    "Made in the Philippines" makes us Filipinos proud, also giving jobs to Filipinos. Quality is very good as they follow strict quality standards from Mitsubishi in Japan

      I am also for supporting locally-assembled vehicles. However, Mitsubishi should have made the features and pricing competitive :( At this point, the Vios and the City are still way much better.

    To answer your question, the Mirage G4 is one the top 10 cars sold in the PI. The Filipino buyer has shown themselves willing to pay a premium over the Chinese made cars for a dated Mirage. So yes, a Filipino made car means a lot.

    • @tripleh9940
      @tripleh9940 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brunoclemente2607 right…semantics. My point is that there are hundreds of manufacturing jobs that exist because Mitsubishi builds/makes/assembles the Mirage in the PI. The Mitsubishi badge and the Mirage’s Philippine origins means something to the Philippine car buyer, which is why the Mirage is one of the top 10 cars sold in the PI despite its shortcomings and marginal value proposition against the Chinese made cars in the segment.

    Also, still a bummer that the GLS wil never have a manual anymore. The engine feels better with the manual, and not everyone wants a base MT variant. The CVT is actually tweaked in this facelifted model, but being a CVT will always have the rubberband effect thus affecting its acceleration when overtaking.

    • @RoxasMarcEfrenA
      @RoxasMarcEfrenA 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      And even worse, the CVT in this car (Jatco CVT7) is very unreliable and is already seen in Nissan econobox models (e.g. Juke, Sylphy, etc.)
