What a flawed review! I have had my Pixel 9 PRO XL since 22nd of August...running 9 email accounts, 5G calls, social media ,photos, videos, games and use Al all day to summarize emails, TH-cam videos, business plans. NOT one issue..no heating ,nothing. LOTS OF DEMAND DAILY and great battery life with 8hours SOT. Who cares about Geekbench scores ? That is not reality! He states "not as powerful " to do what? Out of the box you can do all with it unlike iPhone 16 that AI still coming months later!
Thank you, I'll take your word for it and turn this off before getting into another heavily weighted, negative Pixel review. I'm an owner as well of this beast
That's a good question, who knows because this will be the first iteration of the new chip and setup, so there maybe some kinks to work out, but i and rocking the pixel 9 pro right now and it has been running completely fine for me, sot depending on where you are is subjective, but for the software that comes with this phone I have to almost keep this as my main because now playing and the call features especially call screening is something that I can't go without on a device now.
There isn’t one if you think the pixel 10 would be powerhouse it won’t be. Google doesn’t work like that ; more specifically it is not for the gamers & high end on mobile video editors.
I bought the Pixel 9 Pro XL last week. And I couldn't stay more than 1 day with it. in very simple tasks it moves jerky. both the wireless signal and the 4G was very weak. and the stock menu seemed very little intuitive. the only thing really good on this phone is the camera. on the video side I thought quite weak compared to the S24 Ultra. The day after I bought it I returned it and I took S24 Ultra. from the moment I opened it it I thought 5 classes over in all chapters. but the most important for me was the user friendly part. one UI is extremely intuitive and well thought out. yes, it has a lot of pre-installed applications, but you can uninstall most or hide them easily. Let's say I would have gotten used to the stock android, but I couldn't get over the fact that it went very low on simple tasks like scrolling through the menu or on web pages, I couldn't get over that. Who wants a real top of the android range, turn to the S24 ultra, not this phone crap.
Okay, George I have a question. Why does, magic eraser work better on the OnePlus devices than on The Pixel 9 pro XL? This is a serious issue for Google. They created, magic eraser. I get better results on my OnePlus 11. Please make it make sense 😂
I'm trying to understand the premise of your comment. You're saying the pixel is relying on software? Isn't that the whole notion of a phone to be software dependent? Your comment is very much flawed and it makes no sense to the point of you want your phone to be the smartest as you could be so software is a major part of Google and Google is a software company so it should be software dependent but I digress. And furthermore, I think you need to look at what you say before you say it because if it was hardware dependent without software you'd be saying it's too hardware dependent. I don't know what you're saying, TH-cam commenter.
Pixel. 9 pro looks weak on the spec sheet but when you use it in real life, it is just as good as the rest of the flagship phones. So if you’re only reading the specs sheet of coz you would think little of this phone.
honestly i never liked a phone as much the 9 pro xl. it is my first ever pixel however it seems i arrived at the right time. its flawless.
Got the XL too and loving it
Totally agree...homerun Google 🎉😊
Thanks man. I hope mine comes before Christmas.
What an amazing review! No stones left unturned with unrivaled detail. I hope he performs another epic review when the OP13 lands next month.

I agree with you! As I stated in the review. But I feel like not saying it has HALF the geekbench score (as a mere stat) would be unprofessional.
It's called user experience.

This phone is slower than 2 years old Android devices that uses Snapdraon Gen 2. Let that sink into your head.
@@beatrixaulani7661slower how kid???
I've had mine a month and love it, still have my 15 plus, but, 9 it rocks.
I’m thinking to trade my 15 plus with 9 Pro XL, the last I used Android was 2016. Do you think from 15 plus to 9PXL it’s a good upgrade??
getting mine next week george can't go back from a pixel phone have the pixel 8 at the moment but im goin XL this time !!

Damn awesome review ✌🏻
Now playing is better than shazam!
Great review!
Is it better to wait for the next pixel with another "better" chipset?

Great phone. but No 4k 120fps, portrait mode is not perfect.I hope they will update the camera app.
It's aluminum side rails. Not stainless steel.

you said way too much wrong information about the device, unfortunately.
Si sólo pudieran arreglar ese horrible defecto de la cámara que hace que en ocasiones se vea empastelizada la escena como que tuviera un filtro
Dont buy the hazel one. Ordered one at launch, after almost 4 months I got a porcelain in the post instead.
Why not to buy Hazel?
Face id isn`t secure. Paranoia 🤣🤣🤣 I feel sorry for you.

Pixel 9 is too reliant on software gimmicks, weak processor, small camera sensors, if Pixel 9 were a Chinese brand reviewers would sh💩 on this phone.
true. Googles Marketing for this phone is crazy. Otherwise it would only be recognized as an average mid class phone
