Exactly. My Pokémon cards and makeup are all over my room but I love seeing them lol it’s comforting and when it’s used up I feel happy and I trash it. But I’m okay with buying it again on Poshmark if I need to! Cough Fenty lipstick! Cough
Also I’m enjoying my pat palettes on the shelves but then I used one and it’s not worth $125 so I’m okay with trying them and selling them haha. I still enjoyed the year that I displayed them. And the packaging is so sweet to hold and see even the heavy black plastic
But stay away from Pokémon lol it’s more $$$$ than even if I bought every Natasha Denona ever! 😂😂

Lauren, my brother in law told me about a hack for the sticky old NARS and Becca packaging: WD-40 will help remove the sticky coating. It works great!!
😮 I'm going to try that. I've heard that packaging just eventually does that and I have several makeup products with that type of packaging so I'm just waiting for it to go off. I don't know any other way to put it. Something makes that type of material just go off... it's like it has an expiration... I hate that but glad there's something to fix it.
Totally get that you’re ready to get rid of some of these things but I want you to know that at least for me I really couldn’t care less if you use and love and keep in your collection older or discontinued products. I just love to see peoples collections that are full of things that they love and are well used! 💜

Tbh I find that I judge other beauty makeup creators who have such a large collection but I find your personality and channel to be so relaxing to watch and your reviews are something I value more than others so I am alwaysss looking forward to hear your thoughts on new products and revising old products

I really appreciate that you don’t just declutter a product because it was limited edition. Because a lot of us viewers have those LE products that we love and want to see them being used.
I'm kinda new to makeup and don't have any limited edition stuff, but I was wondering why that would be a reason to declutter something? I would have thought it would be good to hang on to stuff like that, since it's sort of unique.

It does not affect me in my purchasing makeup. In reality, most people do not have a large collection that compares to what you and other influencers acquire. We appreciate that you test the new products so we will have better, more informed product-knowledge for our makeup choices.❤❤❤

Hi Lauren! Thank you for taking us on a tour of your collection. Just a heads up you grabbed a matte DoC lipstick to declutter and left behind one of the velvets. Hopefully it can be rescued from the declutter pile!

The only thing that makes me flip tables while watching declutters (I've... watched a lot... it makes me want to do my own! Since I seriously need to), and it's probably going to catch me some flack in replies...... I really, really wish everyone in the declutter vids would just *keep* the things they really *truly* love and use... and if they really-really feel guilty about wearing them - just wear them during times off camera and living life (to be honest - wear them on camera, too, if that's the only times you're able). Why torture one's self and toss/give away something truly enjoyed just because it's discontinued?

Maybe I'm one of the weird ones, but I don't mind if the things worn in videos are discontinued... If I liked something seen, searched for it and saw it's gone, I'm just going to shrug and try to find a dupe. You win some, you lose some. Everything is going to get discontinued at some point, so every video made is going to have the exact same result in the future... people always going to see the 'whats on my face' lists in video descriptions and it's all or half 'going to be discontinued' or gone at some point. I've watched a few videos that were 2-3 years old and didn't even realize. I was just there for the entertainment/was bored or because something in the thumbnail looked interesting.
I torture myself by yelling at the monitor, "Noooo, just keeep iiiiittt theeeeennnnn 💢" every five seconds during declutters, and I finally decided to speak my mind... roflmao.
Truly, I don't mind if things are used in videos but are discontinued! I get that it's based on the job aspect as a beauty youtuber, but you have to have the personal things you like, too...
Keep a personal section for these things, then? I dunno...

Exactly, that's my pet peeve also. I want to know what's truly loved and used. I've heard the explanations of why beauty youtuber's declutter things/brands that are discontinued, but honestly, as a "normal" consumer it makes no sense. All it does is push the idea of "new new new" and cause stress. I do absolutely understand that a looot of makeup comes into beauty youtuber's collections and you can't keep em all but please do keep what you still enjoy. Don't declutter only because the product is discontinued!
Lauren!!! I want you to know that you have inspired me to actually declutter my collection. This is the most awesome declutter I have ever seen. So, I fell asleep to this last night. Lol - I am rewatching this now. I’m really enjoying watching declutters and getting everybody’s opinions on make up. It’s crazy how one product can work so differently on all of us.

The bloom on Phytosurgence products is perfectly normal! It's not from being a more natural brand just from being smaller and the waxes in the formula! Products still work the same some waxes just seperate with temperature changes according to the brand!

Lauren you should check & see if the salt NY pan fits into that viseart bronzer compact! 👀 I know it would leave some empty space on the sides, but it could be a really cute house for the salt NY sneaky balm cuz I'm pretty sure it's magnetic! 🤗Great vid btw, I love that it's so long! *can I suggest if you ever feel like curating your own water activated liner palette, Gavissi has a tool to create one & it's fantastic. The pans are small, which is great because it can take forever to go through one. I made an entire palette of their duochrome liners & it's so much fun! The only liners I don't recommend from them are the black based multi/duochrome ones, they're lackluster. 💜✨

I am grateful that you mentioned Nars packaging because I had to toss two beautiful Nars blushes because the packaging got sticky while the blushes themselves seemed okay.
This happened to a NARS lipstick to me- so annoying!!!
Someone in the comments said WD-40 spray from the car section cleans sticky Nars palettes.
Surely there was another option than throwing away good blushes?
I love highlighter too but a ton of influencers I watch lately have been saying they’re not wearing highlighter anymore idk 😢

This was a perfect companion for doing my own face and then light chores 🥰 I am trying to push through my comfort zone by wearing striking blues 🙈 I'm in a blue leopard print dress and have an ombre from deep navy through bright summer sky blue shimmers on my lid. Have buffed a warm reddish brown through my crease and finished with Sea Sparkle (I think that's it's name) liner from Kaleidos. I'm feeling it, I think 🤔 Am about to go do a wealth of chores in town, so hoping everything stays in place and doesn't travel down my face 😆🤞🏻

My all time favorite reasonable foundation is the L’ORÉAL Age Perfect Radiant Serum Foundation. It is AWESOME! I highly recommend. I love the Becca Light Shifter Dewy Tint Moisturizer, but it is no longer. Another I enjoy is the Wet and Wild Bare Focus Tinted Hydrator Tinted Skin Veil. But definitely try the L’Oréal.

I've had decent success rehydrating Stila liquid eyeshadows with mixing mediums like Mehron. Maybe you can rescue ASMR with it.
Omg finally someone else that has done this too. Mehron mixing medium is the only thing I’ve ever seen dissolve a dried up stila glitter and it still works after
