    This is my 3rd kit from these guys and they work great. My Stoeger M3500 is pulling mid 3's to lower 4's after install. The trigger feels much better and it will help with shooting. Thanks again

    We use these at Ape Tactical Gunsmithing in Bristol, TN, and find that it makes a big difference and coupled with a little polishing makes for a great trigger solution. These guns can also be drilled for scope mounting which some people are not aware of.

    The little clip I would bent it smaller after I removed it and before reinstalling it so it stays in the groove.

    Big like! Shame I can only like it once. My factory new M3500 in DRT trigger was really bad. Comparing it to my SBE3 and 1301, it was meh. Now, it's very close in smoothness. I'm not so worried about the weight, more so the smoothness. Very impressed with this kit. I'll do some testing for reliability this weekend.

    Sorry guys, but after installing the hammer spring and firing spring upgrade I was getting short primer strikes on Remington 3.5" shot shells in my M3500. Federal shot shells work fine. The Federal has more of a pointed primer where Remington is more flat. Put a dent in Remington shell primer, but no bang. Cost me a couple ducks last Wednesday. Happened multiple times.. Going back to the factory springs before my next hunt.

      I would not change the trigger spring. Leave the original . That is probably why you are getting lite strikes. I would have only changed the sear spring. Makes sense -a lite trigger spring is going to give you lite primer strikes. Not going to change trigger pull.Sear spring is going to change trigger pull.

      I meant the hammer spring. Sorry about that.

    So I had a shell malfunction in my shotgun. I blew some springs out of the trigger so I got this kit thinking it would do it. After receiving it and installing these I realized it’s not what I needed. An upgrade I’ll be happy with of course but won’t help with me being able to shoot my gun right now. I need the spring off the left side of the trigger that holds the magazine flap/ cover closed. If I can find that spring and replace it I’ll be golden.

      The spring you are looking for is called the carrier spring. They unfortunately seem to be hard to find. Good luck!

    Hello, it is very good to have a light mechanism and trigger, but if the hammer spring is light and weak, it is likely that the gun will suffer from low-firing pin stroke and will not fire in primers with hard materials such as brass.

    The trick to the charging handle is to turn it counterclockwise so the detent isn’t in the hole and slide it out.

    I wonder if it would make it cycle lighter low brass shells easier due to less force required to compress the hammer spring?

    Are any of you having problems with the trigger pin walking out? I've noticed that mine comes out after about 25 rounds - and I only have maybe 2 boxes through the gun. I can no longer find any anti walk pins either - any ideas??

    Brought my M3K down to 6#'s, but it's still such a crappy trigger. The trigger face is short, it's gritty, it's mushy, and... Well... Wtf Stoeger!?
    I might start grinding/polishing and trying to reprofile the hammer and disconnector or something.
    I hate the trigger feel so bad I might abandon the damn gun, but I'm gonna try to make it better first. I've successfully demel modified triggers in CZ's, AR's, AK's, EAA's, RIA's, AUG's, and more, so hopefully I can do something with this POS....
    Wish you guys made a reprofiled trigger for this gun. Like a flat, adjustable trigger or something...
    Not much aftermarket support for this gun.

    stoeger m3000 or m3500 which one do you recommend?

    • @mspeed1991
      @mspeed1991 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Recommend the 3500 so you have the flexibility of using 3.5" shells for hunting if that's your thing. Mine handles 2 3/4" light target loads very well for skeet. I use 3" shells for ducks and 3.5" for sandhill crane and snow geese. Great gun for the money.

    So what the point behind the firing pin spring. All this could possible help is light primer strikes which I have never heard of being a issue with the stoeger.

    • @MCARBO
      @MCARBO  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      When you lower the hammer spring weight you have to lower the firing pin weight for reliable ignition on tough to ignite primers. Everything in firearms is a balance.

    • @robertboreman7672
      @robertboreman7672 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MCARBO True , but no one said anything about changing the firing pin here. A lighter spring will give you even lighter strikes unless you install a lighter firing pin . Less mass to move. Less energy i.e , spring tension ,required to move it. I would just change the sear spring. Less energy - finger pressure required to trip it.

    • @2S1L3NT
      @2S1L3NT 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@robertboreman7672 Huh? The kit comes with a lighter firing pin spring, and a lighter hammer spring...
