Hi Benny, I am a Mattei engineer for the past 20 years and found your video interesting. The valve you refered to is the MPV ( minimum pressure valve). The service parts for this valve come in the sefvice kits. The problem from watching your video seemed to be the MPV O ring had run flat. It is common on machines that have not had the O ring changed as per schedule or some times it can happen if the machine has been running hot. Enjoyed watching your video and good work. Regards Lee

Glad to know my audience gets bigger and people are enjoying my channel if you go the GoPro route I would recommend the new hero4 session line I use the regular one that does 1080p at 60fps but the new version hero5 session does have amazing quality but if your satisfied with this video quality get the regular one it's only $200 and the new version is $400ish I just recommend the session out of the GoPro line because it's their smallest camera and lightest with 2 microphones and is fully 100% water proof all on it own with no need for a case! have you ever looked at snap on o ring spoons. I work with hydraulics so I replace allot of o rings and back up rings. the spoons don't dig into soft valves or the o ring. They are worth their weight in gold. I don't have the part number on me but they come in a set of 4. another great video. I really enjoy learning how other guys work, especially how you diagnose and tricks you know.

Benny CompTech I hear ya I work in mostly industrial plants in their compressor rooms and it can get lonesome in there especially during our shutdowns and your not accompanied by the whine of the variable speed RSU'S lol you know what i am saying I am not sure if you service regenerative air dryers but that would be a cool video idea so the average person can see how much fun bailing desiccant can be lmao
Wesley Barbeau we have a service contract SoCal Edison (electric provider) and every other year we swap out 3000 pounds of desiccant last November we did it and doing that job made me think man this would be a cool job to record I wish I had a camera! So a few days after I bought my GoPro lol!
we do a lot of work at a mine and the have 9 pnumatech heatless systems in a tight spot so we do them by hand with pails that makes for some serious fun. you want fun up here in Canada in the winter we get cold down to about 2°f (-16°c ) and systems freeze up unloader valves full of ice ,oil coolers frozen, plc's that won't boot that real fun where abouts are you guys from ?
I'm in the commercial HVAC industry and I've ended up using all sorts of stuff to put valves etc in. I carry a hydraulic ram... seldom used but essential sometimes! On bigger piping and valves I've cogitated on picking up a porta power. Good work sir! I'm guessing you have a healthy assortment of extra o rings etc from the kits just as back ups....
As i havo no idea how to answer directly in the thread i make a new post. I must admit i also often just use whatever breakerbar/big wrench/broomstick i can use as these bolts are in the truck which maybe a 15 minute walk through the factory ;-) but i do have one small box filled completly with all sorts of bolts which act as a tool like the 4-5 mm you need to extract the off-load valve, i have a whole bunch of stuff like that, home made extractors,hooks,bend screwdrivers etc, modified to do one specific job.Like your vids! , gr Richard, Holland
The solution to instal the valve is use two bolts 20 mm longer an put them in diagonaly , use these to install the valve the first bit and then screw in the other holes the two original bolts, release the longer bolts and replace with the two othe original bolts
robber576 i've done it that way before with an older experienced tech I just don't have any of those bolts and I'm too lazy or cheat to go get some LOL
nice video...I like that! 1 bar is 14.5 psi. why not use a quick release ratchet? When you was putting in the valve, I thought you could use a one handed spreading clamp as extra help. Like the bessey EZS. Just watched your first video and will stay tuned to look more and subscribe as well!
anurag77719 the bar to psi ratio has been changed to 1 bar = 14.8 and I don't use quick release ratchets because the sockets being on tight just out weighs the cons of it being more difficult to remove the sockets. But in this application they are using it for food products (cereal in this case) but I do work on compressors that keep water purification plants running and even So Cal Edison yup no air compressors no electricity a lot of things keeping America going must co-exist and by the way I'm in no way a air conditioning technician lol so many people think this two totally different fields!!!
joemar alegre set up your air dryer after the compressor and before the air tank. Or have your compressor first then two tanks the first tank is your “wet tank” the second tank is your “dry tank” then set up your dryer last. Filters will very depending on your application.
asavage1576 hourly, up selling bonuses, as well a bonus for my actual billing hours totaled at the end of every month but if a job is quoted for say 4 hours and I'm done in 1 I'm payed the 4 but say I have 2 jobs quoted 4 hours each (so my 8 hour day )and I finish them in 4 hours I get payed 8 and go home early but say a job is quoted 3 hours and it take me 8 hours I still get payed all 8 hours so depending on the situation I usually get payed hourly but for quoted jobs I technically get paid flat rate but I'll be payed my hourly rate if I go over so long story short it's good money lol
joyfilters typically they are supposed to be replaced every 6000 hours along with the separator filter but most guys either don’t do it or companies will not do them till the customer calls cause the unit isn’t working right and replace them as they fail to charge that extra service call
