I am just mad there is still no Bloodborne Remaster or remake. Like even just dropping a PC release would do so so good and they would have so many sales especially with him playing these games and posting all the full play throughs making it more popular again! I tried playing it on PS Now and for me personally I just notice the minor lag and also you get the slightly lower quality than even the normal game with the streaming service so idk we will see I might keep playing it just for fun but I really want to see this in a more modern version that is even just slightly updated ...

i’d probably recommend the Grumps playthrough over this one, simply because at the time they hadn’t actually fully beaten it before whereas Sean has played it over 20 times. there’s just something about the genuine element of surprise for me, something that this playthrough simply just isn’t able to achieve.
This game has always been on my radar as I’m a huge From fan but I’ve been on Xbox for a few years and didn’t really have much reason to get both platforms. Seeing your love and enthusiasm for this game inspired me to get a PlayStation and I’ve just got to say a huge thanks because it’s the most fun I’ve had playing a game, it’s just brilliant, such a cool atmosphere and the combat and enemy design is amazing. It’s great to see you in your element on this game, after playing it I’m amazed how skilled you are with it. Thanks again.
It’s a fantastic experience honestly, and just watching it comes nowhere close to that satisfaction of doing it yourself, I would highly recommend it, not only is it $20, but it(along with its dlc) goes on sale all the damn time so you can always get it cheap
As someone who definitely has seen Bloodborne over a dozen times and has thoroughly squeezed every last drop of blood, lore and content out of the game, I still concur with you... Bloodborne is the most intricate game I have ever seen. It has everything: Christian imagery, Shinto concepts, Buddhist cosmology, tarot iconography, occultist allusions, not to mention how it seamlessly mixes and integrates gothic and weird (a.k.a. "Lovecraftian") horror -- which I don't think has ever been done before... and for good reason: the weird fiction genre sprung up as an anti-gothic movement; the two genres are each others opposites and seamlessly mixing and integrating the two is like mixing oil and water... But I better cut this comment short here before it turns into yet another gush. xD

Man it’s wild to think about the fact that I watched this to years ago in a bad place mentally. Jack talking about stuff like his adhd and mental health got me through it. Now I’m a HS graduate and doing so much better. This video is a happy place now and I love watching it while playing bloodborne.
I agree, it's hard to find soulsborne content that isn't either dying a million times or basically just speed running the game in some way. It's nice watching someone who knows what they're doing but is still going through the game slowly and showing the cool secrets.

Seeing jack just weave through the first section, so fluidly physically makes me want to study what he’s doing, I’ve been stuck on this for like a week
I found that playing safe and throwing stones to pick enemies off individually helps until you fully understand their movements and your own, test your limits to see where they are and don’t be afraid to die many times over to figure it out
I’ve beaten bloodborne a few times, and trust me, it gets easier. It was my first soulsborne game and the first section was so unbearably difficult to me because I was not fully utilizing the mechanics you have. Try to remember enemy patterns, dodge well, go for backstabs and parries, etcetera. I died I think 3 times on Cleric Beast, but later on I would breeze through tougher bosses because once you know what you’re doing, you become much harder to kill
I’ve played Bloodborne numerous times and platinumed it. Once you get the rhythm of combat down it’s not so bad. Be aggressive and use the parry+visceral combo- but be smart. You will get better.
When first played Bloodborne it took me awhile to do things, but that really just kept me more in gauged with the lore and learnings the combat. In a way I think you get more out of Souls by being not that good it keeps the fear of enemies and bosses and really makes you want to explore to try to find items and better equipment....the whole "git gud" I think had been put on the wrong series of games it in my opinion should be applied to Monster Hunter because you get more at of MonHun games by being really good with you chosen weapon(s), also MH starts at easier than Souls, but ends up being harder when you get to Master Rank so the game gives you time but still forces you to git gud while in Souls you are always improving with leveling and better gear which makes way more of a difference in Souls than MonHun again my opinion just a thought I wanted to share.
I know I am a bit late but you got me to play blood borne and made me love it so much that I have plat the game 4 times 1 time under 10 hours 9 hours 23 minutes to be exact and after playing this game because of you I played and plat all the souls games and you made blood borne my favourite game of all time and I just wanna thank you.❤

