    A beautiful video, it seemed to be a bit longer, which I enjoyed. Your choices of background music were wonderful, I liked the song, together, as you and John rode your bikes, so appropriate. Looking at the terrain, you almost felt you were on another planet, the views of the mountains with there sharp peaks were stunning. The time you showed with you and John doing things around your rig was nice, it pointed out how sweet and kind you two are. The interactions between you two is priceless, I really enjoy the way you tease each other.

    I enjoy your story, don’t misunderstand, but the technical quality of your videos is really something. It’s clearly something you work at. This time I noticed that the bicycle footage was gyrostabilized (you really notice it in fast speed). Little editing touches like the flag on Mt. Whitney. Good wild sound, great music. And the composition. That shot of the sun setting behind a mountain with the smoke highlighting the final rays of sun. This is clearly a labour of love for you.
    Three weeks ago we took delivery of our Pleasure-Way Ontour 2.2. But there’s a Covid travel ban in British Columbia right now, so we’ve had it sitting in the driveway, loading it up. We even put in a Vancillary shelf on your recommendation and it’s terrific. Now, my wife and I arewaiting for better times to hit the road.
    Anyway, your videos keep getting better and better. Thanks very much. Stay safe and healthy.

    • @FromShetoMe

      Thank you so much. Some are better than others. Since getting back I got the new iPhone and it caused me serious angst this past week. So much technical stuff and it changes constantly. Good thing we have TH-cam or I wouldn't figure any of this stuff out.
      What a shame you can't get out to explore in your new rig. Have you tried sleeping in it on your driveway? And do you have to do anything special with your batteries other than using the disconnect key? I don't think I could survive the cold up there.

    • @ELMS
      @ELMS 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FromShetoMe Fortunately we’re in Victoria (I see you have been here). In the winter ❄️ it’s the warmest, although least cold might be a better way of putting it, city in Canada. Very similar to Seattle, but in metric. As for sleeping in it, we have one of those driveways that runs down into a basement garage. All the rage in 1950 but it means there’s quite an angle. We do enjoy your tips and hacks as well as the beautiful videos. We’ve also thrown our enormous Pleasure-Way front window coverings in the garage and are in the middle of installing a drape off that’s attached to our Vancillary shelf. We’re going to try using magnets to attach it (for some mysterious reason my better half doesn’t like Velcro) and will drop a note on how it goes. Please stay safe and healthy.

    I wasn’t so sure when I started watching your videos earlier this year. Watched many of your older videos (interested in the RV or something similar in the future). But you have grown on me. Your husband is certainly more like me. But the show is nothing without you.
    That said, you clearly have upped your game on the videos. Drone shots. Music is wonderful. And added some new graphics this week. But most of all- taken viewers to locations that one typically does not travel by car and/or vacation. You show what it means to camp in an RV. The endless possibilities.
    Anyone can hit a National Park (and what we like to do every year) but your travels take us to the off beaten path and some wonderful quiet sites. This is what it means to be in a Class B when you have time and flexibility. So many opportunities.
    And you do a really nice job on improvements/changes to the RV. Follow/watch a number of RV TH-cam videos-you likely watch or seen the same-think Panoramic RV with Neil and Philip-owner of the company (now that is a great set-up inside in that class B). Your site is professional and entertaining.
    I could go on but you demonstrate what one can do in retirement (give my wife and me 4-5 more years :)).
    Curious as to what you and your husband did before retirement. No need to answer, of course, but wanted to know a bit more of your background.

    We parked our RV this summer to avoid unnecessary travel. Can you share observations regarding travel during the pandemic?

    • @FromShetoMe
      @FromShetoMe  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Of course it depends on how and where you travel. We probably have more contact with people at home than when we are on the road. Neighbors, appointments, shopping, etc. Whether we are at home or traveling, we follow all the protocals. We also avoid places where people aren't masked. We don't eat at restaurants. The few museums we entered were nearly empty. When we stop for fuel, we don't go inside to use the facility, we wear gloves to pump fuel and disinfect afterwards. The beauty of the van is it has everything we need with the exception of laundry. However, there are variations between states. When we were hiking in Utah, we saw more people unmasked on the trails than when we entered Nevada/California. It is quite common now to see people move off the trail to give others extra space. If a hike looks crowded, we find another one. We go for long walks at home and probably see more people here than when we are on the road. With cases spiking now, if we leave home, it will be for shorter trips that don't require any stops except fuel.

    Sometimes those no trespassing signs are for the land beside the road and not for the road.
    I once went over a dirt mountain pass and on the other side ran into a neighbourhood with roads. Every way I turned there was a no trespassing sign entering the road. I finally found someone to ask and they told me which road was public and the sign was for the property, not the road. now if there is no sign saying private road, I give it a go.

      We actually went down to the paved road to see if there was another way to get through but it was fenced off and there was a home there. But you are right, you have to be persistent sometimes.

      @@timsmith7625 LOL. You mean he's seen one of my videos? That's wonderful. One reason I always list my music is because these creators deserve more credit than they get. Speaking of Trent & Allie, I'm really loving their house build. I so admire Allie's editing skills. Also enjoying Eamon and Bec's build in Canada.

      @@FromShetoMe I was watching E&B but haven’t seen many since they decided to live in the cabin. Humble Road is pretty busy too so no much from him....Yes on Allie’s editing and post. Very good one too. You can also see a difference in yours as you have gotten more comfortable with the tools out there. I enjoy them as well as the places you go to....Head to the Keys tomorrow for a few months of warm WX.

      Check out racks made for scooters or small motorcycles. I met a woman at the beach a year ago who had a rack with a ramp but I don’t remember the brand.
