I can relate, my 6YO needed stitches in Thailand in April 2024, although thankfully it wasn’t on her birthday. We used Strataderm scar cream for 3 months and the scar has faded significantly, although Allira’s scar isn’t too noticeable 😊
Nawwww, poor thing. It always sucks when our kiddies hurt themselves. I have to look up the scar cream but yeah hers isn’t noticeable until she lifts her head up. She healed up well thankfully.
Oh my goodness poor alira. Bless her! there were plenty of celebrations in between the injuries. Honestly when I take out insurance I try to think of possibilities we r covered for 😅 you never know what could happen on a ship it is so important! We know someone was taken away by a helicopter we didn’t realise it was staff. I was actually in the red frog pub at the time playing games and didn’t realise what was happening untill the kids told me they were evacuated from the pool! I hope that staff member is ok!! Must have been serious 😮 Omg Tim spotted himself in your dr suse video he was soooooo excited he made it in your video 😂😂 bless him. Omg I don’t think I want to know what other emergencies you encountered 😢 It’s horrible when there injured and there’s not a lot you can do 😢you did great and she was sooooo brave!! ❤
I did see Tim there when I was editing. I’m glad he is happy to have feature in the video. 🫶 Unfortunately, accidents happen especially with kids, they can be so unpredictable. She was such a little trooper. It was such an ordeal for her but she took it well and didn’t complain about it after the event. Yeah I really feel for the crew member. I hope they recovered well.
Does this mean she’s a big school girl next year? That’s a super exciting milestone. Even though it was so long ago I still remember the first day of big school for my kiddos. Good thing old hand grand-Mama was there when Alira fell down bonked head to stay calm & take charge. Very surprised Carnival did a full incident investigation after what sounds like a pretty typical childhood shenanigans accident. Pleasantly surprised. I know it’s all for avoiding any potential legal & insurance issues but as someone who has worked in the safety arena, I can tell you that it’s not actually as common as it should be to fully investigate relatively minor injuries!

There were plenty of great moments. It definitely wasn’t how we wanted to end the day but she was so good with it for the rest of the cruise.