As someone whos never played Bloodborne before and only knows it because of all of the awesome stuff you've said about it, I really appreciate you taking the time to do some extra explaining and sight seeing so us noobs don't feel as left out or lost!
There's about 30 times more lore and vibe and feel in there than you catch here (despite our boy trying not to speedrun it, which I appreciate). Honestly, if you get the chance, try it. It's not for everyone, but if it clicks for you it's the most incredible experience!
Rewatching it years later, i just wish we have more playthroughs like this on TH-cam. Just people playing their favorite games and talking about why they love it, some lore to contextualization without the stress of needing to explain everything right, tips to new players and just fun! This type of content needs to become a trend. It's absolutely amazing.
The Blood Starved Beast actually made me quit the game for years, I even ended up selling it, until 2020, when I picked it up again to give it another chance, this time though I seriously learned how to play and managed to kill the beast on my other playthrough. Bloodborne was my life saver during the pandemic, I mean it, I will always remember the sense of gratification I got when I finally killed the BSB after all those years. After that I got the platinum trophy and started playing the Souls trylogy, and finally, Elden Ring.
A tad ironic; considering the game's centred around a blood-borne pathogen. But it's good you eventually got to conquer that thing. I've never played Bloodborne (I have few games on my list to get PS4 apart from Bloodborne), but I know that boss is vicious.
my story's similar to yours, bsb made me not want to play the game at all but i still liked it so i would sometimes make a new character, get all the way to old yharnam and then stop playing and repeat. one day i was watching a bloodborne video after going down the rabbit hole of youtube and i felt super compelled to progress in the game. It took me 2 hours to beat bsb and i felt so accomplished. Literally after 30 minutes of beating her i watch another bloodborne video and i find out that bsb is completely, 100% optional. i was so mad that the whole time i spent practically a week and a half trying to progress and the boss that made me quit was optional💀💀😭😭
I've recently tried playing bloodborne for the first time ever less than a month ago, and when I reached blood starved beast it almost made me quit the game I've died ridiculous amount of time from it, but then I tried changing my play style; I tried using the cleaver and upgraded it and I tried parrying for the first time ever against this boss and it turns out it was a very easy boss and very fun one at that, between Father G, Cleric beast and amelia he was by far the best early game boss
I have seen everybody and some people's moms play these games. However, it just hits different when it's somebody's favorite game. Thanks for sharing your passion with us, Jack.

i’d probably recommend the Grumps playthrough over this one, simply because at the time they hadn’t actually fully beaten it before whereas Sean has played it over 20 times. there’s just something about the genuine element of surprise for me, something that this playthrough simply just isn’t able to achieve.
If you haven’t seen any dark souls games it doesn’t get better than this one. Bloodborne is hands down the best story and gameplay out of ALL

This game has always been on my radar as I’m a huge From fan but I’ve been on Xbox for a few years and didn’t really have much reason to get both platforms. Seeing your love and enthusiasm for this game inspired me to get a PlayStation and I’ve just got to say a huge thanks because it’s the most fun I’ve had playing a game, it’s just brilliant, such a cool atmosphere and the combat and enemy design is amazing. It’s a fantastic experience honestly, and just watching it comes nowhere close to that satisfaction of doing it yourself, I would highly recommend it, not only is it $20, but it(along with its dlc) goes on sale all the damn time so you can always get it cheap
As someone who definitely has seen Bloodborne over a dozen times and has thoroughly squeezed every last drop of blood, lore and content out of the game, I still concur with you... Bloodborne is the most intricate game I have ever seen. It has everything: Christian imagery, Shinto concepts, Buddhist cosmology, tarot iconography, occultist allusions, not to mention how it seamlessly mixes and integrates gothic and weird (a.k.a. "Lovecraftian") horror -- which I don't think has ever been done before... and for good reason: the weird fiction genre sprung up as an anti-gothic movement; the two genres are each others opposites and seamlessly mixing and integrating the two is like mixing oil and water... But I better cut this comment short here before it turns into yet another gush. xD

The quite possibly only downside of Bloodborne is that it has negatively impacted my ability to enjoy FromSoft's other games: When DS3 came out, when Sekiro came out, and even now that I'm playing Elden Ring, the same mantra keeps popping up in my head: "Man, this game is absolutely great! ...but what if FromSoft took everything they learned making this game and applied it to a Bloodborne sequel? ...why am I not playing Bloodborne 2 right now, Sony?"

