The door windlace is a beast. It took me almost two hours per side to install. I would recommend using either a foaming window cleaner spray or a soapy water spray to help lube the seal and track. And I would suggest using something like this weatherstripping tool to help insert the seal into the track www.prp.com/product/detail/351453?keyword=tool&sort=u.Name&paginationCount=24&type=All
Thanks so much brother. I have tried almost everything to speed it up but sound futile. I am going to give a screen tool a try as well.@@RaybuckAutoBodyParts
If you're planning on doing any longer trips, then it's worth buying. We did a long trip prior to installing the windlace, and you could feel a considerable amount of air pushing up through that gap, almost like a slow fan was running. We were driving in the rain, and it was most air that was coming into the cab, so it felt slightly damp for the whole ride. I made a similar ride after installing the windlace, and there was next to no air flow from that area. It made for a much more comfortable ride.
You're thinking of the running board weatherstrip seals (raybuck.com/product/1947-1955-gm-pickup-running-board-weatherstrip-seal-kit/). They look similar, but are different.
Good video ! I’m doing a basket case 51’ 3100 & t’s a big ass puzzle- thanks !!
Where can I buy the side and top windlace weatherstripping on your vidio that slides into the track around the cab next to the door? Thanks!

hi do you carry the wind lace metal strip
Sorry, we used to, but our one supplier discontinued them, so we no longer carry them.
Is the windlace worth buying? I do not have it on mine right now and I am not sure if I would like to spend the money.

@@RaybuckAutoBodyParts okay thank you
Especially in the winter. The cold air coming up is not good.
That is really not where that goes. That rubber is the filler between the cab and the running board.
