I have been trying to dial in a mini B at Trackside raceway in Wisconsin. Adding weight made the car more tame. I am currently just spinning wheels with a shock package/ suspension frequency that works with large jumps and bumps. Realized the bumps for 1/10 are a lot more bumpy shall we say for the mini's. I hope you record nerding out on spring and shock packages because I am curious.
I used to run really heavy oil and my stuff just bounced everywhere and never got into the track. I started dropping in oil and settled in on the 25wt I used in this video. I like a softer car, so the kit rear spring ain't bad. The AE blue spring is slightly stiffer and the copper spring in the Losi spring pack is stiffer than it. On our big dirt track I'll go with a stiffer spring and 30wt oil. I wish I had my car with me when I went to Trackside last month, I was upset with myself for not having it ready. That would have been a fun track to run it on.
From the battery weight. I don't think I've ever actually measured the ride height on my mini. I usually run slightly below dog bones level in the rear and a tick below level in the front.
Alex is a wealth of knowledge and kind to boot.
Brother this was exactly what I needed. Thank you!

@@TheHobbyPlexShow I very interested in the results with the c and d blocks also.
Wow thank you so much for the vid I have mine so messed up no steering pushes like crazy. Are u running the fuzzbite on the rear. Thanks agin Alex ✌️
Yep fuzzbites on all 4's.
Looks faster than a 1/10 scale, but it is just a matter of scale.
Do you rebalance your tire if you have a bigger blob of glue in one spot?
Nah. Just make sure the glue job is visually even.
would you measure ground clearance from the weight or the chassis still?