Man it’s wild to think about the fact that I watched this to years ago in a bad place mentally. Jack talking about stuff like his adhd and mental health got me through it. Now I’m a HS graduate and doing so much better. This video is a happy place now and I love watching it while playing bloodborne.

I agree, it's hard to find soulsborne content that isn't either dying a million times or basically just speed running the game in some way. It's nice watching someone who knows what they're doing but is still going through the game slowly and showing the cool secrets.

Seeing jack just weave through the first section, so fluidly physically makes me want to study what he’s doing, I’ve been stuck on this for like a week
I found that playing safe and throwing stones to pick enemies off individually helps until you fully understand their movements and your own, test your limits to see where they are and don’t be afraid to die many times over to figure it out

I’ve beaten bloodborne a few times, and trust me, it gets easier. It was my first soulsborne game and the first section was so unbearably difficult to me because I was not fully utilizing the mechanics you have. Try to remember enemy patterns, dodge well, go for backstabs and parries, etcetera. I died I think 3 times on Cleric Beast, but later on I would breeze through tougher bosses because once you know what you’re doing, you become much harder to kill
I’ve played Bloodborne numerous times and platinumed it. Once you get the rhythm of combat down it’s not so bad. Be aggressive and use the parry+visceral combo- but be smart. You will get better.
When first played Bloodborne it took me awhile to do things, but that really just kept me more in gauged with the lore and learnings the combat. In a way I think you get more out of Souls by being not that good it keeps the fear of enemies and bosses and really makes you want to explore to try to find items and better equipment....the whole "git gud" I think had been put on the wrong series of games it in my opinion should be applied to Monster Hunter because you get more at of MonHun games by being really good with you chosen weapon(s), also MH starts at easier than Souls, but ends up being harder when you get to Master Rank so the game gives you time but still forces you to git gud while in Souls you are always improving with leveling and better gear which makes way more of a difference in Souls than MonHun again my opinion just a thought I wanted to share.

As someone whos never played Bloodborne before and only knows it because of all of the awesome stuff you've said about it, I really appreciate you taking the time to do some extra explaining and sight seeing so us noobs don't feel as left out or lost!
There's about 30 times more lore and vibe and feel in there than you catch here (despite our boy trying not to speedrun it, which I appreciate). Honestly, if you get the chance, try it. It's not for everyone, but if it clicks for you it's the most incredible experience!

Rewatching it years later, i just wish we have more playthroughs like this on TH-cam. Just people playing their favorite games and talking about why they love it, some lore to contextualization without the stress of needing to explain everything right, tips to new players and just fun! This type of content needs to become a trend. It's absolutely amazing.

The Blood Starved Beast actually made me quit the game for years, I even ended up selling it, until 2020, when I picked it up again to give it another chance, this time though I seriously learned how to play and managed to kill the beast on my other playthrough. Bloodborne was my life saver during the pandemic, I mean it, I will always remember the sense of gratification I got when I finally killed the BSB after all those years. After that I got the platinum trophy and started playing the Souls trylogy, and finally, Elden Ring.

A tad ironic; considering the game's centred around a blood-borne pathogen. But it's good you eventually got to conquer that thing. I've never played Bloodborne (I have few games on my list to get PS4 apart from Bloodborne), but I know that boss is vicious.
my story's similar to yours, bsb made me not want to play the game at all but i still liked it so i would sometimes make a new character, get all the way to old yharnam and then stop playing and repeat. one day i was watching a bloodborne video after going down the rabbit hole of youtube and i felt super compelled to progress in the game. It took me 2 hours to beat bsb and i felt so accomplished. Literally after 30 minutes of beating her i watch another bloodborne video and i find out that bsb is completely, 100% optional. i was so mad that the whole time i spent practically a week and a half trying to progress and the boss that made me quit was optional💀💀😭😭
I do that but add the Elder Scrolls into it and finish off with God of War 1,2,3 and 4.
I've recently tried playing bloodborne for the first time ever less than a month ago, and when I reached blood starved beast it almost made me quit the game I've died ridiculous amount of time from it, but then I tried changing my play style; I tried using the cleaver and upgraded it and I tried parrying for the first time ever against this boss and it turns out it was a very easy boss and very fun one at that, between Father G, Cleric beast and amelia he was by far the best early game boss
I have seen everybody and some people's moms play these games. However, it just hits different when it's somebody's favorite game. Thanks for sharing your passion with us, Jack.
