When you moved the item to Blender and set the origin on the x y z access.. How do you set it up to be able to use the symmetry on the x axis in sculpt mode? In the video you filled in each eye separately. I scanned an item, moved it into blender and having an issue getting the symmetry the same on both sides. Appreciate any help. Great video
I'd set origin to center of mass (Volume) Then I will delete half of the fish then mirror it and re-mesh. This time left-right is symmetry and you can turn on symmetry on in sculpting menu.
Payo, I need help scanning a shiny white plastic part. It is a 200mm long handle off a washing machine that broke. I need both sides scanned, My Otter keeps losing track even after I sprayed it with some foot spray to get rid of the reflective surface. Any tips for white shiny plastic scans?
I guess that it was scanned in small/medium geometry mode, right? If so, you'll need to scan in marker mode. It's normal that a scanner can't track geometry with flat, long, repeat pattern objects.
Great video, and looking forward to the casting.
It could be in a week or two.
Very good👍👍👍👍👍. Cool work
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!
Another great video. Thanks again
My pleasure!
Great video! But i was thinking if for such object the laser scanner (Raptor) whould have been better.
Scanning with Raptor, I'd have to do 2 scans and merge. The result would be sharper, but I made 6 scans that day so.
Do you think the raptor would be able to pick up the hoop detail as good as this one?
yes, even better.
