hey benny, you have some great videos and this being one of them. Have same compressor and seems like issue is with inlet valve not working, after 10secs of running pressure does not build up. Would you be able to send breakdown drawing for the valve or advise on how the valve operates, ie, open vs close?

How do you justify $300.00 for 5 minutes of diagnostics and don't do anything to rectify the problem? You say that it was simple and an electrical problem. From what you describe the problem seems to be a faulty circuit breaker or a loose wire connected to the circuit breaker. If you have the ability to troubleshoot the motor by checking amp draw you have the ability to know that a simple tightening of the wiring mounting screw or replacement of a faulty circuit breaker then you are not interested in solving the customers problem. It takes 10 times the amount to get a new customer than it does to keep a customer . The customer is always right. Don't be mad at the customer. I used to live in the Chicago area and worked in the construction industry where it was a constant fight between union and nonunion workers. the philosophy of union workers was union rules. You could not do a job because it wasn't your job. And he could not do your job because it was his job. With the fight between it was not my job and it was your job ...... you never get anything done. Bottom Line, take a few minutes and fix the problem and keep a customer happy if indeed it was a simple problem. Don't fault the customer for wanting to get value from his hard earned money.

I have a 15 hp IR rotary screw air compressor. When it gets up to operating pressure it shuts off. However the unloader valve leaks and the air compressor cycles within 40 seconds. It will run 40 seconds , then shuts off. It leaks down within 35 seconds and starts again repeating the sequence over and over. It will not hold pressure. I replaced the unloader valve and nothing changes. Any ideas?

First problem is that it’s a Ingersoll.

We work on this kind of compressor. We’ve been changing out separator left and right. Oil doesn’t separate and drains the oil out of the sump. We put new seal in the separator tube and 2 days latter. No oil in the sump. We found out that the separator was defective. We cut open the separator and one of the seal got crushed. Have you ran into that problem?

hello Benny, we have a IR ssr 125. we have changed out the water/ oil coolers and still have high water content in our oil. What other parts will cause high water 22000 ppm of water in the oil. Thanks

I'm sorry but is the lack of understanding and proper procedure giving anyone pause? Not knowing if the system is purged, clanking tools around, is where is the power shut off?, Lack of communication from client to the dangers of the job and multiple other concerns happening here

I have the same Ingersoll Compressor. I really wish I could fine my heating problem also and why it shuts down after 15 minutes. I removed all the metal panelling for it to cool better but still shut down. I’m starting to think that my problem is the inlet valve. Keep on making videos I really appreciate it

Which direction does the IR inlet valve deflector get installed? Bend towards casting or towards valve?

I bought a up6 15cTAS 125 in a option . It has the same problem Inlet valve . It does run build full pressure but sometimes when restart you can hear is under load. There is oil in the air filter. I want to do a service but am confused about the oil level. Do it need to be half way of the glass when is off or when is running?

im from Singapore and on a government/military contract to do monthly servicing/checks on their air compressors, and i understand what you mean by how we can't show the public. coz there are some places that are just amazing, like sites in the jungles so clean and natural, you just dont get to see in public. and also the cool military gadgets! hahahahah!
