Do you mean a Morris Traveller, or a Mini van ? If you mean a Traveller I'd suggest a Rover V8 then twin turbo it and add the NOS. It's an old school conversion but works really well

I knew a guy back in Pennsylvania in the early '70s who had a Greenbrier pickup truck (Corvair for you young guys) that he swapped in an LT1 350 and a Powerglide transmission with a Vega torgue converter, which was the early high stall speed convertor. It was dangerous because when he nailed the throttle the front end would come waaaay off the ground and go left or right or who knew which direction it was going to end up? What made it such a sleeper was that he used to drag race it with the factory motor with 2 old golden ram glasspack mufflers on it and he ran the same old mufflers behind that Vette motor & at first nobody knew the difference until the front end was way in the air scaring everyone.
At a meet I went to a while ago someone showed up with a twin turbo V8 Foxbody Mustang doing 0-60 in less than 3 seconds and pushing over 400 bph. I think that's my ultimate sleeper. That or a Volvo v70. The one with the square rear. Swap that baby and you're pushing
A VW Jetta because its the calmest vw and no one expects 400-700hp out of a mqb 1.8T Jetta. A nice 2.5 Audi RS engine with a big Turbo in a little Jetta!
As an owner and child of sleeper cars owners they aren't a sleeper if you can hear it's hiding a monster under the bed... quiet and snappy is the way to go
My favourite would be a sizuki samurai which is known as a Maruti sizuki Gypsy in India . The Indian samurai has a longer wheel base than the normal samurai
