as an "Ironman". Hope you have a great New Year! I'll be looking forward to your new videos. :)
Namaste Jack. Thanks for all you and other truckers do. This might sound silly but without you and others I wouldn't have my yarn and knitting needles and I love to knit. Happy New Years!!
Nice last trip for 2017 Professor. Thank you very much for sharing all of your adventures Jack. Very much appreciated. Hope you have a SAFE and Prosperous 2018. Maybe the year for a new or newer dream truck. Happy New Year!
HI! Yet another great film. Glad you got your new steering box installed. Great way 2 end & begin the new year. Happy New Year to you & your family. Wish all the best for your adventures in 2018. Thank you for all the miles you have driven & will drive in the new year.
Glad to see & hear Ol’Red still going after 1,200,000 miles Jack👍🏽😉 I enjoy Your videos so-much, I’d consider Your videos my favorite show to watch- hands-down!😁 Thanks Jack!
I like looking at aircraft's too am a pilot I do a few hundred miles an hour lol I work on the jet engine's that's my full-time job I give a you and the other drivers a lot of credit going up and down the road all day I watch your show on my break I really enjoy it ,have a happy New Year to you and your family.
I wonder if rubber chock blocks or wedges would hurt them. You would think they'd build a wooden frame around those rolls to keep them stable or use a nylon strap thru the center hole with cardboard in it and secure it that way to a pallet or frame. I also think rounded pallets are mass produced for the steel and aluminum industry. I have to say one thing Jack, you sure have backing up down to a science, and you are very good at that. I also have to give you a thumbs up for your patients. Between crappy customers, the wrong paperwork, heavy traffic, and running against the clock, truck troubles, noise pollution and, all while trying to make a decent buck. I’m happy to see you were able to get your steering box installed. I wrote down your millage in case you forget it LOL…. Happy New Year to you Jack and any and all your love ones!! Thanks for a year of really top shelf video.
That’s neat Jack. You were in my hometown of Shreveport. Looks like you were over there on Aero Dr. I guess it’s still called G&S Roofing. I used to bring dry bulk products in there about 14 or 15 years ago. It would’ve been nice to meet you while you were in town but I was probably on a run out of town anyway.
Happy New Year Jack! Hoping 2018 will be even a greater year for you! Happy trails up and down the interstates and highways! Thanks for allowing us to be alone with you as trucking is an adventure!
@Indiana Jack I'm a truck n drag driver from Dublin,Ireland... Love your videos and truly enjoy the insight, excitement, let downs and general "craic" you have on the road....keep her between the ditches sir and happy new year!!!
Great video! I just found your TH-cam channel and am becoming a new trucker and these videos are extremely interesting and helpful. I will go back and definitely watch all of your videos.
I really like the long videos, Jack. They make much more sense than short snippets. Thanks for providing not only entertainment but resources as well. Stay safe and please publish as often as you can.
@indianajacktrucker A belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving also. Thanks for the laughs and videos. Safe travels always.
I was beginning to wonder if you were ever gonna get that steering gear box in. Between the tight squeezes and the racket from the clown next to you, (yeah, I meant clown) this wasn't the greatest way to end the year. But with the fresh gearbox and ol Red purring like a kitten 2018 promises to be a goodun. Happy trails Jack. Wind at your back and as many miles as you want. Stay safe.
MR. JACK AND OLD RED. THANKS FOR LETTING ME RIDE ALONG . IT'S BEEN A GREAT RIDE. HOPE THAT 2018 WILL BE ALSO. SURE IT WILL BE. HAPPY NEW YEAR . GOD BLESS STAY SAFE .
Hi, Jack, thank you for bringing all the great videos, which have made my life so much more interesting. I ride along with you on each and every trip. I wish you a more prosperous year in 2018 and I look forward to seeing more of your videos. Happy new year!
Happy New Year, Jack! Thank you for your videos, I look forward to each new installment and never miss one. Take care, drive safe and keep on truckin'.
How's it going jack? I love your videos and I see that parking in particular is probably stressful to you. I've been thinking of a invention that maybe out already. What if there were sensors i. The spaces at truck stops. There could be a map that's uploaded to there website etc. if this were to happen you could see on the site how many spots wee available before you stop. This maybe already out but I've never heard you speak about it. I think this would make truckers life a lot easier. So you would know before you get off the interstate if your gonna have a place to stop. I'd love to hear your opinion on this. Thanks Jack hope you have safe travels.
Thanks for letting me ride along this year Jack. it's been an awesome adventure!! I just started watching last April but have seen all your videos. As a driver myself i was injured last Feb. and have been homebound since. The first video i watched caught my eye because of the truck on the cover. It was my bosses truck actually in the episode "fuel mileage trucker". Trucking really is an adventure. Can't wait to get back but until then i'll stick to the videos lol. Happy New Year buddy!!!
Thank you for a great year of interesting videos! I'm glad you made it regardless of the leaky valve next door. Sorry for the driving event. Many hiccups in your business. Happy New Year!
You focused the camera on the Hazmat (radioactive) placard and I thought you were going to find another spot to park, but you were brave and park right next to it. I guess you've seen plenty of those OTR?
Great video, Jack. Thank you for posting these for the last few years. I have enjoyed every one of them. No one else comes close to your efforts. Keep up the great work in 2018. Happy New Year to you and your family!
McClean is owned by Berkshire Hathaway (Warren Buffet), which bought it from Walmart! But even before that it was a typical grocery warehouse....I hated them all in my days OTR. Enjoy your channel.
Well jack it has been a great year to fellow you , up and down the road. Hope you have a great new year, thanks for letting us ride along with. Be safe
Happy New Year, Jack! You might try some ear muffs. $15-20 at Lowes or HOme Depot. I sleep with them almost every night . The only problem is it is difficult to hear an alarm or someone breaking into your abode.
The truck parking next to you with the loud purge valve.... Wow.. would of drove me crazy.. no wonder you didn't sleep any! That was beyond loud.. no ear plugs, head phones, would of helped.. I can personally hear a pin drop especially if I'm trying to sleep.. lol... sorry and hope the steering problems went away with the pricey part fixing it.. Take care
As it's known in the trucking world, it's a very good idea to change out the engine bearings at 1 million miles , to avoid blowing up the engine. Just a suggestion. Don't blow'er up. Happy Trucking. :)
Hey Jack jus wondering about that 4mph drive trip thing on yr e-logs,that has to be the most aggravating thing ever ...i thought they were supposed to fix that?? I'm glad my Qualcomm let's me go as fast as i want and it gives me 2 miles b4 it puts me on drive....and THAT purge valve,OH MY LORD I WOULD RAISE THE ROOF OFF ON SOMEONE LOL....BE SAFE AND KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING ...TY HAPPY NEW YEAR JACK
I don't know about Volvo Trucks Power Steering, But my Volvo cars take a special steering fluid. Not just any off the shelf fluid works.......I think some company makes a special conditioner for a groaning steering box....
Jack - - I recommend you get a pair of Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Wirelss headphones and then search for a fellow You Tuber's rain or white noise sound effects to mask any residual noise when you sleep; there are lots of them out there. Just get one that does not have ads in the middle or you can dowload one for a couple bucks and be ad-free. Drive safe, not a driver here but I enjoy seeing the country through your adventures.
Thanks for a great year. I pray peace, joy, and prosperity for you in 2018. God bless
