I retired a year ago. I'm getting ready to build out a van so I can move from the tent camping I love to having a better way to spend more time on the road visiting beautiful places all over the country. On my long list of places to explore are more nooks and crannies of my home state, Utah. As in most places, we don't have to travel too far out our back doors to enjoy the beauty of Mother Earth here in Utah. Your videos showcase the beauty of every place you visit so well, they make me even more excited to have a van to explore in. I love the little bits of information you give about the places you visit. Thanks for sharing your adventures, tips, creativity and cooking ideas. Thanks for promoting following rules that help keep the out doors and our land clean and beautiful for all to enjoy as well as safety/courtesy information. Love your happy personality and great videos.
@@FromShetoMe I lost my husband of 41 years last year. I am trying to figure it out! Covid19 doesn’t help. I am testing out camping in my SUV until I do. John reminds me of my Richard.
@@pamelanickell3586 Excellent! I hope it works for you but I know camping out of a vehicle can be tough. Be sure to pamper yourself with a few luxuries like heat and electric. A PLD (personal locator device) can help ease your mind while traveling alone.
Debbie, thank you for taking us to so many places I don't see anywhere else, love it. Hubby and I are living vicariously through you and John till we can get out there. I said, "I bet John said thanks for filming my fall." Such a beautiful sunset. Loving your editing and videos every week.

Wow, loved Kodachrome 😍 Phew, relieved the crash was a minor one. Good for Connie - what a great accomplishment to take on the Dempster to the Arctic!👏👏👏 Thank you for another superb video!
Oh gosh I’m sorry John fell but glad it wasn’t worse. Your video production has always been great but you’re getting even better. Love tagging along and making notes for future travels. The time lapse of the sky was incredibly beautiful 🤩. Happy and safe travels. 🚐♥️
Its been fun watching you learn about your Sprinter van. We should talk some time about it I have lots of info of how and why and what you will need to fix on the sprinter van someday. Mine is a 2007 and yes a Pleasure way just like yours and much more,
We love your videos. Your editing has really gotten exceptional. We just went through the same areas you have been hitting and only wish we had your videos before. You hit a few places we missed. BTW, when you get back home and get your PayPal account active, we are eagerly anticipating getting the windshield screen. Thanks for all you do and keep up the great videos!
Beautiful, beautiful, another wonderful and informative video. You do such a great job with your photography and putting just the right music with the rhythm of whatever you and John are doing. I’m keeping track of many of the sites you have visited, I will make use of them when we visit Utah in the spring. So many fantastic places to visit. Hopefully John is on the mend. I too am looking at the apple 12 phone, let us know what you think if you purchase one.
It arrived 2 days ago but haven't swapped it out yet because I ran out of hard drive space to offload my videos. Costco was having a sale so I'm now ready to do it. But always such a pain.
Thank you for sharing the gorgeous scenery. Your editing is tight, your vlogs better each week. And you're great about sharing information from others and yourselves.
We had just said "Deb is careful coming down the hill and John is doing 20mph just like Owen". And then the next scene is him in a ditch. Sounds like he's OK but that is a scary time for you guys and scary for us to see too. Take care of yourselves so you're in good shape for when we arrive next year. We do hate it for John... such a trooper. Love you both.

I am thinking that now that Owen & Lynn have a Revel we may see them out that way, too.😉We have a C, so we’re probably not going to be camping as far out as you guys, but sure enjoy being able to go along with y’all via video! Thanks for taking the time to video, edit & share! (Love from SC, Jane)❤️🙏🏻
Great video! Thanks for sharing another beautiful place with us! BTW, I’ve been to the Smokey Bear 🐻 museum that was recommended to you. It’s on the Billy the Kid Scenic Byway in Capitan, New Mexico - not too far from Ruidoso, Ft. Stanton, and Lincoln (of the Lincoln County War and Billy the Kid fame). The lovely garden/park at the museum is the final resting place of the original Smokey Bear (yes, there was a real bear). You should definitely put it on your list when you’re going that way in the future.
We’re in awe of you and your husband. Taking us along on your journey is certainly picturesque as well as entertaining. You make us laugh at times and hope we can enjoy our travels as much as you do. Our new class B coach is still being built and delivery is delayed again due to a parts shortage. Your videos help fill that void.

speaking of e bikes, our single track trails in helena just banned them, not without some controversy, mostly from hikers, we do have a lot of mt bikers but also over 40 miles of trails, i will have my mt bike with me on my upcoming adventure, with full suspension it handles obstacles well !!!
There was controversy on this project as well but the data and research show there isn't really a difference between regular mountain bikes and Class 1 ebikes. But I'm not going to die on that hill. www.fs.usda.gov/project/?project=57704
Info for Connie..I've had a camper like hers and now have a 20 ft walk thru..less flexibility traveling with walk thru if you enjoy off road. I've had 5 different unit types and the truck and 4wheel was my favorite. Great combo
John-Ouch!! That looks like some bad cuts-Ouch! None on his leg that was against that bramble of some sort? If no leg injury-good thing he can still do the Happy dance!😉
One thing we learned on this trip is that Utah's dirt roads and trails have really deep ruts from when they get rain and really powdery sand (they call it blow sand). Throw in a bunch of rocks and it can be quite an obstacle course. His tire got stuck in a rut and wedged by a rock.
Love your channel. Forgive me if this questions has been previously addressed. Are your ebikes considered Class 1, 2 or 3? Do you run into many ebike restrictions when boondocking? Do you encounter specific states that are more restrictive concerning ebikes on trails?
They are class 2 e-bikes. Restrictions run the gamut and we are seeing lots of policy changes everywhere. In Utah, state parks were mostly fine with e-bikes. Every forest in the USFS system seems to be developing their own rules. Some are fine with e-bikes and some are not. Same is true in California. The National Parks have been opening up more to e-bikes but that also seems to be on a park by park basis. If you remember when snow boards came out and ski areas were banning them, it took time for acceptance. I think the same is true with e-bikes. As more people get them and more people try them, the acceptance will come. The YT channel "Bolton E Bikes" recently did a video on the laws which might answer some of your questions. I think most of the friction is coming from hikers and equestrians and I get it. There are trails that should be restricted for all bikes, not just e-bikes. Best thing for all of us to do is be courteous and use our resources gently.
@@FromShetoMe thank you so much for the input. I totally agree concerning being mindful of our resources. I’ve noticed in many of your videos that you’re bikes/rack rock back and forth quite a bit. There are ways to stiffen the hitch connection between the vehicle and the rack, otherwise it eventually causes stress fractures where the metal can crack/break. Just keep an eye on it. Otherwise......,not my business I know!......just don’t want to see damage!!!
